I waited til my 50s to treat or nervously purchase this machine. I am a true novice and your video calmed my nerves and made me feel like a true home barista in training. I am so appreciative of the walk thru for those of us who have never owned such an expensive machine but do love a good cup of expresso. Thank you again
Just got it for my birthday! I watched this video before receiving it so I was prepared to use this machine. It's my first fancy espresso machine so still a lot to learn! Thank you for putting this video together.
I watched the video while waiting for FedEx to deliver today the Barista Touch Impress. Eager to try it out and the video made it sound straightforward and easy. I can't wait!
I got mine a little over a week ago. Great machine! Takes the guess work away and no mess. Using roasted coffee w/in 30 days is for sure a lot better in terms of taste and texture (crema). Super cool. The cost is well worth it. Cheers!
Coming from a Barista Express I bought many many years ago. Randomly saw this machine and that it's so new - I saw it as a sign, from the coffmos, that I had to get it. Should be arriving today or tomorrow. I really liked the idea of making the espresso, but in reality, it's so messy and faffy. This machine just makes it a step easier...it remembers how much coffee to grind. If you change coffee bean and don't bother dialling it in - the automatic side of this checks the flow speed for you and suggests what to do - rather than basically starting it all from scratch. The milQ wand is automatic OR manual...that's just genius. It auto purges the wand. It's just those little faffy steps this thing will do for us, that's what I want!! Thanks for the videos on it!!
I purchased this about a week ago. I am having so much fun. I'm especially enjoying being able to have one every day without having to get in my car and drive to a Drive-Thru and sit in line and pay so much more not to mention sometimes depending on how busy they are my coffee is barely luke warm. 😢 I believe it is even a better tasting espresso from the breville. The place I go to I wont mention the name but the coffee always tastes burnt. It was a great decision and I'm so glad that I bought this machine. Your videos have made it so much easier to figure out this machine thank you!!
Watched your videos and got inspired to buy the machine today in Rotterdam (oops! 😉). Absolutely thrilled with it! My first latte already tastes way better than what I used to make with my moka pot. Can’t believe I used to serve those to guests with pride!
I just ordered one cant wait for it to arrive 😍, as I went to the store and checked for some of the coffee machine at the end I liked this one sage barista, the preforming is great and test of cafe is so delicious 😋 so i just bought it already
Mine is going back today. It's not functioning properly and I'm returning it and getting a different machine. I've had several different espresso machines and replaced my Barista Touch with this Barista Touch Impress. I really liked my Barista Touch but just felt like a change. I think that Breville is making so many machines and shipping all over the world, their quality control is suffering. I've had two machines DOA but the replacement ones have been fine, I just dont' think for the prices they are charging , we should have to deal with that. its' happening just too often. I'm NOT the only one posting on here about DOA machines.
Great setup video! Do you know when this machine will be available in Europe? Seems to be only available in Australia and North America for the time being…
What is the main difference between the impress, and the barista touch when it comes to guidance? Does it still tell you if the brew time is too long or too short? Someone who only drinks dairy milk does not need alternative milk options in the settings.
Great video, very useful ahead of my receiving this machine in a couple of days. Just one questions, I have a Quooker tap which has inline water filtering. If I fill the Sage tank from the filtered supply, is there any need to use the Sage filter in the tank? Thanks
@@andrewdishman335: Love it! Had a Breville Superauto for about 3 years and decided that I wanted to go to a more manual Solis manual machine & upgraded grinder. Liked the abilility to customize my coffee, but a manual machine is slow and takes effort to get the "perfect" cup. This machine is the best of both worlds. As indicated in the video the machine can be totally customized. The only issue I've seen with the machine is that I keep experimenting and have managed to give myself the "jitters" so I'm considering going to decaf or half-caf. Don't have to think about much about it and I'm not disappointed when the pressure is not in the proper range. Seriously, I'm very impressed with the flixibility and quality of my brews which are just as good as my independent coffee shops. More: the machine came with a coffee subscription of about $400 worth of coffee (free bonus) from Breville's site. Apparently they have contracted with a huge number of roasters who ship coffee to you. Signed up a couple of days ago and the first 2 bags will be coming in about 7 days. Very nice perq.
Hmm.. The oracle is much closer to a super automatic espresso machine than the touch impress! We find that the steam wand is also more powerful and able to make better micro foam, and having a 58mm poratfilter can produce a better espresso. Hard to say whether it is worth the double price tag, but we really enjoy using the oracle touch for it's dual boiler, and professional feel!
I bought this machine less than a month ago and it is plagued with problems. Every-time I use the auto milk function, the machine abruptly shuts off and flashes the error code ER09. According to other customers on Reddit, this is a very common problem. I also noticed that there was visible arcing around the temperature sensor for the milk.
Got mine last week and after a couple of days I started having issues with the steam wand being "blocked" after every single coffee I make. I have done the cleaning process 4 or 5 consecutive times already (after 4 or 5 coffees) and I can confirm that there's no blockage at all, but I keep getting the same message. I've performed a factory reset but the problem persists. I've created a case with Breville/Sage support and I guess I'll hear from them after the weekend, but it looks like I just had bad luck with a defective machine. If I turn it off after getting the "Blocked!" message and turn it on again, I can make steam milk without any issues but I get the message again as soon as the process is done and I put the wand back down after cleaning it. Has anyone had a similar issue with this machine?
@@habibi750 of course. After contacting the company they sent me a return label and once I sent it back they replaced it for a new one. I’ve had the new one for about a month and I haven’t had any issues. It was clearly bad luck with my first machine.
@@juan294 Great, good to hear. I only asked because I literally just one 20 minutes ago and was worried I might have the same issue. Thanks for the reply
Came here because I cannot get that basket together. This is not my first breville. Smaller unit should just snap inside ports filter unit. But, just like the person in the video, they simply will not come together. I even tried soaking in hot water . Dual wall. Any help out there.
My new Sage Barista Touch Impress machine arrived today and everything seems to be working fine apart from the following. When putting the portafilter into the loading dock, is it normal to have 25mm - 30mm sideways movement & also some up and down movement. When tamping the portafilter moves slightly up and down? I have not noticed this on your UA-cam video. Apart from the above everything is working normally and I have “dialed in” very quickly using fresh coffee beans.
Got my machine, like her machine, it wouldn't power on. She got hers to turn on. Unfortunately I need to get my brand new out of the box machine replaced!😢
The Intelligence brew don’t work properly got this machine on Sunday was pulling shots at 25 seconds then nothing changed started brewing at 17 seconds doesn’t even tell you it’s pulling to fast or to make any changes
I got this machine from you guys two weeks back. Utterly disappointed with this machine. Keeps switching off when I use the milk frother. Though it does not happen every time I use it, happens Atleast once a day. Breville customer support has been dodging the issue. They wanted a live video initially, but when it did not happen on live video, they asked me to send a recorded video thro email when the error happed. When I did that, they again want to go on live video and see it happen but unfortunately it didn’t at that time. I am a busy working professional and can’t expect me to sit in front of the machine every time on a video call with the customer support that’s also not as easy to connect with. My first coffee machine with Breville and first from you guys. Utterly disappointed. Will never recommend this machine to anyone. And customer support from Breville is a joke.

Great video. Quick question, can you warm the group head before pulling the shot? Like pulling an empty shot to warm/clean the group head.
Yes! You will just press the shot button to dispense some water
@ecscoffeeinc thanks! What's your recommended ratio 1:2 or 1:2.5?
I ordered one today 🎉

Not necessary but it doesn't hurt!

Does the machine let you know when water tank is getting low?
Never mentioned yet, it did not w the previous models...
Yes
Can this be hooked up to a plumbed waterline?
Hi! No this machine uses a water reservoir only

Do you know if this will come in other colours eventually?
We cannot deny not confirm if there will be some more colours launching this fall 😉

I just got the truffle coloured one today -looks awesome
What adjustments do you make for decaf?
This depends on the bean :)
What are the box dimensions? Thanks a lot
