Well if your friends are strictly in your stack then you can rank together every season. Or at the least if they're higher rank then the highest rank on the opposing team will be that same rank.
I think my issue is with my ADS settings. I can’t seem to find the right balance. My hip sensitivity is pretty low, especially on vertical, and my ADS is also low, but I just can’t find the sweet spot. For example, my vertical sensitivity is 32, my horizontal is 52, and my ADS is set to 32 for 2.5x and 30 for 1.0x. However, I’m having trouble controlling recoil-sometimes my aim goes all the way down when I fire, and other times I just can’t control it at all.
Muscle memory isnt a thing, aiming is a subconscious skill same as walking. Theres a reason why peoples can be good while changing their sense constantly. Or esle everytime you changed your sense you would be back to square one in aim completely. 🤷♂️
Aim is genetic imo, sounds cringe but I think gaming is mainly genetic. I know people that have played siege just as much as me yet aren’t as good, and vice versa.
@Kavontuckem you aren't cringe for thinking this, a lot of people think like that too. But it's mentality and just basic neuroscience. Your friends are likely just autopiloting on the game and raging when they make a mistake. Your subconscious mind only adapts to things that you consciously focus on and find challenging. Search up Andrew huberman podcast (a neuroscientist with a phd). That's how I got most of my knowledge on the subject of learning skills in general. Really depends on how much they want it and how much they actually focus on improving. Like you said I get good at games MUCH faster than my friends who played more than me. But their drive to play and have fun winning instead of just doing bs is lower than mine. Also it can't be genetic because we are like the second generation with tools like thumbsticks our ancestors were not using thier hands the way we are now. But I get what you mean some factors are genetic like base reaction time and hand eye coordination but those can all be improved aswell there's no real limit. Just look at stompn his passion for playing siege is more than pretty much everyone else he eats sleeps and breaths siege.
@Kavontuckem it's not cringe to think the way you do, it's pretty normal to assume. But it's simply not the case, It's a matter of mentality and neuroscience. Your subconscious mind only adapts to things you consciously focus on and find challenging. I got all my knowledge on the subject from Andrew huberman podcast (a neuroscientist with a phd). Which I highly recommend you go watch. But I pretty much started out at square one worse than all my friends who had way more playtime than me. But I became better than them in less time just because I focused on improvement. Just look at any pro you will see their mentality towards their game of choice is WAY different from any casual or sweat, their passion for playing is simply higher. And it's obviously not enough to simply want to get better you have to activately focus on a goal whether it be aiming or winning the game or whatever else, and your subconscious mind will do the rest of the work while you sleep. There are genetic aspects to gaming in general like baseline reaction time and your base hand eye coordination, but those can all be improved with time. I'm sure if you asked any good player and they will tell you they were terrible at some point probably worse than average. Also it can't be genetic since we the second or so generation to ever use our thumbs and wrists this way. Our ancestors never had any tools that replicate anything like using a controller thumbstick or mouse and keyboard.
