What a steel! Nicely re-potted and I'm sure it will grow happily in her new home. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Mary.
My dear have you never heard of gardening gloves. they are the trick when dealing with these type of plants.
I just recently repotted my Euphorbia African Milk tree so I know what you experience ❤️☺️👍. Great deals. Thanks for sharing👍☺️❤️
Watch out for those spines! 😁
Don’t you love when a plan (?) comes together! The cage was a great idea! I have a love/hate relationship with Euphorbias. My mother had one for 25 years and asked me every few years to transplant it because it outgrew the pot! Tried using gardening gloves, leather gloves, newspaper, etc. The darn thing got me every time! When she moved to a warmer climate, she left it in my care. As her airplane took off, I drove straight to the dump with it! I told her my good friend wanted it. Sorry not sorry.
Oh dear. They are very prickly and so funny that you brought the poor plant to the dump 😁😁😁😁
Gardening at Douentza I have no shame. 😇😇😇
You are the devil itself.
Such a FANTASTIC Euphorbia trigona and WOW what an absolute BARGAIN:-D I LOVE it
Thank you, Lyn and Hans. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Quite exciting.
You're looking so well, Rachael! I love your winter videos. They keep me excited about gardening when the ground is frozen hard.
Ah thank you. We all need lots of encouragement to get us through the dark months 😊🌻🌼🌸🍁🌱
It's beautiful!!!!
I've had one of these plants for years and recently realized he (his name is Kevin) needs a new pot because he's getting a bit tall. I think he's about a foot and a half now. I'm worried he's going to fall over! I've never repotted a plant before (I know, I know, I'm a bad plant parent. I'm learning!). This video has been very informative and I feel much more prepared to give Kevin the upgrade he deserves!
Go, Kevin! I sometimes give my plants names too, the important ones. I hope Kevin appreciates your kindness and doesn't swipe you with his spines. Goof luck!
What a stunning price for that beautiful Euphorbia! Great video!
Thank you for watching.
Superb
Thank you
Great video ☺
Hi Rachel, Happy New Year, that was a good buy,and beautiful plants ,you did a good job in repotting ,like to see the updates ,
Thanks and happy new year.
Wow! What great deals!
Yeah. I was lucky 😁
Great bargain... lucky you.😊. Good luck with both plants.
Thank you. Yes, I was lucky! 😊
Vous êtes incroyable !
Merci. Je fais mon possible 😁
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS VIDEO. I recently got the same exact prickly plant but didn't know what its called. Thanks to yu, now I do. Plus now I KNOW that white sap is poisonous 😓😵☠💀🤤😟😦 coz the prickly plant cut me and there was some sap oozing....😲 Since im alive to write this, I guess it aint that bad.🤷🏽♀️ I repotted mine which were split into 3 different stems and lost all the leaves in the process. I hope it makes it coz I like this prickly plant.😍
Glad it was helpful!
What a great video mate, I really enjoyed watching.

Thank you 😁
Hello Rachael, I've been looking for tips on how to encourage more side growth on my euphorbia trigona and so far could not find anything particularly helpful. Are you able to help? Many thanks in advance, Magda
love your videos Rachel, I was wondering you have given an update on your cattleya seedlings, how are they doing???
Came here from today's rescue video to see if there was any foreboding of things to come. Half expected the plant to scream when you plucked it out to put in cage. (Harry Potter/Mandrake episode!) Ear protection plus gloves might need be on your supply list!
If they could scream or tell us what was the matter it would help a lot 😊
Hi, me again. While watching ur video, at 3:10 when yu cut the plastic out of the Euphorbia, there is a plant in a terracotta sitting on the cabinet/bureau behind you. What is that plant called? I've been looking for its name for a year now, but no luck. Please reply if you see this message. I have that plant as well and cant find its name. How lucky am I to stumble on one video tht answers 2 lingering ques I've had.🤗🤗🤦🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽👌🏽👌🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽🌱☘🌿🌵🌵🥀🌺🍁🍀☘🌿⚘🌼🌻🌺
Thank yu from freezing Massachusetts! 🐴
Good morning. Sorry you couldn't sleep but which plant behind me in terra cotta? There are lots. Maybe give the time it appears in the video!
Those purchases were a real bargain. Very nice repotting, that cage came really handy. Do you know if your Euphorbia will grow much? They usually do, if you allow them. Mine is way over 6 meters high and I ask someone to trimm it every two or 3 years but the more we cut it down the more it grows, hehehe
Wow!!!! What a monster!
At end of repotting Rachel is out of breath, from all running around :D Really good bargains, loved hippeastrum !!!
p.s. i think i must get for you some garden gloves :P :D
Yeah, I didn't plan it very well and really couldn't be bothered to find the gloves. Thanks for watching, Liga.
@@GardeningatDouentza Nothing wrong with planing ,i loved it ,it was real video ,as it happens in life ,with me too 😁
is that a hybrid or is the species name spelled wrong (s/b trigona?)? Got to love a good bargain!
Ah, yes. I have written it down wrong. I think they must have made a mistake and it's E. trigona. I'll change the info in the details in a minute.
Looking good Rachel I’m glad I managed to give you a nod at the tag on Facebook hah
Yeah, thanks for that. It was very funny 😁
Gardening at Douentza yes haha
Pls give me answer the soul is wet Or after repot is it necessary to give water or not.pls reply
The soil is dry. Don't water cacti after repotting for a few days or up to a week. This allows roots to heal. If the roots are damaged and you water it, they may rot. It is the opposite of regular plants.
@@GardeningatDouentza very very tks.have a good time.
sorry, you have not given an update on your cattleya seedlings??
Hmm, not recently anyway. Maybe I'll think about doing that.
Real bargain hunter.......Dutch ancestors ? 😁
Haha. The Dutch aren't the only ones who like a bargain 😁
😁
Why would you throw away the smaller pieces, what a waste. You could have propagated and given them to friends.
Life is full of wasted opportunities. It is important to expend energy on what is important to us and not waste time and money on what might be nice for others.
I am surprised you didn’t wear gardening gloves, ouch!
Too much of a hurry to go looking for them 😁
Not a cactus..
😄
