I'll be completely honest here: Yes. I rewound to read it. I even tapped play/pause repeatedly on my phone screen to get to the sweet, sweet subliminal message.
very cool video I used nail polish remover and paper towels to remove the logos on my alesis mylar heads to give a cleaner look too it took some elbow grease but I got them all clean.
Nice, this happened to me accidentally a few years ago, I wanted to remove a stain and almost got rid of the logo:D But nice how you can remove it completely. An you are 100% right about the new Roland heads! What have they done with those mid logos?!
Great video Justin and I love the comment at 0:35. I just don't want advertising on anything. I don't want logos on my clothing, or my car or my drum gear. I love my gear, but until Roland, Gretsch, Simmons, Zildjian, Alesis, DDdrum & GoeDrum start sponsoring me (which ain't never gunna happen), I don't want to go on stage looking like a NASCAR automobile. Has anyone tried this yet with black mesh drum heads?
Hey Justin, really love your channel man! I was wondering if you have done any vidoes on types of headphones you should use for e drums, I currently playing on a roland td 9kv drum kit and I'm actually using a gaming headset for my headphones, a kingston hyper x cloud 2 headset, a friend of mine told me that I should invest in a good headset but I'm wondering what the difference would because, i mean, i think the sound is fine with my current headset but I have never tried anything else so i don't really know.
Hi Justin. Got a question for you. Does playing/practicing on an electric kit hinder/improve your playing technique? Was mulling this today and thought practicing on a budget electric kit (Kat KT3) forced me to improve technique. What's your thinking? What differences in technique are required?
I know I already asked for this, but could you do a video on how to increase the lifespan of our electronic drum set? (how to not break it quickly)? Great video btw, I don't have a mesh head kit (I don't even have a kit) but i still enjoyed it.
Hi Justin! A little off topic question to the video here, i have a TD11KV and i have had it for about two and a half years and now i want to upgrade. I want to buy the Roland TD25KV so i get better sound, better hi-hat and larger pads. How much do you think that i could get for a Roland TD11KV used for about three years and in a good condition, no defects and not any damage to pads, cymbals or rack. Does it drop insanley so i get barley nothing or do you think can i get pretty good money for it so i have some money to help me finance a TD25KV? Love all your videos btw! You are a great commentator and your vids are very good and informative!:)
65 Drums Oh thats quiet good:) This might be hard for you to answer but do you think that used Electronic drums can be shipped from eBay overseas? Cause i live in Sweden and there is not a very big used Market her, here you'll mostly have to buy new. The only used sets you can find here is old Rolands, you rarely find any TD25s
I was at a Guitar Center yesterday to try out all the ekits since my home kit is an Alesis Crimson and doesn't have the best feel or sounds, and I noticed that their Crimson had a horrible problem. They were using a felt beater on the mesh kick head, and it was all but gone, and you were kicking straight into the foam under it. You would think a music store would know better than that, right?
Bleaching away ugly logos is a great idea! Now show me please how to put on a nice logo on a mesh head, I would love to put the REMO logo on my mesh heads, because I love the REMO heads and the logo. Lol, it is more ment as a joke, but on the other side, I really wish it would be possible
65 Drums I will try....I got an idea how to do it and if it works I will send you pictures. I guess I am crazy to try it, but I think it would be fun if I can get my custom made logos on my meshs
Well Justin, I just tried to remove the Drum-Tec logo from one of my 3ply mesh heads today and it does not disappear!!! Maybe the bleach product I used is not strong enough. I will look for a stronger bleach and try again.
65 Drums well, I sent you some mails with pictures. The Logo removal failed so far, but I printed a nice custom made REMO logo on a mesh, it works haha.
I'll be completely honest here: Yes. I rewound to read it. I even tapped play/pause repeatedly on my phone screen to get to the sweet, sweet subliminal message.
had to do it hahaha
very cool video I used nail polish remover and paper towels to remove the logos on my alesis mylar heads to give a cleaner look too it took some elbow grease but I got them all clean.
That's a great idea :) hadn't thought of that

I'm with you on this one. I'm not sure what Roland was thinking
Great video Justin and I love the comment at 0:35.

+JD Sampson Yes I've done a video on that :) sennheiser 280 Pros are the ones to buy :)
have you considered getting in to drum covers?
instagram ;) They're all there

It depends on the material Mesh/Rubber/DTX/OnHead all play differently. The way I look at it, if it gets you to practice more, its a good thing.

I'll keep that video Idea in mind :) I wrote it down the first time. I'm just thinking of what I'd say in it lol
What u think better to buy Alesis strike kit or Roland TD11
It's about $ 100 difference
I wouldn't buy the stike for awhile yet, until they fix all the issues people are having with them.

Hey thanks man :) on ebay you can get around $1100 for it.

Have you tried white ink on a black mesh head? I was wondering if it came off the same way.
My experience with black ones: no luck at all... The good thing is that at least I didn't cause any damage to the head...
what do you think of RTOM BLACK HOLE?
I think its a great idea
me too, but i think that they are overpriced

Those stores don't care about edrums. Especially Sam Ash. They put little to no time setting them up.
Great video, but you missed to add the link to the video for cleaning the mesh heads in the description.
+Pette thanks! I just added the link
I’ll try on a pair of mesh which I bought used, that has marker on them
baskeball. New sport for e-drummers. Ha Ha. Love 65drums
Its the ONLY sport for edrummers
0:35
Goddamn it, Justin, I had to rewind it 3 times
And you know I did that on purpose 😉
good video, Justin and I just HAD to pause at 0:35 to read your subliminal message, you slave to logos! lol
lol
Can you compare budget e drum kits (~$500) to the higher end ones (~$2000)
I already did :) I've got videos on the best kit for
$500/$800/1000/1200/1500
65 Drums Oh snap! Thanks! Also, congrats on 10k in advance ;)
Thanks!
i did
You should do a blooper video from all your videos as part of your 10k subscriber thing.
Thanks for the suggestion :)
そうそう。これが知りたかった。うちのRolandのlogoも消えるかな?
yes
logos=sponsorship if one makes videos lol
I even like the muffle head logo as well
to each his own :)

I re-wound to see it. Am I an idot ?
no.. but you did misspell the word idiot.
touché
Thanks mate. I considered using bleach but then I changed my mind as I didn't know if it could damage the mesh head
Its a risk, but it worked for me. I've also heard nail polish remover has worked too.
imagine printing patent numbers on a drum head - Roland needs to get its cool on..
They need to chill
yes I rewound lol!!
lol
I re-wound
yaaaassss
From the thumbnail I thought you burned them off with a laser.
That's a light sitting on the floor lol
yes I rewound lol ;) wasn't so easy by the way :D
You'd better believe I made it hard on purpose ;)
Of course I do ;) It added some fun to my day by the way ;)
i put the video speed on 0.25 because i wasnt quick enough to pause it
hahahha
I rewound haha
lol
