Yes, Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless are favorites of mine. I also like Michael Learned, Christine Lhatti, Sally Field, and Alison Janney. I'm so glad you like my video! Isn't it great that Tyne and Sharon got all those well deserved awards?!
This was very well put together. After looking at all the winners in the 70s I am kinda of shocked not to see one win for Karen Grassle who played Caroline Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie.
i had forgotten that patricia wettig won TWO emmys for her role as nancy on thirtysomething. she was wonderful! also, sada thompson was brilliant as tough matriarch kate on family. that was truly one of the best shows of the 70s! gosh i miss good television!
I got the Idea to do this video after seeing the video "Oscar winners - Best Actress (from 1927 to 2006)" Also, I've always been a big Emmy fan because I love good TV. I generally prefer TV over movies because I think there's more good TV than there are good movies. Thanks for commenting!
@thumper6988 I agree about karen Grassle...but she was always up against powerhouse Michael Learned and then the one year Michael won, Angie Dickinson was also a nominee...sometimes there's just stiff competition. I remember in the 80s I used to get mad when Tyne or Sharon ALWAYS won because there were just SO MANY great shows on with great stars who also deserved to win.
Linsay deserved to win that year. The first year of Bionic Woman was FAB. Sada Thompson deserved to win...like Michael Learned, she is another underrated actress. She was phenomenal as Kate Lawrence in Family. Babara Bel Geddes was the ONLY one on Dallas to win an Emmy (of those fortunate to be nominated) She won for the awesome two part episode "Mastectomy". I always felt that Linda Gray was cheated out of the Emmy for the eps dealing with her hitting rock bottom with her alcoholism.
Lindsay Wagner, Gillian Anderson and Mariska Hargitay are the best!!! Gillian is the youngest actress to win this award?? Because Lindsay Wagner have 28 years old in 1977 and Gillian have 29 in 1997.
I know. She's a deserving actress. I think the problem was that Murder She Wrote was too "light" of a show compared to the competing dramas. Thanks for watching!
Fascinating! Great to see Cagney & Lacey
Allison Janney and Sharon Gless are my favs!!
Thanks for posting! Love Barbara bel Geddes!

Of all these shows, the only one I've ever seen was The Bionic Woman. LOVED that show!
I do! It's so nice to see there actually are other Michael Learned fans out there! :D
I'm so glad you like it!
Thanks for watching! I agree with you. I was so glad Allison Janney won all those awards. I'm glad you like Tyne Daly so much! :)
I absolutely agree...Michael Learned was phenomenal on "The Waltons", and definitely deserved the Emmy's she won.
Barbara Stanwyck rocked!
I am in 100% agreement! :-) She's extremely talented and so believable in every role.
This was very well put together. After looking at all the winners in the 70s I am kinda of shocked not to see one win for Karen Grassle who played Caroline Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie.
Another Michael Learned fan here! I especially loved her on "The Waltons".

I'm glad you like it!!!
The Bionic Woman and The Sopranos big impacts, great actresses
i almost screamed when i saw Mariska Hargitay. She is my role model. Omg, i LOVE HER!

You're welcome! My favorites are Barbara Babcock, Tyne Daly, Sharon Gless, Michael Learned, and Allison Janney.
She's my favourite in this list too! Thanks for watching! :D
Allison Janney all the WAY!!! The greatest female role of them all, played to perfection!!!!!
I will. Thanks for commenting!
I love Michael Learned she is my favourite and i think the best!!!
Lots of work went into this and it shows. Having said that, if you ever do a re-mix, it is E-D-I-E Falco, not Eddie. :)
You're welcome! I'm glad you like it!
Mariska Hargitay rocks! I wish she would have won this year. *sigh* lol
DANA DELANY FOREVER
You go Miss Ellie!!
I plan too! :)

Oops! I'm so sorry! I made another error somewhere else but I won't tell you where. Lol!

I Know. Isn't she great in "The West Wing" ?!! Thanks for commenting! :)
MARISKA!
I kinda love her ;)
Yeah, she was good. :)
I don't care. She's a fabulous actress with a beautiful face. :)
gillian anderson and mariska hargitay are my girls :)
4:34 That's a good look on Edie Falco.
Susan Hampshire pic for Forsyte Saga is incorrect. That is Nyree Dawn Porter...
Do search for Fleur Forsyte 1967 and you'll have right one.
Interesting. I cheered when Sharon Gless came on of course! :)
Just curious, why did you decide to do this video?
"Conquest of Paradise" by Vangeli
Lindsay Wagner, Gillian Anderson and Mariska Hargitay are the best!!!

patricia arquette < the best woman of the world
It's a shame and travesty that Melissa Leo and Angela Lansbury aren't in this mix. The Emmys are pathetic sometimes.
Lindsay Wagner is the best...
Angela Lansbury lost her 12 consecutive nominations for "Murder, she wrote" (1985-1996)! 😒😒😒
I know. She's a deserving actress. I think the problem was that Murder She Wrote was too "light" of a show compared to the competing dramas. Thanks for watching!
I plan too! :)
