Andy is one of the greats and never fails to tell a story in his playing. He never fails to swing or to take the audience in surprising directions. So much so that the conventional becomes obscure. I hear a wave of sound that invites me to move my feet, relax, and breathe a little deeper. Andy Brown is one of Chicago’s greatest treasures.
