  • Due to the current UK travel restrictions the interest in camping & especially wild camping has increased dramatically this year. Their has been a lots of questions on my video and popular forums & facebook groups of how you can start wild camping and what equipment to use. These videos look at back to basics budget equipment that is perfectly adequate to cater for most peoples needs in UK wild camping. Part 3 concludes with a morning breakfast & final thoughts of leave no trace.

Cheers Andy...I’ve enjoyed all 3 of your starter videos. You’re right about the noise deer and foxes make...pretty scary when you don’t know what they are!😳

The exterior mic was plugged in. Only seems to do that when it was plugged direct. When the mic was on an extension lead it was fine. Will have to investigate that.

I have xmas week off which is very rare and my original plan was too go to the peak district for another 2 night camp but unfortunately Derbyshire will be in tier 3 so no overnight stays allowed. Maybe a local camp or possibly boating, not sure yet as weather dependant.

Many planned for this year, especially multiday camps involving taking a train somehwere and walking back home. Xmas last year was a no-no this year as it would of been breaking lockdown rules. Even now it's a bit dodgy as tents not allowed on proper campsites til 17th May.

A local camp would be good if you can.

It would, trouble is their isn't anywhere. A popular close by wood is closed to public access and everything else is private. Seen a possible location at Point Clear. We are just too populated this side of Essex and their is no public access land/commons.
