+cance7984 We had devices (Computers, TV, Video Games, etc) But we would spend as much if not more time having fun away from our electronics. I introduced my young niece to my old shows. She said on her own "Why aren't there shows like this anymore?"
Even having a rough childhood growing up, these cartoons got me out of reality. They were the moments when I could actually get lost and be happy for a while.... I miss them.
I was born in 88 and I can easily say that both the 90s and the 00s were great times. The reason why most people love the 90s is because it was just a cool ass time. Most of your emotions and memories are from your childhood ,and that's usually the happiest time of your life so if you grew up in the 90s like me, you'll prob envy the lazy, carefree days of your childhood.
Still more of a 00's kid, but yes you got to enjoy a lot of the great 90's stuff. I was born in 80 and I got too see the best of it all. None of this political bull crap that's going on right now. We had better music, TV Shows, Clothes, Slang, and even video games in my opinion. Great time to be alive for sure. Let's just pray it gets better for kids than worse as times go on.
Someone born in 1990 would be a teenager during the 2000's since he would be 18 by 2008. I think he would be too old for 2000's kids stuff like Ben 10, Bakugan and Neopets.
This gave me chills and took me down memory lane, the 90's was the best era for tv hands down. I feel sorry for the new generation because they'll never know that great tv experience.
There's fewer things I'm more grateful for than having had a 90s childhood. Born in 1987 and I couldn't have asked for a better time to have been born and had my childhood. If only we could turn back time to re-live it all again.
Born in 1989, the first 10 years of my life took place in the 90s. And I have to say I miss it like crazy. Even the first couple of years of the 2000s where great in my opinion. Probably due to the fact that I was still a clueless kid who didnt't really give a **** about what year it was. Back then, the internet was nearly inaccessible and REALLY slow.. But still exciting and highly appreciated, not taking for granted like it is now. And google couldn't solve all the mysteries in the world, we had to figure them out ourselves. And yes, we did enjoy Saturday morning cartoons and our Nintendo systems because it was all we had. We knew how to appreciate the little things in life. And we did in fact spend alot more time outdoors than kids these days. Throwing rocks at cars, blowing up mail boxes with fireworks, talking smack about grown-ups and our teachers etc.. Basically, we where just being ignorant kids without a care in the world. We never wanted to rush ourselves to adulthood, we just wanted to be kids while we still had the chance. My point is, todays kids are simply too... boring i guess? They grow up way too fast and they forget how to have a great time. I don't think they're gonna look back on their childhood with fond memories like we do. They already have everything ergo nothing to look forward to. This is of course just my opinion, not necessarily based on facts. Thanks for bearing with me.. And excuse me english :)

i remember a lot of this, who all remembers the days of going into places like Hills, Woolworth (which Indian Mound Mall never had), Lazarus and KB Toys and shopping around with their parents? and who remembers the days when Macy's and JCPenny sold electronics? who remembers: furby, Aha take on me (radio mix), AOL, Chat rooms Dial up, Stacy Q, sega saturn and most of all napster?
I LOVE SPONGEBOB FOREVER oh me too me too but i mostly remember the preschool shows I was never old enough to remember shows like ren and stimpy or rockos modern life ect
Back when memories were so precious. It wasn't important to share every moment with the world. Things still had mystique. Life was still interesting. Maybe one day we will find a balance again. I was at a grocery store today and saw a middle-age woman taking a selfie in the vegetable aisle. 😕 #DialTone
todays generation of kids in the future: "oh hey, do you remember that sitcom we used to watch as kids on disney channel and nickelodeon?" and the other other person would be like "which one out of the 50?..."
Once I hear this phrase: "Music today sucks. Back in my day, we had artists like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and One Direction. That was back when music had talent." I'll shoot myself while jumping off a building.
+Tommy Dee Not all music artists of today are bad though, your just mentioning the less talented ones. Im sure someone from the future wouldnt recall Miley or Justin when discussing the "best" music from today in their future time period, Unless theyre the sheltered type that only listens to mainstream radio music (but even then they dont always play Justin Beiber or whatever on the radio anymore) Music nowadays is pretty much like this though: A "really good" song comes out and its popular for like a couple weeks to a few months and then theres a new song that comes out to replace it and everyone then forgets about the song that was once popular and the same thing happens over and over with new songs. The songs are just easily forgettable and replaceable. And plus nowadays everyone thinks they can be famous and make songs and on tv a lot of the shows are about being a hollywood star or something similar and they dont put in the time or the effort and have the creativity to make songs with originality. Its like theyre all following some kind of formula or guide on how to make a song
Fease Yough But that's his point, people nowadays (very bold of me I know, but it's somewhat true) only listen to what's playing on the radio/ mainstream music. And in most cases those songs/artists are built not only to be sonically but also visually appealing, repetitive, lyrically simple, and with the same familiar structures. Basically mediocre. It's like an evil circle of mediocre song that gets replaced, and in the end if people enjoy listening to this and don't get tired of it, it'll become their comfort zone, they wont bother to educate or look up new types of music or the history behind it. The problem aren't the artists really, it's the peoples obsession with dumb shit, being ignorant and disabilities with being critical. Because of the internet you would've thought more people would be exploring and less ignorant about music...nope..
I fuckin hate how life is going right now, its mainly teens dressing up kinda stupid and even little kids with all the swag, the music and the technology, i miss the 90s
Every generation think's that their childhood was the last true childhood before it all went to shit. I do agree though, 10 yr olds with this..."swag" really pisses me off.
holy shit this bring's me back in my childhood day's when I was 9 years old coming home from School I had to take off my shoes and backpack my babysitter made an awesome dinner with my favorite food it was fried banana's with black beans don't forget ELSalvadoran Cream and it was good. my favorite cartoons was TMNT 80s 90s batman series MMPR and the rest of 90s cartoons
In the 1990's, there was one certain restaurant I used to ask to go to every night for dinner, but it was The Ground Round, not McDonald's. They used to serve popcorn at the tables and show B/W silent cartoons on the projector screens.
I believe 2001 was one of the worst years of my life. But I may have to agree with you. I spent most of that year with no cable or satellite tv. Every Weekday and Saturday I spent that time watching Digimon. When Pokémon got to Johto Journeys that time, it pretty much went down hill. I felt like I was left with nothing to watch.
I was born in 1996 and I was 5 during 9/11. I remember our elementry school went into lockdown. Plus I do agree that after 9/11 things got bad for the worse. I kind of do miss pre 9/11 even though most of the people born in the 90s were in Elementry School/starting Middle School. Its crazy to think that there is a majority of high schoolers today who are under the age of 17 that were only toddlers during 9/11. That means those people are in 8th grade to 11th grade as of today. Heck, there are even teenagers who were not even alive during 9/11. That just makes me feel old lol.
dbz, wwf attitude era, batman beyond, 1990 ninja turtles movie. Alot of 90's kids content was borderline adult material thats why it was so awesome, nowadays all the kids show are dumbed down too damn much. That's mainly why it was so good to be a kid in the 90's
Being a 90’s kid myself(born in 87’) as I watch this, this brings back a lot of memories. Some include the Mark Mcgirie-Sammy Sosa HR race, not only Ken Griffey Jr himself as a player but his perfect beautiful swing and how he dominated the hr derby, TRL*, the MTV spring break specials*, Real World*, Road Rules*, Road Rules Vs. Real World*, Daria*, How we had to play outside, how we had to go somewhere(like a mall) and shop when we wanted something. *My oldest sister was a teenager at the time and she watched those shows and I watched them with her. I liked them too. Kids now will never understand how great the 90's were. It really is an honor to be a 90's kid.
Is this meant for those who were kids back then? Did adults not exist in the 90s? A generation is more than kids shows and snacks. Politics, education, crime, fashion, music, events, culture, changes, inventions, technology, sociology, trends... Those are all things that should be taken into account. I was a kid in the 90s and I liked it. However ask a grown adult about how they felt the 90s were and they will say the 90s were shit for the most part. This 90s nostalgia went from genuine appreciation to pure hype. If you were born after 1994 what exactly do you remember about the 90s? Barney and JayJay the Jet plane? Sit your ass down.
Oh my god I agree completely. I'm 18 so I don't and can't claim the 90s, but the people who do are so fucking proud for no reason. They hype up the video games, cartoons, and toys, but they forget that everything else was lame, especially politics. They use current technology like cell phones, computers, and the internet, but they talk shit about the kids of today that use them, even though, if the gadgets that are available today were available back then, they'd jump at it. They cry for networks to bring back 90s cartoons, even though most of them were shitty. They claim the 90s had the best music, but they don't want to remember Vanilla Ice. This happens with every generation, when you think about it. 80s kids probably talked about how much better kiddie shit was in the 80s during the 90s, 70s kids probably did the same in the 80s. It's a cycle and 2000s kids are starting to do the same. 90s kids are just more annoying about it. But I'm just doing a lil 3 am ranting, ~so whatevz~.
I was gonna say after 1992. To be a 90s kid you have to have spent most of your kid years in the 90s not just 1 or 4 of the 90s. If memory starts at 3 then 1992 spent 5 years in the 90s thats most of the 90s.
I was born in 91. I'm 22 now. I wish that there was like a a whole month or two where they just played all the old shows we watched. I miss them all so much.
*Ugh* Nostalgiagasam! I'm not going to say that todays cartoons suck...(Adventure time is pretty good) but there was something about the T.V. Shows of yesteryear that knew comedy and how to entertain more than what we have now.
Man, I remember my body getting up on itself on Saturdays XD now I just stay sleeping like a bum. Glad I lived the 90's, I had a rough childhood but it was heavenly. The best thing about the 2000's was the internet the rest suck i blame Dubya Bush, The 10's are pretty cool wonder how the 20's will be like heheh. To all you 90's and 80's kids out there we are nearing 2015! This is a very important year to us 80's and 90's Kids as that year was the neat 'Future' in Back to the Future 2! and the way the 90's was we believed that by the year 2015 they world would be well...Back to the Future awesome! (Again I blame the government and their useless wars) But yea 2015! soon! Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. ~ Doc Brown.
I was 16 in 98 it was an amazing time I constantly miss those days I'm very sentimental and nostalgic old movies and songs are like time machines I love watching old 90s footage cameras we're very rare then
I don't know if anyone else in the comments section has said this yet, so I'm just going to say it and wait to see what happens. The colors, Duke, the colors!!!!
We were a lot tougher back then. Try sitting your slip and slide up on the drive way Then running at full speed and baseball sliding head first.........you only make that mistake one time.
Wow, great memories! I miss the 90's. Back when people were still decent people. Back when the Lightening Bugs were your sign that you had to go inside for the night. Back when there was still a BALL PIT at Mcdonalds. I hate that my children won't have this kind of childhood. Thanks for posting.
we called them 90's shows due to the fact that people that was born in the 90's (1990-1997) was old enough to retain what the people or cartoons charters was saying. by that i mean if i was born in 1993 and a show came out in 1993 i really can't say anything about it (Due to the fact that I'm a freaking baby) but i can talk about shows that came out in 1999-2000's because I'm old enough to know what they are talking about because i would be about 5-7 years old. Do that make any sense?
Though born in 97, there's a lot of stuff from that decade I still hold dear! Who would've thought an old UA-cam video could have such an impact on how things used to be? Better days. Can't forget those days indeed!
Food was affordable.
T.V. shows were watchable.
Everyone isn't hypnotized with a stupid device in their face.
BRING BACK THE 1990s, PLEASE.

i remember a lot of this,
who all remembers the days of going into places like Hills, Woolworth (which Indian Mound Mall never had), Lazarus and
KB Toys and shopping around with their parents? and who remembers the days when Macy's and JCPenny sold electronics? who remembers: furby, Aha take on me (radio mix), AOL, Chat rooms Dial up, Stacy Q, sega saturn and most of all napster?
born in 1993 and im very happy about it !!!
I LOVE SPONGEBOB FOREVER oh me too me too but i mostly remember the preschool shows I was never old enough to remember shows like ren and stimpy or rockos modern life ect
I will forever love the 80s and 90s! I was teen when all these shows were out... ='(
Back when memories were so precious. It wasn't important to share every moment with the world. Things still had mystique. Life was still interesting. Maybe one day we will find a balance again. I was at a grocery store today and saw a middle-age woman taking a selfie in the vegetable aisle. 😕 #DialTone
Omg I think the same thing all the time!!!
NJASZN It’s a sad decade we live in
todays generation of kids in the future: "oh hey, do you remember that sitcom we used to watch as kids on disney channel and nickelodeon?" and the other other person would be like "which one out of the 50?..."
Im sure someone from the future wouldnt recall Miley or Justin when discussing the "best" music from today in their future time period, Unless theyre the sheltered type that only listens to mainstream radio music (but even then they dont always play Justin Beiber or whatever on the radio anymore)
Music nowadays is pretty much like this though:
A "really good" song comes out and its popular for like a couple weeks to a few months and then theres a new song that comes out to replace it and everyone then forgets about the song that was once popular and the same thing happens over and over with new songs.
I was born in 2000 and I remember most all of these.
glad I was a 90's kid
holy shit this bring's me back in my childhood day's when I was 9 years old coming home from School I had to take off my shoes and backpack my babysitter made an awesome dinner with my favorite food it was fried banana's with black beans don't forget ELSalvadoran Cream and it was good. my favorite cartoons was TMNT 80s 90s batman series MMPR and the rest of 90s cartoons
If you aren't at least 30, then this video doesn't fully apply to you: you didn't really experience the 90s.
If you were born from 1992-1996, then you experienced the mid & late 90s. 😎
In the 1990's, there was one certain restaurant I used to ask to go to every night for dinner, but it was The Ground Round, not McDonald's. They used to serve popcorn at the tables and show B/W silent cartoons on the projector screens.
i was from 94. best 6 years of my life. then once 2001 hit everything started to suck. i blame 9/11
I believe 2001 was one of the worst years of my life. But I may have to agree with you. I spent most of that year with no cable or satellite tv. Every Weekday and Saturday I spent that time watching Digimon. When Pokémon got to Johto Journeys that time, it pretty much went down hill. I felt like I was left with nothing to watch.
hahahahah me 2
When you put it that way, you are absolutely right, 9/11 changed everything for the worse :(
I was born in 1996 and I was 5 during 9/11.
CrazyPigeon834 Oh yeah, because shows facing issues such as identity, autism, divorce, and that aren't adult.
CrazyPigeon834 Also, dumbed down? What do you mean? Like dumb jokes and concepts?
who is cutting up onions while this video is playing?

90's kids are just superior.
I just watched a remember the 00's video. That shit was wack. Thank God im a 90's kid.
Truer words have never been spoken my friend.
this is a FACT
***** umm thats not a fact, its an opinion.
***** Agreed... But Im just saying, its all a matter of opinion.
The zeroes mostly sucked. The Sarah Silverman show was good and so was Anti-Flag but that was about it.
I miss the 90s... I miss being a kid... I hate my life and everyone around me now. Im only 24 and already a miserable bitter bitch most of the time.
I'm color blind kid...
Hey, I used to watch some of these shows too. At 0:24, the name of the show is Gullah Gullah Island if you really needed to know that.
We were a lot tougher back then. Try sitting your slip and slide up on the drive way
Then running at full speed and baseball sliding head first.........you only make that mistake one time.
Now all kids do is sit around playing with their cellphones...........
Guilty as charged
Sandman552 Back in my day, the boys stayed all day inside playing their SNES, and girls talked on the phone....
Wait.
I'm spazzing out right now!!! Man they don't make 'em like they used to!! All these shows take me back!!!
Hahahahaha! Let the good times roll -Joker, Batman: The New Animated Series
You forgot to mention the TV show "Guts" it was usually on after "Legends of the Hidden Temple".
Rescue 911, when reality shows were actually decent!
People were not decent in the 90's.
If anything these "90s kids" are more of dicks than anybody else.
382 people are not from the 90s!
and they don't sit in their mom's basement complaining on how it's not the 90's anymore
Did i say that anywhere? Thats funny, I dont see that in my comment from 3 years ago. Go be a troll somewhere else.
Lol i'm not gonna go through the whole thing..but as told by ginger aired in 2000....and rocket power was 1999-2004..hardly call them 90s shows.
we called them 90's shows due to the fact that people that was born in the 90's (1990-1997) was old enough to retain what the people or cartoons charters was saying. by that i mean if i was born in 1993 and a show came out in 1993 i really can't say anything about it (Due to the fact that I'm a freaking baby) but i can talk about shows that came out in 1999-2000's because I'm old enough to know what they are talking about because i would be about 5-7 years old. Do that make any sense?
Full House u forgot
Though born in 97, there's a lot of stuff from that decade I still hold dear! Who would've thought an old UA-cam video could have such an impact on how things used to be? Better days. Can't forget those days indeed!
do you know what they need to do. they to create a channel that air show from the 90s to the early 2000s.
There's already one. It's called UA-cam + Search Bar.
Some of this stuff is 80s and 70s stuff and even older.
This also seems very much like white people remembering the 90s.
i hate 90's kids, because they stereotype 00's kids like me and 10's kids.
Ikr, I hate when they do that.
finally somebody who has the same opinion as me
Uhm...'10s kids are still kids today.
Yeah, they think we would be too young to remember the 90s just cause they cant
I was born in 1995, so even though I didn't actually experience the 90s physically, I enjoy the 90s thru the internet, so I'm a vicarious 90s kid.
