Brilliant to see you playing Tapton. My dad used to take me the pitch and putt course as a kid and then I started playing golf on the 18 hole course when i was 14-15 ish with a cheapo half set. So many fond memories of playing hundreds of rounds there. Maybe not played it now for over 30 years after i moved out the area but must come back one day to reminisce. I do remember starting out i holed a second shot on the short par 4 2nd hole for an eagle!! Never ever had an eagle since ha ha.
I was same as you. Many memories with my dad on the dobin at similar age with a set of clubs off the market when I wasn’t playing football. And those golf good shots stay with us and bring us back for more. :) I was on the course last night and it’s in v good condition.
Great video. Played it earlier this week and was in mint condition but my score was not close you yours :-) always loved Tapton and the people who work there are great so hope the new company taking over from SIV don't make too many changes
Thanks Paul. Front 9 def easier to score than the back 9. And I’ve been so busy building the new website etc that my game isn’t as sharp as it was last year. Hopefully get time to fully practise again soon. And absolutely with the staff. I’ve made some good friends there.
@golfmaddad79 definitely cos my score went to absolute pieces on the back 9. If you can do a video at Barlborough early evening that is good especially when the deer start to come out
@@paulcrookes1909 will add it to the list. I need to start filming golfing gems series 2 asap. Just been so busy but need to get back to practising and filming vlogs.

The course I grew up on playing at. Still use the driving range there every week and have the occasional round there
