    I did wet healing aftercare my first time. I feel like my little brow strokes became blurred and not as sharp once healing process was finished. I thought maybe this was normal. Then I found out about dry healing, so when my brows needed to be refreshed, I did dry healing. This time the results were more dramatic. The strokes remained sharp. I just had my 4th touch up and plan on continuing using the dry healing method.

    Today is my 10th day after the powder brow procedure and even tho I have scabs it's not falling off. I was afraid but after hearing, you say that the longer the scabs stay the better, I feel more relieved. My brows are scabbing and look cracked but there is no pain or swelling, I continue with the wet method and hopefully, everything goes well. Thank you for this video it helps a lot.

      Youre very welcome. And usually all of the scabs fall off by day 14. But everyone is different and will heal in their own time. Just leave them alone for now and let the body do its healing. 👍🏻

      Oily skin here as well. In 2020 I got micro bladed, I did the dry method back then as well. Now I’m 5 days in this time with ombré brows. Since my skin is so oily the lady told me to do the dry method unless they get really dry. When I looked closely at my brows tonight I realized they are finally starting to scab.

    Thank you for the thorough explanation. I kept hearing different care instructions on videos of different people having it done and wondered why. I had mine tattooed a series of 5 times with permanent cosmetic pigment starting 9 years ago. I've been letting them fade for the last few years and am getting them microbladed in a couple weeks after we did 3 angel removal sessions (pricking the skin with needles then applying a citrus-based solution to flush out the ink) to lighten them further. My original artist did the wet method, but I'm pretty sure she did NOT have me wash them, since they got so caked in product. 😬 She is still doing it today for the same cheap Groupon price (despite 21% inflation since then), giving customers half the time, effort, and manners they deserve and teaching others to do the same.

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  2 роки тому +1

      That's awesome. The brows can be washed 1-2x a day. I find that with the microblading strokes, however, washing once a day is better. The strokes can be super fickle and washing them with soap and water too much can cause those strokes to dry out and therefore the scabs may fall off sooner then desired. The goal is to have those scabs stay on as long as possible for best retention. But it sounds like you are doing the right thing. 💯 I do have a video on the aftercare I recommend for my clients if youre interested in watching. ➡️ua-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/v-deo.html

    SO GLAD I found this video!! I should have done more research beforehand, but at least now Im better informed going forward in case I need to get mine redone. I got my eyebrows microshaded 9 days ago and I just wish I got more detailed aftercare instruction. My instructions were not to wash the brows for 3-4 days, then use the provided ointment and lightly cleanse them. I likely made the mistake of gently pat cleansing them with a damp towel rather than actually washing them with soap. All of the scabbing is gone at this point and there was no sign of any type of infection(the scabbing held a lot color though), but my brows look like almost as if I had nothing done to them. One of them looks thin and nearly the same as it did before I got this done, and the other took the color and shape a bit better but I see no hairstrokes. Maybe I am prematurely freaking out as I know the color should push back through but if it doesn't change, is this something that can be fixed during the touch up?? Of course I'll definitely be washing them much more thoroughly. Thank you for your response in advance 😊

    I just got mine done and I’m 3 days in. The lady that did mine told me to clean mine and use the ointment like you said with the wet healing. My brows feel good and actually don’t feel dry. Besides I think cleaning is good to get any oils away because I have combination skin. Sometimes oily and sometimes very dry. I watched your other video about using an antibacterial cleaner and I use the neutrogena and I just use my fingertips like you used and it’s working great for me. 👍🏽

    I’m so confused. My artist advised me not to get brows wet at all. If I am washing brows then doesn’t that mean they will be wet??? Please explain! I’m so confused still!!!!

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  2 роки тому

      I can see why its confusing. There are different healing methods. That's what this video is going over; wet vs. dry healing. Wet healing just means using a product to aid in the healing process. However, if one is using a product to aid in healing, its imperative to cleanse (very gently) the brows at least once a day so there is no build up of product and the skin can still breathe. So your artist was right in saying, "don't get them wet". You do NOT want to submerge the eyebrows in water. (ie: go swimming, avoid drowning the brows in water while showering, etc.) I do wish that I used the word "submerge in water" instead of "getting wet" bc I think it would've been a little less confusing. Here is my video on the aftercare I recommend for my clients. ➡️ua-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/v-deo.html

    Thank you so much for this! I just got my eyebrows microbladed 3 days ago. My instructions were to use a "Power Repair" ointment/gel I was given 3 times a day for 5 days. "Gently remove the gel with a Qtips & re-apply a very small amount. No soap or water". Today I started noticing more puffy redness in and just above one of my brows, some very slight blisters appearing and a burning sensation. That's what made me research this more & found your video. After watching I immediately used an antibacterial foam soap and gently washed my brows. I felt an instant relief. I did not reapply the gel. As I have a very sensitive skin and some rosacea, my skin usually barely tolerates any products on it without getting red puffy and itchy. The chin, nose cheeks and the "eyebrows" area are the most sensitive to that. Silly of me to not have thought of that before. But, for that reason, a dry healing method might be best for me. I did not think about that earlier and thought what was going on might be a complication of the procedure. But now I think it was just my skin reacting to the gel. It's only been an hour now but everything looks and feels so much better. I might still use the gel in the next few days to protect my brows when I go out but I will make sure to wash it off each time. And if the reactions come back, I will immediately stop applying it for good and just use a 100% dry method. Thanks again! P.S. I don't see the final result yet as it has only been 3 days but other than what I have stated above, I'm happy so far with my new brows and have no regrets.

    Thank you so much for making this video! I've had poor microblading results despite going to different artists and receiving completely opposite after care instructions and after watching this video I now understand both instructions were completely wrong because neither included cleaning the brows, the first time I was told to apply a thin layer of coconut oil constantly throughout the day so the area doesn't get dry, the second time I was told to keep the area completely dry, do not wash, do not wet. I am attempting my third microblading experience on Saturday and I am keeping my fingers crossed that following the advice from this video helps me achieve lasting pigment retention :) Ironically I have also just completed a microblading certification course and the instructions they gave me was also missing cleaning the brows! Their advise was to use either coconut oil, grapeseed oil, or vaseline 1-2 times per day without any mention of cleansing.

    • @bossbrowsla

      I don't understand why there are so many different "methods" of aftercare. yes, there are options and whatever you find works best for you, you should do. however, it seems like common sense right? like its a wound and it should be treated like one. its most likely people's inability to fully understand the skin anatomy. I am a licensed esthetician and both my father and brother are doctors so I guess that helped with my understanding of aftercare. I'[m glad this video helped. I would definitely check out my online course. it will absolutely help with achieving better pigment retention. Retention has more to do with technique than aftercare (not dismissing the aftercare just underlining the importance of stretch, pressure, angle of blade, etc). Let me know how your microblading procedure goes on Saturday... oh yeah and don't say "attempting microblading".... THINK POSITIVE! I'm sure you're going to crush it! just remember to work slow. slow and steady wins the race! if you're interested in my online course I offer payment plans. It goes over everything (including how to do combo brows and ombre- manually.) You will also get tons of hands on assignments to do at home to help you improve your Microblading and build confidence in your craft. the assignments get turned into me and I go over everything and return with tons of notes with my edits, tips and tricks to become an even better artist! here's the link if you're interested 👉🏼 trainlikeaboss.teachable.com

    My artist has always recommended wet healing with cleansing, as you do. I’ve been to her numerous times within the past two years because I have one area in the front of my right eyebrow that never seems to hold pigment like the rest of my brows, and they always fade pretty quickly. I’m now in the healing process again for the fourth time (not including touch ups) that I’ve gone to her. We’re trying dry healing this time and it looks like color may be holding in the spot it usually doesn’t, but is fading in another spot on the same eyebrow and it’s making me nervous. Fingers crossed it’s just a scab causing it to look that way. I do my aftercare and I don’t go out into the sun or sweat, etc. I will say we did try a darker shade this time so hopefully when it fades it won’t be as drastic (I have dark hair and my brows are light lol) Would you have any advice for this situation? Am I just never going to be able to have good results?

    Hi! Love your video thank you. I’m in a. Crisis where I did dry healing first time and then for touch up - for nano brows - they turned black and scabbed off and were grey strokes underneath. So I healed black/Grey meanwhile I have auburn/brown hair and my eyebrows matched. My strokes were very crisp though and healed well. I went back a third time 7 weeks later for her to fix the colour. She went over it and I left very happy they were lighter again. But this time she told me to clean with water on a cotton pad morning and night, and at night to apply vaseline. My eyebrows started to get darker slower, and retain colour longer. But it was very hard to wash the vaseline off in the morning with water and a cotton pad like she said. I also read you shouldn’t use vaseline so I’m confused? This is supposed to be the number one place in Toronto. I’m 2 weeks in, I stopped using vaseline since she said do it for 14 days - and it only now started drying up and flaking starting. But now they turned black in one day at day 15. Now I’m very afraid they’ll stay black/grey again :( it seems like all the new coloured pigment she put on last time is completely gone! Black looks so bad on me and when I reached out to ask her what should I do she yelled at me on the phone and sent me a long email saying she never saw what was wrong with my wywbrows in the first place (THEYRE BLACK!! I’m so fair skinned with medium to light reddish brown hair!!!!) and said she will no longer work on me because I “don’t appreciate her work”!! All I did was ask a question to make sure I healed properly! So now I don’t know what to do :( she won’t answer me and do you have any idea why this is happening or what I should do? (I have oily/combo skin but my eyebrows feel dry the more I wash them)
    I’m just so sad and now I’d I go to someone else I have to pay full price again instead of a touch up price to fix it. I’m beyond shocked at how these people treated me. Everytime they speak to me I felt manipulated.
    Thank you for your video and kindness

      Good question. What did your microblading artist say? I would always check with him/her first. But in most cases less “product” such as aquafore is better. Too much of anything with clog the skin and prevent it from being able to breath. The skin needs oxygen in order to heal itself. I use wet method healing with cream only and I never had a complaint. My sister did her eyebrows somewhere else and was taught to apply cream over them only when she will feel them dry after a few days... and her brows fell down... thing that never happened to me.

    • @bossbrowsla

      that's awesome. the only thing I would be careful of is putting cream on and not washing them at least once a day. It may not happen very often but if the brows aren't kept clean while using a cream or serum, there's a chance of a "buildup" of product which means the brows can't breathe and that's how an infection happens.

      I would follow your artist's instructions and try to not pay so much attention to them. The brows go through a lot of ups and downs in the first 10-14 days and its all perfectly NORMAL. everyone heals a little differently... some get great healing and some don't get the best retention. Once you are completely healed you can talk to your artist about your concerns and they will (or should be) addressed at the touch up 🤗

    I feel all of those aftercare institutions like “do not sweat, do not take hot showers, do not do this or that or do not get the brows wet” are just to look for excuses why the pigment did not take. I see clearly on second day which strokes took the pigment which once will pill off. It is always the artist not the healing process. If they did not get the pigment deep enough it will not stay even if you stop moving for 2 weeks 😱😂

      Technique has a lot to do with pigment retention. But so does after care (believe it or not…) I would just recommend seeing someone who has plenty of experience when you want to get microblding done. 👌🏻

      You’re not supposed to do any of that after a tattoo as well.

    The place where I got the ombre told me to use Vaseline every 3-4 hours . I’m on day 3 and it starting to lift and fall off . The skin feels healthy though .

    Hi. I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. I am a nurse and typically when I clean a wound, I use sterile saline only and a clean sterile gauze with each swipe, would you recommend this for cleaning? Also, why is it important to completely get all the numbing off before Microblading? Thank you so much!

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  4 роки тому

      that's a great way to clean. I just really like the green soap but your way is great too! it's going to be hard to hold the skin taught if you still have the cream on their skin so make sure to wipe it all off.

    I just got mine done yesterday and was told to not get them wet for 2 weeks. Right now I am just applying the ointment they gave me once a day. Should I be cleaning the area already or go with what they said? I’m a confused

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  3 роки тому +1

      There is different healing methods. Personally, I have my clients wash them once a day (very gently with fingertips) while they’re using the serum. This way there is no buildup of product on the brows. It’s important that the brows can breath. They need oxygen to heal. BUT... I’m not your artist and don’t want to cause any confusion. So I would always do what your artist says. You chose her/him for a reason 🤗😉

      @@bossbrowsla I clean them on the day of and the next day with a cotton bud a the tiniest bit of distilled water. After that I leave them alone for about 7 days and find that my brows last a very long time. I also have oily skin. I just make sure no makeup or sunscreen touches that area and I keep my workouts mild to avoid excess sweating.

    What would you recommend for microshading healing?

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  3 роки тому +2

      I would recommend the same aftercare. It's still an injury to the skin (permanent makeup/tattoo) and it needs oxygen to heal. therefore, gently rinsing the brows with soap and water 1-2x/day and applying the aftercare serum 2-3 times a day (never over apply). hopefully that helped.

    I got ombre powderbrows on Thursday and on Saturday when I woke up, for a minute I forget I had them done haha. So I jumped into the shower and I was like NOOO they recommended to keep them dry and avoid, water, sweat etc. Now I'm a bit worried, but I hope the results will turn out okay. The skin already feels a bit patchy. I do not touch them now. We will see :-(

      @bossbrowsla  4 роки тому

      i'm not sure if thats a typo "og"... but i do have a video on how i do wet healing. obviously its not the ONLY way to do wet healing. There are a lot of different products out there and different opinions on how to properly do wet (or dry) healing. However this is how i recommend to do wet healing. i've had great success with it. 👉🏼 ua-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/v-deo.html

  • @gandangpinay2158

    My artist said avoid my brows from getting wet 7-10 days, well i had tattooes, and microblading is the same so i guess the aftercare i had for my tattoes i'll do the same on my brows. Cause if i will keep putting ointment or cream on my brows without washing 'em i got scared that thick scab will build up.

    • @bossbrowsla
      @bossbrowsla  4 роки тому

      exactly. if you put ointment on them without washing you actually run the risk of infection. bc the skin can't breath. but gently washing them and getting them "wet" (ie: swimming, etc) is different. I have a video on the aftercare I recommend. here is the link 👉🏼ua-cam.com/video/MYQgKlQvCb0/v-deo.html
