Can anybody explain me what do the zig-zag traffic lines painted onto the road stand for? I haven't seen these lines anywhere before. Initially, it seemed to me a warning that the lane gets narrowing but after watching carefully a lot of these videos that seems not to be the case.
Used to take this all the way to uni after getting off the train from Birmingham to Marylebone bc of the housing crisis and rental crisis. Hopefully it'll decrease and soon have a deposit on a house in London! Great videos so relaxing to watch.

They mark the pedestrian crossings. Parking there is forbidden to keep the unobstructed view for both the pedestrians and drivers
