Thank you Garry for calling out the systematic Chinese doping. He saw it beginning, he has seen it continue and is knows nothing has chnaged. Outrageous.

Ryan Lochte - intravenous injections on display. Michael Phelps - took the drug "gabapentin". also, Phelps has a diagnosis of "distracted attention hyperactivity disorder" , which was given to him in childhood. US women's team swimmer Amy Van Dyken has been associated with the BALCO Laboratory and has won six (6) gold medals at two Olympic Games, Atlanta and Sydney. including four gold medals in relay races.

Gabapentin has some side effects. Ritalin Adderal, and other amphetamine relatives - all classified as Monoamines or stimulants are ONLY banned in competitions.
The most recent PED craze is highly controlled/blood-monitored use of CO, which induces important cellular, hematopoietic and O2 changes, now brining you Grand Tour bicycle dominator, as well as very likely surreptitious usage in swim sports.
hGH, so prevalent in the 1990s , along with ANY PED used in training, allows later persistent physiological improvement, though you may NEED someone else's liver by age 60+-70s before you die earlier than normal.
Some discriminatory users of certain PEDs even in older ages for sport dominance, just like every individual anywhere, attribute their "winning" to all the usual synonyms, grit, courage, persistence, determination, anything listed in your bibles to describe saints, redeemers, ikons, and deities.
      But, not.

I think the US women's swimmers in the 1970s called out the beefy mustachioed East German Women swimmers. There were books written on the subject in the library.
In cycle racing, the injections and other ways to absorb PEDs were known to everyone, even though things like "vitamin B shots" were claimed as the enhancement.
You've SURELY seen the UVa swim articles on math, topology etc. which really did advance techniques, using video and drag evaluation.

Does he want to touch on the incredibly prevalent doping in American athletes that US authorities are constantly trying to cover up?

He did, it takes internal regulation to have fair sport, every country is for sure guilty to some extent!

Gary, he didn't ask who you would cheer for but the one that reminds you most of yourself and why. Maybe it would be the 6'6" guy with a quirky sense of humor, if he's out there?
