@@noahsan92 I feel that one of the reasons is when we are younger, we play and we use our imagination to take us to our own world, or we daydream an entire universe when we have free time. As we grow up and mature, our minds don't take us to fairy land anymore, though we may still have the creativity, we have a life to live and sometimes your life calls for you to let go of your creativity, there have been plenty of artists, and writers that are adults, not only is it because they have the ideas, but also because they are in a position to be able to pursue their dream, and they have studied and honed their craft. Art is a science in itself, after all.
Kane is so unbelievably level-headed and mature for his age. He speaks as if he’s an experienced adult in the film industry at only 17 years old. The Backrooms series as a whole is jaw dropping. Kudos to you, Kane.

I have a friend who makes beats and produced songs and beats (I believe he started at the age of 16 or 17) and his parents are chill and supportive of him compared to a typical Filipino household ❤️ My parents on the other hand are the Total opposite, I don't have the support that he has when it comes to my passion and dreams. Hopefully, everything still turns out well 🙏

Something people often forget about teenagers, and don't give them credit for, is their brightness and creativity. Their creativity isn't held back by industry conventions, shareholders or working parameters, and they know what people their age would actually enjoy. You can see Kane is very bright, intelligent, aware and creative and has a strong growth mindset instead of holding himself back. Props to him, can't wait to see more of his stuff in the future

As a 48 year old man, I want this lad to have full creative control. You have to recognise genius when it rears it’s head and have the fortitude to allow it to thrive. Let’s hope. His short video was utterly captivating and brilliantly made, I saw it a year ago and it still sits with me. Even my 16 year old son can’t believe I know about it as he’s played levels on steam when i mentioned they’re making a movie about it. He spun right out that this old fart loves it.
It's crazy that I found him when he was at around only 20k subscribers. He did VFX for the Dad channel and made his own spinoff of Town, USA and it was fantastic so proud of him!
I was so happy the way he rejected that. The "canon narrative" is such an autistic concept, as if some people have more of a right to tell a story than others.

What a genuine, smart, and level-headed young man. I really appreciate how he is handling his blow-up and he deserves the opportunities that have been set in front of him. I honestly do hope that, when Backrooms has run it's course as all things do, we will see many creative works of his for years to come. He's so well-spoken and thinks things through that it's hard to believe his age is what it is.
I'm so impressed by how he always manages to just drop short of risking coming across as pretentious, which given the viral popularity of his works at such a young age is such an important thing. He's incredibly well-spoken and talks about his work in the way you'd expect from any current, well-established filmmaker or director. I can easily imagine him becoming something like the next Ari Aster in the future.
He wants to be taken seriously and professionally for his creativity, He's smart enough to understand how he needs to present himself as a young man in a functionally adult world. Good kid.

As a child, i was plagued by nightmares of being alone in nondescript rooms and hallways. It was always silent not even the sound of my footsteps would be heard. Then, all of a sudden, a deafening roar would begin and I'd run only to wake up. I would always sneak under my parent's bed at night and sleep because it terrified me so bad. So when I first saw the backrooms it really captured me.

He’s so cool, I’m 16 and have so much ideas in my head that I never acted on because I don’t know where to start He definitely inspires me to stop being lazy and do something
Grab an empty notebook and get comfortable with sketching out quick things, map the core ideas out so you don't have to rely on memory. The writing part might take a few weeks but gathering the ideas took all the time until now.
Kane’s got an admirable level of maturity, focus, artistic awareness, and integrity. Most people in his position (not even accounting for his age) would crumble. From the business side to the creative side - he’s killing it. I’m rooting for his success and artistic journey wholeheartedly.

Although Kane Pixels isn't the actual creator of the backrooms (the actual creator is an anonymous 4chan user who posted the first ever picture and information about the backrooms on the internet) , he is deservingly up there in the backrooms and/or liminal spaces community because of his amazing work . not only did he make great backrooms videos , he also made those amazing AOT historical footage videos . Blows my mind . I hope the movie lives up to the name
That anonymous 4chan user isn't even the creator, it was something already talked about since 2004 due to the eerie feeling singleplayer gmod gave you. The concept of it being a scary place was more just a community creation due to the feelings of dread it would give you if you played by yourself too long
@@hediondo8764 im talking specifically about the level 0 of the backrooms itself , the one on the thumbnail . that one was created by the 4 chan user ,which gave way more popularity to the backrooms than ever before and which then played a role in the creation and popularization of more backrooms levels . yes you are right about the eerie feeling when playing a gmod game , it was not created by the 4chan user. its a feeling , and i know it was talked about long ago. so i know he wasnt the one who put the idea in everyones head . people already had a slight idea of it in their heads but not everyone looked at it the way the 4chan user looked at it, not everyone had the idea of it being endless or 6 million square miles long. so alot of the credit does go to the anonymous 4chan user
He also makes the music behind each Backrooms entry on his channel, I hope he does the soundtrack for the movie as well, A24 really found themselves a golden goose and I'm so happy for him
@patrickhamos2987 sure he didn't create the backrooms but he created the entire plot of his series using elements of the backrooms lore. i'm also guessing that you also don't get a job directing an A24 film as a teenager by being a dull, lazy person
Kanes Backrooms have influenced me as a 33 year old artist and that speaks VOLUMES. Ive loved this series from the beginning. In relation to the Backrooms no one comes close to Kane. He deserves all the success and recognition coming to him.
I love his take on what's cannon and what's not. I think it allows more room for creativity and reminds the public that all of this is art, not history.

Of all the people Kane could have as his first interviewer, this is probably the person who would have his back the most as a young creator reaching out for that first massive step outside the comfort zone. And Anthony seems like a genuine fan of his work.
As a current 17 year old I'm both mildly jealous of Kane and mildly in love with him. He's so talented and passionate about his work and it's honestly so endearing.
You know, if you have any creative spark in you, you can pick up blender, or a free DAW or your phone camera and start creating. No one gets good without creating.
@Patrick Hamos why are you so bitter? I don’t know how old you are but the likelihood of his parents knowing anything about blender, a relatively new animation software, is seriously low. So many kids have been able to start animating and making amazing creations because of how technologically has progressed. He’s not the first and he certainly won’t be the last.

There's always something to be admired about someone who, despite achieving massive success and praise, still stick to their guns and just create what they wants to create.
Yeah. He seems to be the only one who really gets it out of all backrooms creators. And it's not about the technical side of his work, there are many youtubers who have shown off their artistic skills but somehow I've never felt scared by any of their pieces. This is where Kane shines and he proved it again with found footage 3.
I’m around Kanes age, seeing him prosper in the exact thing I am looking to do is extremely inspiring, thank you Kane for being such an awesome person, creating an outlet for you to express your love for filmmaking and story telling is a HUGE goal of mine, and this gives me hope.

Doing well in school is still a solid insurance if your creative job doesn't pan out. Dan Salvato, the guy who made DDLC, Smallant, pointcrow and some other streamers all reached higher level education so that if their current career don't work out, they still have something to fall back on. Stay in school, unless you are really confident that you alone have something valuable that absolutely nobody else in the world has, which is likely untrue.
he is so well spoken and intelligent, you just KNOW he's a creative genius. i have quickly become a huge fan of kane's work as one does when coming across his projects. they're just so well directed and produced it is insane to think he did it all on his own and at this young age, he clearly has so much to give. i cannot wait to see what the future holds for him :) very well deserved movie opt, i'm excited to watch it as well as excited for everything else he might have in the works!
My favorite details from this video are that Kane started his vision from the Backrooms because he was essentially bored and needed something to do, and found inspiration in the Backrooms concept. And as that developed, he didn't let himself conform to genres, the opinions of others or how something is made, he just lets his mind roam free. Lastly, he finds passion in his work and not in the money or fame it brings. He just likes sharing his work. We need more creatives like this in the limelight, and I'm honestly inspired to go put out some work of my own, especially being the same age as Kane.

I'm glad he didn't cave to people complaining about the weird levels and monsters and stuff. His clean relatively underpopulated version is much more immersive and gives you a believable tension when watching that I think wouldn't be there if it was cluttered with all the weird additions of the pre-existing community version.
Kane is one of the most interesting content creators I’ve ever seen. I admittedly learned about him through his backrooms stuff, and I’m glad I did as it has introduced me to his channel! His series (backrooms and other), music, and passion to create is inspiring! With the way the backrooms series is executed, I’m actually excited to see Kane make this into a movie. What he says about “Youre doing the backrooms wrong!” is very true. Im pretty sure that its been recognized generally that there’s already different canons. Theres the Kane Pixels canon which is different than The Fandom Canon and or the Wikidot canon. The problem is that people think that he invented the backrooms, and that his canon is the original one when it isn’t. His canon is rly cool but I personally like the wikis more. But i understand that the general public would enjoy a video or something more visual that just text and theory. But if the original canons (fandom and wikidot) are made into something like this, it would definitely be amazing.
I was a fan of the Backrooms about a year before Kane’s first video, and I came across his first Backrooms video when it only had a few hundred thousand views, seeing how far he and this Creepypasta have come is really cool, especially considering the fact he’s only 2 years older than me

I watched The Oldest View - Beneath The Earth a few days ago when it came out and it's so cool that Kane can be working on a huge project like the backrooms movie and still be uploading interesting content to youtube.
i'm really happy to have discovered him at the beginnng of his attack on titan art phase, he already was so talented, and this isn't to brag AT ALL, i am just extremely happy for him and can't wait to see how things are gonna evolve for him, backrooms or not, he truly is a genuis and i hope he's gonna be remembered as one of the greats of his generation because i am sure he is
I love his astounding amounts of self-confidence. I don't necessarily think he's like super smart for his age (well aside from artistically, whre he's absolutely a genius), but he does have a level of self-confidence and self-understanding that I think don't tend to mix very well at his age. Like when I was 17, I probably had a similar caliber of a vocabulary, but I could not help but feel immature or childish with my thoughts. I was far less secure than I am in my 20s, and I think this is where Kane is really inspiring to me, because at the age of 17 he has already figured out his value. Truly a fascinating voice to listen to.
I think the main thing that stands out about him is his massive drive to create. So many people end up just consuming, or at least not making unique things, which i cant imagine ever doing. Just making things is an incredible feeling, its awesome hes managed to find success and its clear that hes very talented

i find him very relatable, ive always enjoyed the long process of creating and learning and eventually ending up with something finished for people to try out. So much that i enjoy it more than actually playing games alot of the time, and once I'm finished a project i gotta start a new one.

Great interview! One thing that stands out about his communication skills is that he hardly ever uses pauses such as “like”, “um”, “I mean”, “you know”… Very intelligent and focused.

This is a prime case for why copyright law needs to be loosened. When creative people get ahold of good material, amazing things are made. But too much good material is stuck lining corporate pockets, and thus no one is allowed to innovate upon it. Thankfully, no one tried to copyright the backrooms, but we need more fiction to be public domain.
He's going to be the Sam raimi of his generation but for a different subgenre of horror. Being so young like Sam and just going with all his available resources. Can't wait to see what his movie brings. Also, shout out to James Wan and the people behind A24 to support him and give him creative control.
This kid has a good outlook on creative projects that I’ve found recently in my favorite band (Sleep Token, please look them up). Just ignoring genres and labels and focusing purely on the craft of it. Existing in worlds and building on them and most importantly, just getting them out there 🙌🏻

Something people often forget about teenagers, and don't give them credit for, is their brightness and creativity. Their creativity isn't held back by industry conventions, shareholders or working parameters, and they know what people their age would actually enjoy. You can see Kane is very bright, intelligent, aware and creative and has a strong growth mindset instead of holding himself back. Props to him, can't wait to see more of his stuff in the future

His short video was utterly captivating and brilliantly made, I saw it a year ago and it still sits with me. Even my 16 year old son can’t believe I know about it as he’s played levels on steam when i mentioned they’re making a movie about it. He spun right out that this old fart loves it.

He's so well-spoken and thinks things through that it's hard to believe his age is what it is.
I'm so impressed by how he always manages to just drop short of risking coming across as pretentious, which given the viral popularity of his works at such a young age is such an important thing. He's incredibly well-spoken and talks about his work in the way you'd expect from any current, well-established filmmaker or director. I can easily imagine him becoming something like the next Ari Aster in the future.

As a child, i was plagued by nightmares of being alone in nondescript rooms and hallways. It was always silent not even the sound of my footsteps would be heard. Then, all of a sudden, a deafening roar would begin and I'd run only to wake up. I would always sneak under my parent's bed at night and sleep because it terrified me so bad. So when I first saw the backrooms it really captured me.
I hope the a24 movie goes well. The Backrooms is very appealing as an internet serial, I wonder if a film can keep the appeal

Grab an empty notebook and get comfortable with sketching out quick things, map the core ideas out so you don't have to rely on memory. The writing part might take a few weeks but gathering the ideas took all the time until now.
Just be patient. With patience, your ideas are more well fleshed out
But if you really want to create an idea, then write those ideas down and develop them into parts each day at any time you want.

Although Kane Pixels isn't the actual creator of the backrooms (the actual creator is an anonymous 4chan user who posted the first ever picture and information about the backrooms on the internet) , he is deservingly up there in the backrooms and/or liminal spaces community because of his amazing work . not only did he make great backrooms videos , he also made those amazing AOT historical footage videos . Blows my mind . I hope the movie lives up to the name
That anonymous 4chan user isn't even the creator, it was something already talked about since 2004 due to the eerie feeling singleplayer gmod gave you. The concept of it being a scary place was more just a community creation due to the feelings of dread it would give you if you played by yourself too long
@@hediondo8764 im talking specifically about the level 0 of the backrooms itself , the one on the thumbnail . that one was created by the 4 chan user ,which gave way more popularity to the backrooms than ever before and which then played a role in the creation and popularization of more backrooms levels . yes you are right about the eerie feeling when playing a gmod game , it was not created by the 4chan user. its a feeling , and i know it was talked about long ago. so i know he wasnt the one who put the idea in everyones head . people already had a slight idea of it in their heads but not everyone looked at it the way the 4chan user looked at it, not everyone had the idea of it being endless or 6 million square miles long. so alot of the credit does go to the anonymous 4chan user

Kanes Backrooms have influenced me as a 33 year old artist and that speaks VOLUMES. Ive loved this series from the beginning. In relation to the Backrooms no one comes close to Kane. He deserves all the success and recognition coming to him.
I love his take on what's cannon and what's not. I think it allows more room for creativity and reminds the public that all of this is art, not history.

Of all the people Kane could have as his first interviewer, this is probably the person who would have his back the most as a young creator reaching out for that first massive step outside the comfort zone.
And Anthony seems like a genuine fan of his work.
As a current 17 year old I'm both mildly jealous of Kane and mildly in love with him. He's so talented and passionate about his work and it's honestly so endearing.
You know, if you have any creative spark in you, you can pick up blender, or a free DAW or your phone camera and start creating. No one gets good without creating.

And it's not about the technical side of his work, there are many youtubers who have shown off their artistic skills but somehow I've never felt scared by any of their pieces. Doing well in school is still a solid insurance if your creative job doesn't pan out. Dan Salvato, the guy who made DDLC, Smallant, pointcrow and some other streamers all reached higher level education so that if their current career don't work out, they still have something to fall back on.
Stay in school, unless you are really confident that you alone have something valuable that absolutely nobody else in the world has, which is likely untrue.
he is so well spoken and intelligent, you just KNOW he's a creative genius. i have quickly become a huge fan of kane's work as one does when coming across his projects. they're just so well directed and produced it is insane to think he did it all on his own and at this young age, he clearly has so much to give. i cannot wait to see what the future holds for him :) very well deserved movie opt, i'm excited to watch it as well as excited for everything else he might have in the works!
My favorite details from this video are that Kane started his vision from the Backrooms because he was essentially bored and needed something to do, and found inspiration in the Backrooms concept. And as that developed, he didn't let himself conform to genres, the opinions of others or how something is made, he just lets his mind roam free. Lastly, he finds passion in his work and not in the money or fame it brings. He just likes sharing his work. We need more creatives like this in the limelight, and I'm honestly inspired to go put out some work of my own, especially being the same age as Kane.

I'm glad he didn't cave to people complaining about the weird levels and monsters and stuff. His clean relatively underpopulated version is much more immersive and gives you a believable tension when watching that I think wouldn't be there if it was cluttered with all the weird additions of the pre-existing community version.

Im pretty sure that its been recognized generally that there’s already different canons. Theres the Kane Pixels canon which is different than The Fandom Canon and or the Wikidot canon.
The problem is that people think that he invented the backrooms, and that his canon is the original one when it isn’t.
His canon is rly cool but I personally like the wikis more. But i understand that the general public would enjoy a video or something more visual that just text and theory. But if the original canons (fandom and wikidot) are made into something like this, it would definitely be amazing.

I watched The Oldest View - Beneath The Earth a few days ago when it came out and it's so cool that Kane can be working on a huge project like the backrooms movie and still be uploading interesting content to youtube.
i'm really happy to have discovered him at the beginnng of his attack on titan art phase, he already was so talented, and this isn't to brag AT ALL, i am just extremely happy for him and can't wait to see how things are gonna evolve for him, backrooms or not, he truly is a genuis and i hope he's gonna be remembered as one of the greats of his generation because i am sure he is
I love his astounding amounts of self-confidence. I don't necessarily think he's like super smart for his age (well aside from artistically, whre he's absolutely a genius), but he does have a level of self-confidence and self-understanding that I think don't tend to mix very well at his age.
Like when I was 17, I probably had a similar caliber of a vocabulary, but I could not help but feel immature or childish with my thoughts. I was far less secure than I am in my 20s, and I think this is where Kane is really inspiring to me, because at the age of 17 he has already figured out his value. Truly a fascinating voice to listen to.
I think the main thing that stands out about him is his massive drive to create. So many people end up just consuming, or at least not making unique things, which i cant imagine ever doing. Just making things is an incredible feeling, its awesome hes managed to find success and its clear that hes very talented
I think most people are driven to create, but most people don't have wealthy supportive parents who foster their creativity.

This is a prime case for why copyright law needs to be loosened. When creative people get ahold of good material, amazing things are made. But too much good material is stuck lining corporate pockets, and thus no one is allowed to innovate upon it. Thankfully, no one tried to copyright the backrooms, but we need more fiction to be public domain.
