Yep. My first meeting with my cat Spitfire, it was an instant connection. I walked into the door, the owners talking about the story behind momma, and this little black kitten just walks up to me, immediately climbs up my leg, and straight onto my chest where I held him.
Same, my dog is a bit sketchy around strangers. She usually barks at them at first if they get close and then won't let them pet her until she gets to know them. When my buddy brought her over so I could meet her for the first time, she didn't bark at me and I walked her for a bit. She was still anxious for a couple of days when I adopted her, just keeping to herself, but on the 3rd day she broke down that barrier with a storm of affection.
@@CrizzyEyes I suspect in my case, Spitfire noticed something was wrong with me at the time. I lost my previous cat about ten days prior, and spent the entire time completely non-functional until my parents insisted on taking me out to see the kittens. I was not in a good place at the time, so him coming up to me like that was... enough, for me.
The way Biboo describes John Car, he’s literally just Biboo but in smol cat form. They’re so perfect for each other 💜 I can’t wait to hear more about them together
