Andres Hernandez honestly every boss has personally. I mean look at Scorpion boss fight, that thing jumps around on cellings and spinning while shooting missiles. Pretty bad ass if you ask me.
Hell house changed me, did things to me no one has ever done, made me say things I never thought possible, the mental abuse I received in my battles against hell house is unexplainable, there were times where I just wanted to go into a corner and cry and accept the fact that I could never defeat hell house, but ego got in the way and after doing some research and applying what I learned with some trial and error I was finally able to slay that damn diabolical house, it was finally over and my peace of my mind was restored back to it's natural state.
I am still working on this POS boss, I have tried 5x now and the closest I came to beating him was my 4th attempt, I had him at around 700 life and he kept putting on God House then flying around the coliseum shooting down flaming chairs at me. I looked into my inventory 0 Ethers, 0 Phoenix Downs, 0 Hi Potions and my MP was around 6 for Cloud and 12 for Aerith. I really hate this SOB, then I died. I am going to try again today. This thing is so mind numbing frustrating.
Beat it first try on normal, i dunno just use aeris magic ward and dual cast whatever element and try to make sure God mode doesn't pop up just as you cast the magic. Also run and shoot from far with Aeries ALOT to fill up her gauge for her pray ability. Keep full over 1.5k HP as much as possible.
Street Halo patience is key. Using assess at the beginning and checking its weaknesses is important. I equiped cloud/aerith with 2 element materia each, prayer on aerith and cure on cloud. When it does god mode you have to just avoid the attacks the best you can while trying to build atb (much easier for aerith) and then attack with its weakness quickly when you have the opportunity. Using aerith’s arcane ward is very useful but he ran me out of the area sometimes. I think the fight took me 20-30 mins and I used 3 ethers and 1 pheonix down. I found the dodge action to be pretty useful in dodging many of his attacks.

It fit so well in the narrative. This boss was made by Corneo's man to fight in the colisseum, it means that his design being ridiculous HAS a purpose, it was made to entertain in a colisseum, made specifically to entertain the viewers. His design makes perfect sense. This was a great idea of how to include this enemy in a game with a more serious tone.
this is probably the most effed up monster in the game. imagine being homeless in the slums of midgar and you stumble upon an empty good looking house. you go through the door and you get eaten.
Weird as this thing is, it actually IS possible to justify it in universe. I imagine a robot/cyborg kind of thing, created by Shinra during the Wutai war, as a sneak-attack weapon: Disguises itself as a ordinary house, lets unsuspecting Wutai soldiers pass it by, then attacks from behind.
daniel Kept thinking I was bad. Like how the fuck am I suppose to generate bars for Cloud when almost every time I swing it bounces of him then he jumps or eats me.

A year later and I still can't quite believe this was in the game. On the other hand it makes perfect sense-The original FF7 also reveled in its unexplained weirdness. The amount of, mega potions, high potions, elixirs, and phoenix downs I had to spam for this fight was unreal. Went from being a normal enemy in the original game to Dark Souls in the remake.
Did this fight, died twice, tried a third time then paused half way through to go to lunch, came back and won. The power of meatball sub will always conquer all
This fight was pretty impressive. The whole chapter when Cloud and Aerith get to this part of Midgard was, indeed. But this fight and the live commentary are something else. I genuinely had fun fighting this thing. It's one of those bosses you never forget how you felt while fighting it.
I was almost considering lowering the difficulty because of this boss, but after 4 tries I barely manage to beat it..... I had to save and take a break after this!!!
After trying for 2 days, I finally killed that house without using even one potion or phoenix down or without going into low health :) It's so satisfying :')
🎵Cloud Strife wears his SOLDIER best; Aerith's wounded, needs to heal, the Bees are watching from upstairs. Tifa's sighing in her sleep (ah...) Corneo's got a bride to see, he can't hang around. Hellhouse, in the gladiator meet Hellhouse, in the gladiator....🎵
Really aggravating when you don't get it, but once you pick up on the rhythm of what you need to do it's quite an interesting boss. Like a puzzle you have to unpack 😂
This boss fight was legitmately the most fun I've ever had fighting a boss. God, it was so annoying, but it really kept me on my feet and thinking for a ridiculous, annoying fucking abomination. Not to mention the _music,_ man. This thing was both a nightmare and a pleasure.
I'm still only about halfway through the Remake - in fact, this was the last major milestone I reached. But I think the Corneo Colosseum as a whole (& the Hell House in particular) is the point where I went from "this game is pretty great" to "this game is fucking AWESOME".
i just fought this thing at lvl 19 aeris and 20 with cloud. boss gets tough once it puts up barrier. it took limit breaks and a few ethers too keep the team alive but i beat it.
Just beaten it too and I gotta say, holy shit that fight was some ridiculous bullshit. I burned through almost all my ethers and phoenix downs, as well as all my elixirs. And it took forever.
tiotito31 the chaos is what makes it fun! Yeah this fight was a bitch, but when you finish you feel great. Agree with OP the combat in this game is amazing
tiotito31 honestly the boss fights aren’t that bad aside from this one (I’m on chapter 13 so I can’t say for the rest of the game lol). The only times I’ve died were to a random side quest or some random enemy encounters that paralyze you constantly. I wonder how this fight will be on hard mode .. scary thinking about it
I absolutely love the way they remade the battle music into different variations. This one is probably my favorite. At the 4:43 mark, I just get the sense that the battle is tough, but also GLORIOUS.
they did not fuck around with any of the bosses in this game. i truly felt like i was playing an old school rpg with a new age games design. Unforgiving and does not give a fuck how many times you loose.
How many chapters are they gonna do for ffvii? Cuz if they are making the first this awesome for the first city, i have no idea what they will do next.
I'm happy I read a guide on fighting the house on hard mode because I think I would have legitimately for the first time in my life rage-quit and threw the controller on the floor. The boss actively has three phases and in the third phase, it sends out a cutter and a sweeper if you don't destroy it by the end of its first attack (it will drop put of the sky and swipe across the field. It's nearly impossible to dodge and will one-shot your characters). I read a quick guide that informed me of the cutter and sweeper so I was already somewhat prepared for them, but had I been playing and got that far and they suddenly showed up...I'm scared for my electronics for that alternate timeline of events 😂.
As one can imagine, fighting & defeating the ‘Hell House’ on hard mode is… well, it’s hard. Between saving your magic & using it at the right time when HH changes tactics, keeping track of your HP is taxing along with wisely using ATB. The whole battle becomes a matter of survival, and it’s made worse when ‘Cutter & Sweepy’ ambush you later during the battle. I almost didn’t survive the battle when I fought HH on hard mode.
Out of all the fights in this game, I never expected to get my ass handed to me by a fucking house.... out of all things!!! I get my ass beaten by a damn house!!!!
Somehow I beat this boss first try. But it took everything I had. And I mean EVERYTHING if Aerith wasn't so great at healing, it would probably take me multiple times and hours. By the time it was finally over I had both Cloud and Aerith's MP drained, all health items gone, about two phoinex downs, and had used items from poison to grenades. I just finished the game Friday but this boss stands out for me. Even though it was so tough I had to laugh at just the absurdity of it, and it was fun to go all out. This is such a great game man. Had a blast.
FFVII Remake has some of the best fights in any FF game in my opinion. Rarely do I come across a game that presents a genuine challenge without making me want to pull my hair out at the same time. Boss battles in this game are exhilarating, and beating each one is immensely satisfying.
I was getting massacred by this thing. I killed it without any elemental magic. My dad was giving me that “1000 yard stare” like “what’s wrong with you?! Are you okay in the head?!” Had to apologize to the family for all the shouting and cussing I was doing. I just can’t wait for this fight on hard mode.
I came here to see if I took awhile with the fight but wow it seems everybody else had a much more difficult and longer time than I did makes me feel a lot better
It‘s pretty easy once you know how to use it‘s weaknesses against it. Watch it‘s side-windows and counter with the opposite elements. Secondly: Evade the books and all other attacks. This way it will be down pretty fast.
There is no evade in the attack he electrifies you only to guard and it still does dmg plus if you don't time the flying turbo attack right literally melts your hp, so dumb but challenging and fun
this used to be a regular common enemy you could find at the beginning of the game, it always was a weird enemy for me so i am happy to see what it looks like in hd

The amount of, mega potions, high potions, elixirs, and phoenix downs I had to spam for this fight was unreal. Went from being a normal enemy in the original game to Dark Souls in the remake.
This fight took me 50 minutes bro.... I’m not lying, this is the most longest fight that I ever had in a video game
Then you are gonna *D E S P I S E* Yiazmat in FF12
How? How often do you play games then?

The best feeling in the world
I honestly loved every moment of this boss, and being on your toes constantly is half the fun. ❤ No fun if it were easy!
Fighting them is so memorable, it's almost hard to concentrate and not laugh the entire time 😄
Did this fight, died twice, tried a third time then paused half way through to go to lunch, came back and won. The power of meatball sub will always conquer all
My wife saw me playing this part and she said: wtf is going on there
This was a challenging, but fun boss fight. The atmosphere and soundtrack made it more fun
It reminds me of the robots from Nier Automata.
So if Hell House and Swordipede (Sword Dance) are bosses now. I have a feeling that the Ghost Ship will be a boss now.
This entire segment was amazing!
This fight was pretty impressive. The whole chapter when Cloud and Aerith get to this part of Midgard was, indeed. But this fight and the live commentary are something else. I genuinely had fun fighting this thing. It's one of those bosses you never forget how you felt while fighting it.
The boss that made normal players lower the difficulty in the settings.
I was almost considering lowering the difficulty because of this boss, but after 4 tries I barely manage to beat it..... I had to save and take a break after this!!!
@@Broke_Guy_78 or you just didn't know what you were doing, i figured out his gimmick after accidentally casting fire on fire mode
After trying for 2 days, I finally killed that house without using even one potion or phoenix down or without going into low health :) It's so satisfying :')
I hate this boss fight so much. I was on the verge of tears when I finally beat it.
The most satisfying win after defeating this boss in the game
the most awkward high five in the world.. god bless these dorks
🎵Cloud Strife wears his SOLDIER best;
Aerith's wounded, needs to heal,
the Bees are watching from upstairs.
Tifa's sighing in her sleep (ah...)
Corneo's got a bride to see, he can't hang around.
Hellhouse, in the gladiator meet
Hellhouse, in the gladiator....🎵
.......this thing was a common enemy in the original........im still weirded out from this design and practicality
This whole fight was bat shit insane, and I loved every moment!
Oh thank god I thought only I took this long
This fight taught me the importance of assess and having every type of magic at your disposal.
Unfortunately, I only realize this after the battle.
This is my favorite boss battle in the whole game! The music is perfect👌🏻
This is just Tom Nook reminding you to check in on your town and pay your mortgage
I would check up every so often if my mom wasn’t HOGGING MY SWITCH
Really aggravating when you don't get it, but once you pick up on the rhythm of what you need to do it's quite an interesting boss. Like a puzzle you have to unpack 😂
fuck no. fuck the hellhouse.
This is a puzzle for babies. It’s not hard.
This boss fight was legitmately the most fun I've ever had fighting a boss. God, it was so annoying, but it really kept me on my feet and thinking for a ridiculous, annoying fucking abomination. Not to mention the _music,_ man. This thing was both a nightmare and a pleasure.
Yeah it was epic as hell, unlike the final boss this one actually required a lot of thinking
Never in my life have i felt so good as now, knowing that i beat the hell house first try without getting anyone K.O'D
Seeing the upgrade a regular Hell House has gained in this remake, My brain trembles at the horror of what Emerald weapon is gonna be beefed into...
I've JUST beaten this boss, and it was my favourite fight so far. :D I love the combat in this game.
Just beaten it too and I gotta say, holy shit that fight was some ridiculous bullshit.
I burned through almost all my ethers and phoenix downs, as well as all my elixirs. And it took forever.
HOW? I mean every fight I get into I almost always die. And I'm not even spamming attack anymore. I think the fighting gets too chaotic at times.
tiotito31 the chaos is what makes it fun! Yeah this fight was a bitch, but when you finish you feel great. Agree with OP the combat in this game is amazing
Grant's Voice On Games it really was a fun fight . Ppl need to *git gud*
tiotito31 honestly the boss fights aren’t that bad aside from this one (I’m on chapter 13 so I can’t say for the rest of the game lol). The only times I’ve died were to a random side quest or some random enemy encounters that paralyze you constantly. I wonder how this fight will be on hard mode .. scary thinking about it
The remake is so fun! Thank you Square! Thank you!!
This fight was brutal. Took me about 40 minutes and so many potions and ethers. Hell of a fight
This fight is so epic it makes me wanna cry. I swear I was so proud of myself when I finally figured out how to defeat it
How many chapters are they gonna do for ffvii? Cuz if they are making the first this awesome for the first city, i have no idea what they will do next.
Remember everyone. Assess is your best friend.
Not in hard mode though
In my opinion this is the hardest boss fight ever next to godfrey first elden lord. This damn house bro
You telling me
Ok reading the comments makes me feel better. I thought I just sucked but I guess everyone had a hard time fighting it.
Are you okay in the head?!”
Had to apologize to the family for all the shouting and cussing I was doing.
What about when the windows are white in the god house mode?
There is no evade in the attack he electrifies you only to guard and it still does dmg plus if you don't time the flying turbo attack right literally melts your hp, so dumb but challenging and fun
Yep, over 20 years later, this is still one of the weirdest bosses in gaming.
the final boss in plague tale was def weirder tho this was harder
True dat. Also one of the hardest..
Man this fight was tough but it was alot of fun when i learned his weaknesses and the commentatators made it even better what an awesome fight
this used to be a regular common enemy you could find at the beginning of the game, it always was a weird enemy for me so i am happy to see what it looks like in hd
I don't really know what I was expecting when I first played this fight but I can say I am not disappointed.
I really love the small chorus at Victory theme.
