I watched her show at Yoshi's in Jack London square in Oakland ca. this last November 2023,..She and her touring band didn't disappoint my friends that also came with me to that one hour show. She closed with an encore performance of an all time greatest hit song with her cover of "Creep" from 90's band Radiohead. And that encore left my friends with their mouths wide open. As they got more that their moneys worth that night ,Hailey doesn't disappoint her audience one bit.
Any artist that goes with doing things their way, not with the major records label, not selling their soul to big corps and whatnot will have my vote... Haley Reinhart? Say no more... if she coming to Asia one day, i'll the first in line to see her! Love her so much!
It would be very possible Haley is doing better financially than 90% of the Top 5 from all seasons. There is a lot of "side-work" to running a career without a large record label to do chores, but Haley sure seems to be doing it right. In fact, she was so enthused about pursuing her long-time childhood dream that she even became a contestant on American Idol to pursue her dream.
Then after the release of Haley's second album "Better", in which her now double platinum selling hit record, "Can't Help Falling in Love" tune became a worldwide sensation on Spotify, suddenly all the big major record labels began trying to sign Haley to a record deal.
As Haley's publishing company, Ole, now Anthem Entertainment, financed Haley's "Better" album for her as an effort to get Haley a deal with a big major record label and in which Haley, at the time, was super thrilled and enthused about.
As Ole flew Haley to New York City and then to Nashville to meet with record label executives. At the same time that Ole was also posting tweets to the effect that Haley was soon going to become a big major music star.
Then Haley, who was super enthused about the situation at the time began negotiating with all the big major record labels.
However, in stark contrast to what all other signed music artists have done to get their own respective record deals, Haley, in stark contrast to everyone else, tried to negotiate her own record deal without hiring a professional business manager with tons of background and experience in the music industry.
Thus, Haley being a professional vocalist, as opposed to a professional business manager with years of experience in the music industry, didn't have the first freaking clue what she was doing and therefore, the inevitable result is she became too overwhelmed, too scared, too frightened to sign a record deal.
Which is a very predictable outcome since Haley didn't have a full understanding of all the intricacies involved when negotiating a record deal.
Thus ever since then, Haley has been short changing her career and future by remaining an independent music artist, even though she still dreams of one day being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Yeah, you are right about that. Haley is in total control all right. She can write, release, and perform any kind of music she wants.
However, what difference does it make since barely anyone ever hear's her music anyway today since her music isn't played on the radio, while at the same time, Haley can't perform any of it on network TV? As barely anyone hear's Haley's own music. What a waste!
In fact, the vast overwhelming majority of music listeners in America have never ever heard her name much less even know who the frick she is. As to them, she is Haley who?
Not only that, but when Haley ages in the not too distant future, her career in the independent music industry will be all but over and she will then have to go out and get a job like every other stiff in America.
However, I bet you are happy that Haley didn't sell her soul to the record labels and as if that was actually possible. As signing a record deal is a lot like going to work, in that everyone has to make life compromises.
Sure, Haley isn't making any life compromises but at the same time, she is making peanuts compared to what she should be making. Nonetheless, that's also a compromise and a very piss poor one at that.

You know, everybody's biggest fear about signing a record deal with the record labels is they will end up losing their deal and at the same time, they will owe the record labels money. Well people who have that fear don't have enough confidence in themselves and thus, they are probably right.
However, Haley doesn't need the record labels for funding. As she has all the money she needs already to fund her own career.
Thus, there are no risks for Haley involved whatsoever, should she elect to sign a record deal. Only stardom and millions of dollars waiting to be put in her bank account.
@@bullfrog5037 Nah, Taylor Swift has all the confidence in the world, and look what happened to her. The biggest fear for artists is not being in control of their own music and career path.
And while I can’t speak for Haley, I’m sure that between albums, videos, tours, collaborations, appearances, commercials and movies, she’s living very, very well. Sometimes too much can be exactly that, and the perils of mega stardom are not worth it in the long run.
