Very informative and well put together video!! Being from Minnesota I don’t know a whole lot about Manatees so this was very cool to watch. They seem so gentle and harmless
@@zcarp8642About 15 minutes for me. But you are correct. People have no idea what we have. Theme parks and the most crowded beaches is all they know.
Manatees are amazing! I have seen one here in Pensacola, but that’s it. I have a photo somewhere, it was such an amazing sight! Just found your channel and subscribed, love your videos!
You just made my day! I haven’t been to Florida for about two years and longer than that since I’ve seen manatees! Love this! One of my goals for the future!
Wow, cute manatees and great video!! Hi Chris and gabby !! 💚 Have a good evening. Happy birthday gabby and happy holidays to you everyone!! Sad about the scars 😥
I lived in the USA for 5yrs working with Polo ponies. And each winter we would head down south too West Palm Beach and stay all winter. And we would go and visit the springs and i helped rescue one, but this was back in the early 90s. There is so so much done for these amazing mammals now, and so much more that can be done to protect there environment and them themselves. Be it from banning people from parts of there habitat and special boats which we all know are there biggest killers. Yes you do have alot of people that observe the no wake, and keep the speed down. But of course those that break the law are the ones that are killing them and causing these injuries..
Great video. I've noticed in several of your videos that both of you, when snorkeling, often remove the mouthpieces and just close your mouths. I've never done that snorkeling in the Crystal River or the ocean. Is it just for a better look at your faces during video, or is there another reason?
Hm I believe I saw three manatees at the Miami aquarium and one of them was so so big it couldn’t even swim around in its small circle tank i was so upset.. it didn’t seem healthy either.. broke my heart.. these creatures are so important..
@@FloridasWildest it was sort of bad timing going there, they had a lot of things closed..but most definitely I’ll ask if I ever have the chance to go back over there.. I did ask about their sea turtles.. but thank you again, I forgot they rescued those sea turtles I’m sure many of the animals there are rescued
I live in Weeki Wachee, and we have problems with uneducated visitors to our state touching and harassing our manatees. We are fighting to lower the amount of traffic allowed on the Weeki Wachee river.
Manatees are so cool. Thanks Gabby and Chris.
I love them. I love them so much. Look at their squishy faces 😭
awww they´re so cute and funny... blobs with legs... love them... I would not have been able to resist giving them a smooch on the nose

I wish I could live in Florida so I could see these adorable creatures myself.
As a floridian, it truly is amazing getting to see so many animals within an hour of your house!

Thank you for sharing and teaching me about Manatees.
I loved this!💚 I see manatees at a nature preserve near my home, but never from this angle. And sadly most of them do have scars.
Thanks for the awesome videos
The 3 people who disliked this video are soulless, bro.
what a shame a dislike already... i enjoy watching your channel
How do you hold your breath that long? I feel like if a manatee is checking you out you have to though😂
I love manatees!

Great video. So interesting.
IDK how he resisted touching them. They're so adorable! ❤ ( I mean I get it! I'm sure there's some insane fines if you do get caught touching them)
I never knew that there brain worked as you described. Pretty cool! 😊 Aren't spring water ways like that usually not motorboat accessible?
I have to go now . Awesome video though .
Upload more videos soon pls

Sirenias are such a majestic gentle animal, I love them.

Those manatees are actually unreleasable ! You should ask a keeper if you go there again and they can tell you their stories!

*confusion*
Go slow for the babies!!!
No natural enemies? I'm thinking wouldn't gators try to hunt manatees?
Nope. They actually can be found swimming together.
If they are In water why would you give them water? Lol
If they’re in salt water people give them fresh water from the hose
@Double0Seven Because then they start to approach boats looking for water and get killed. That’s why it’s illegal

So sad what we have done to our animals
Swimming with gators is not a big deal to me, but swimming with killer manatees must be horrifying.
