I think that's part of it though man, like if what Broughy's doing is so bad, then the rules are too strict to be enjoyable for me. Like I get that you've got to have rules to punish cheaters and rammers, but when your race can suddenly be ended by unpredictable lag and the community villifies you for it, then there's a wider problem at play here. I remember seeing heated arguments back in the day over this sort of thing and it just wasn't fun to be a part of. It made me constantly on edge that I might be banned for something I had no knowledge of and it meant that I couldn't drive the way that I wanted to. I felt more relaxed once I was given the Racer role and I made sure that my events were a bit more light-hearted (no-rules Vapid Minivan racing is a severely underrated art-form) and that I wasn't too harsh on people who made mistakes. But unfortunately I figured that unless the lag situation was sorted out then it was never going to be as good as I wanted it to be, and I guess this video proves that nothing has changed on that front.
Actually no, it was Painbow Road in the Transit bus that was my favourite event to run. It was silly but had some great opportunites for risky lines and overtakes. And of course, having all the busses roll down Chilliad at the end was just the icing on the cake.
@@Tuppence442 Do you know if the lag is mainly a FiveM thing, or a PH thing? Not sure how the servers work and all, but wish there was an improvement eventually. I'll admit, I stopped watching the last GFred when Broughy hit that rock on his way up Chiliad. He was doing so well and that careless mistake was so costly. the lag bubbles fully depend on the lobby, and with enough experience you can get good racing despite the issues with FiveM. Ask the established racers+ from Australia.
Even as someone who doesn’t take it that seriously, it can be so frustrating to be racing for fun and be taken out or take someone out for lag; kinda ruins the fun no matter how hard you’re trying or seriously you’re taking it
@@Tuppence442 you're overestimating the severity of waiting for a callout, and lag can be predictable, especially if you know who you're racing with and what their connection is like
must be an OG racer then since I don't remember your name or those events
we cant do anything about lag, FiveM itself is the limiting factor. sure having an EU-based server would help but as you know PH has a global playerbase, EU servers overall bring more lag since those in Asia get higher ping (whereas EU/NA people just swap the ping they have now). we make the best of FiveM's system.
If only the English football team had the same sportsmanship as brough
pretty sure the national team does have good sportsmanship, it's some of the fans that's the problem

@@Johnny362000 I think it's been that way for a while now why not push it?:)
I'll admit, I stopped watching the last GFred when Broughy hit that rock on his way up Chiliad. He was doing so well and that careless mistake was so costly. It happens, so I am/was not mad at him, I just, as he said, found myself emotionally invested in how well he was doing. So when slid down Chiliad I just couldn't go on. lol Even still, thanks for the content, Brough!
meh, I don't care where you end up, as long as it's good racing. I like the fact that people wait when they take other people out accidentally. That never happens on GTAO.
I didn't think you did anything wrong at all. I was actually angry at how a good race for you was needlessly ruined.
u overvalue the effect of _one callout._

Slow down the video at 3:45 he was nowhere near the tractor nor did he hit him so he shouldn't of waited.
The whole issue in general is the lag bubble. Where the server thinks youre somewhere else on the track then you actually are.
how is the concept of lag so hard for people to understand?
I've put thousands of dollars on sport bets fights, races, football(american) and some of ther commenters with no stake in your races get more upset than I do when I lose money. Its wierd
heel veel nederlanders haha lol
That callout was fucking horseshit, if these lag bubbles are still gonna be a thing and not tweaked, it's a fine shame.
how do we tweak something that is the inherent problem with FiveM itself
ah yes, tweak the lag lmfao
people are salty over him following homecoming rules? seems like everyone in chat's a griefer
Nice race.I just think that waiting people Due to crash is bull shit.
why
Its part of the race.On real life when cars crash nobody wait them.
@@turboplays9296 man really used real life as a comparison to a race in a video game where _you literally transform cars_
@@turboplays9296 in real life if cars crash they're usually both out of the race. That's why professional race car drivers try to avoid crashing. Without PHs rules there's nothing to discourage take outs.
I respact your POV but i dont agree.
stupid lag bubbles
you should write an attonement letter to Mark Verstappen and, just in case, to Jos Webber
🥸
lag bubbles put me off FiveM
I don't think these so-called "lag callouts" are any benefit to better racing.. you did nothing wrong on your screen and it just makes everything worse to watch, watching you suffer for something you didn't do.
First you wait for something that you had no control over, and then at 07:08 you absolutely force the other guy off the track and not give a shit about it?
and then at 15:55 are those 2 guys waiting for you?? pfft. feels like you're just making up these "waits" but whatever
18:44 Completely randomized callouts you have no control over
@@kianoni anything else you want to nitpick? you're just proving Broughy's point.
@@kianoni This is an actual server, not just a random group of people playing together. The rules are well documented and everyone in these videos is well aware of what they are, none of it is "just made up"
Ngl I'm sort of losing interest in Random Alls lately. People whining about this that and the other. Clearly didn't hit Mark from your perspective. Everyone calling you out and I can't ever remember you calling someone else out. You just deal with it...
the concept of lag must've gone over your head, plus Broughy has called people out before
