1) State any restrictions on the domain and asymptotes
2) Find the x and y intercepts
3) Find critical points
4) Find possible points of inflection
5) Create a sign chart using critical points, possible points of inflection, and vertical asymptotes as dividing points
6) Test values from each interval in the 1st and 2nd derivative to determine whether the function increasing or decreasing and concave up or concave down
7) State any local extrema and points of inflection
8) Graph the function
