These are so awesome! I have LOVE every foil mates release and I have a huge stockpile of foil I can use them to make t shirts and such, too. So versatile. I long for the day that you can formulate a stamp pad that has the toner ink that can be foiled so we can use all our Gina K stamps to foil :)

hi Gina! What a pretty bunch of cards and tags! :) I love the combination of colors on one piece. I'd be going nuts with that; using scraps a la Rina. Something I like to do; is to cut out more than one die at the same time. In fact, at a club meeting or show; I would put down multiples. I'd ask clubmates to each bring their circle dies, for instance. Also, when it comes to the die cutting, I would use a smaller die or a punch in the layering piece to save paper. I really liked the way you used the "negative" pieces of the foil!! Cheers!

I wonder if the Thermoweb Deco Foils will work with the foil-mates..? Guess I'll try my stash and find out. I picked up all the foil-mates she just intro'd and can't wait to use them!
So beautiful Gina. Can I use acetate sheets instead of transfer folders. I have difficulty getting them in the UK. Also will a laser printer prevent me getting smudges? I’m using setting 3 on the minc.

What kind of parchment paper do you use? The kind for baking?
Hey Gina....these Foil Mates are absolutely gorgeous, as are ALL the rest LOL! QUESTION: Can you advise what the "laminator sandwich" is when using the Minc Machine? I'm having difficulties with getting a clean foiled image when I use my Minc. If anyone knows, I'd soooo appreciate an answer. Happy Crafting!
Nancy, all you need is the foil-mates piece, the foil and the plastic carrier sheet. The most important thing about the Minc is the setting. Make sure it's set to 3. If it's higher than that, it will burn the ink before the foil can transfer and result in spotting. Hope that helps!

So can I make my own words in any black ink and use this foil or any foil and it will work? I need to know this before I order this and is this the only foil I can use with this?

You can use any heat reactive foil however, regular black ink will not work. You need to use the pre-printed Foil-Mates designs for these projects. :)
I thought you could use a printer to make more?
You can use a laser printer to create your own, yes. It will be a little different than the Foil-Mates because they are produced on a commercial printer with a commercial grade resin. But if you have design skills, yes, you can. I thought the original question was regarding stamping with black ink.
