Been a long time since one single episode of an anime was enough to get me hooked. But this seems to have everything i search for in an anime. An interesting dynamic between the two leads, a reason for the protagonist to act that i can 100% get behind and an action packed and interesting scenario which promises amazing fights
There is no romance between Sagiri and Gabimaru, but they do become one of the best shonen friendships/partnerships in recent memory. I do love to see some platonic friendships between main characters of different sexes for once. Also, the wife is going to have more impact in the story than you'd think.
Your love for romance in this reaction made me think of a scene of bleach that I just realized you’re decently near seeing. Can’t wait for that and definitely more of this
Don't worry. The story will take at most around 4 to 5 seasons since the manga has only around 130 chapters which sounds like alot but is alot less compared to demon slayer which is more than twice as long.
sagiri is giving huge sapphic vibes while gabimaru is only really in love with his wife so yeah no romance between those two. also don't worry, it'll only probably last 2 seasons? idk I remember the manga being fairly short.
Yeah, I headcannon Sagiri as a lesbian because of spoilers (you probably know what, specially that end), I would have been super pissed off if there was romance between gabimaru and her. And it probably will be only two seasons. This one if I'm not wrong will be 12 episodes, and dependind on the pace another 12 should be plenty to finish. The manga is pretty short, I read in one day even lol.
I had the absolute worst realisation and am even scared to type it out. Not a manga reader so its total speculation. What if the daughter is actually a ninja and is just acting? I can't, that's too much. I so so so wish they dont go that route.
Spoiler. There's a happy ending so y'all don't have to worry about some attack on Titan type bs 😂. Mc reunites with his wife, the chief gets executed and sagiri goes out to train to become strong enough to take over her clan to become it's leader. Mc aka gabimaru is the strongest human in the end and is stronger than every non human except for rein which is the last villain who was broken and had to be beaten via trickery because they couldn't kill her in a head on fight.
I just pray Gabimaru isn't used here. I didn't like the executioner saying: "I heard she's alive"; so she doesn't know for sure? This rose suspicion that his wife MAY be dead. I'll be super pissed if when Gabimaru returns he'll find out she's been dead for some time.
