- Let me show you how to make this super easy Tissue Box Cover (fits box 4 3/8" x 3 7/8" and 4 3/4" tall - US size: see below***) that was inspired by the stunning Tisue Box Cover I received from Rebecca Wilmore as a special team swap when we went to the OnStage Convention in Telford on 5th November 2016. *** FOR US SIZED BOXES which are 4½” x 4 3/8” and 5” tall
Cardstock box size should be 9 5/8” x 5 5/8”
Cardstock lid size should be 4 5/8” x 4½”
Score landscape at 4 5/8”, 9 1/8”; turn cardstock 90° anti-clockwise and score at 5 1/8”.

Good morning Jan, I went tissue buying yesterday and found the Kleenex tissues that fit your cover along with others. I think my boxes were a couple of years old, as that was when I first saw a cover but didn’t get round to making it. It looks like the manufacturer has reduced the number of tissues in a box rather than increase the price. Now my problem is solved and all future tissues boxes will fit neatly under your cover. Thank you for replying to my queries. Love your demonstration.

Many thanks for getting back to me, Mary. Yes, manufacturers do reduce the quantity rather than putting the price up! I also think the quality has gone down as well. I keep handbag tissues on my desk now..........and they work out cheaper! xx

Once again, I am watching on my self-imposed coffee break. While watching, it has occurred to me that it would be easy to take this project to the extreme and make a tissue box cover for every occasion throughout the year--keeping our powder rooms trending for sure! Lol. Thanks again, Jan.

Love this box have made it several times for friends, found out that after making the box, before adding the lid I slide it over the tissues and it is so much easier to put on the lid because it is more stable, hope that makes sense?? Tissue boxes are for sure different size in the U.S., thanks so much for giving those measurements too!

Thank you Jan for putting out the US tissue box measurements. I initially followed your first measurements and it wouldn't fit into my box. Now with the correct measurements it fits perfectly.... Love it will be making them to give away as thank you gifts.

Enjoyed this tutorial. I have been wanting to find something to cover my tissue boxes with. With my allergies I have boxes in every room in the house! Now I can make covers to match my color schemes. Thank you so much.

Your directions were so easy to follow but I didn’t look at what size box of tissues it fit. Box I have is too big for cover so hoping I can find a box that fits.

That's very kind of you Jan. It's 13cm tall, 10.5cm on the narrow side and 11.5cm on the wider side. It will be interesting to see if our boxes are the same as the US ones...Hugs Ali x

Hi, Mary. My box fits the Kleenex Collection box which measures 3 7/8" x 4 3/8" x 4 13/16". What box did you use? In the box below the video I also gave measurements for a US size box of tissues which is bigger than the UK. xx
Hi Jan, my box is a Kleenex but is larger than the size you have said. I also have a box of angel soft that I bought in the states which is slightly taller. I’ve made some covers using bigger dimensions. This has now prompted me to sew some covers, so thank you for the idea.
