Hey guys, John here with RealTruck.com. Today I want to show you how to install the Pace Edwards bed-locker tunnel cover onto this truck. The great thing about this bed-locker from Pace Edwards is that it comes complete with everything you need to put this on your truck. Now this is a really cool tunnel which will make this truck very secure when you get this thing on there, and I'm going to show you what it comes with right here.
You've got your side rails, you got drain tubes, you have your trail seal tape, the bolt and accessory kit, you have shims, and also your rail clamps, the wiring harness, and the coolest thing of all the wireless remote to operate this thing to open and close it; way cool guys. So the next thing to do is, oh and let's not forget the tunnel cover itself. So the next thing to do is get this thing on this truck. The next thing we need to do is go ahead and drill a hole in here for our wiring harness to travel through. Now the reason we're going to do that is because this truck has these bed caps on it, nice pretty looking bed caps. Underneath these it would be the stake pocket holes that you would normally run your wire through, but because the guy that owns this truck would like to leave these on, we're just going to improvise here a little bit, and we're going to drill a hole into the stake pocket slot right through here, and run our wiring through there.
Now we've got our hole drilled, the next thing we're going to do is go ahead and run our harness. Now make sure you run the correct end, because if not it's really going to be a pain pulling it all back through and redoing it. The one you're looking for is the end that has the red fuse connector on it, and this plug right here. So you can go ahead, and unplug this and just lay this part to the side, and we're going to take this wire and we're going to run it through the hole that we just made, and down and out the bottom of our truck bed box so that way we can run this wire along the underside of the truck up to the battery where we're going to connect.
Our wire harness is ran; the next thing to do is hook this up to the battery. We've got our wires hooked up to our cable ends, but we want to make sure we pull this fuse out of here, because we don't want to have this thing powered in the back when we're trying to hook the rest of it up, so pull that fuse out. Go ahead, and hook our ends back together so it's all done.
We've got our cover up into the back of our truck. What we did was we went ahead, and used the box that it came in; just cut it down so it would fit in here. Before we get too much further along here we're going to do, install our bed seal, and we're just going to run it right along the top with the bulkhead to the bed. Before attaching the bed rails we want to open this, we open this just pull and pull out about a foot, and then just let it, let it hang right there. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!
