I am so glad I came across this video series. I LOVE all those old 1940s, 50s, 60s, Chevs, Fords, Plymouths, and other old "Betsys" I just don't see why they don't make cars like that anymore. They were solid, simple, and practically "bullet-proof". We don't need all this computer controlled crap on our transportation vehicles.
Thank you!!! I thought about numbering them but... Some of this stuff I only did because it was so cold in January, I couldn't do the stuff outside.. But I'll see if I can group them and number them. Good idea!
Just being inside of this 53 brought back so many memories. My dad owned a 53 and the interior was identical. Just hope that you restore it to its originality. This is a beautiful car.
Is it possible to take a picture or two of the rear seat floor where the rear seat bottom mounts to the floor? And, does the rear seat bottom slide under the upper rear seat back?

Handle Clip Tool 3703632A 49-57 if anyone is looking.
Can you provide a parts number to the handle remover ? Tried to look it up on the Chev 40 site and it didn't pop up.
It’s called Handle Clip Tool 3703632A 49-57 I assume you found it by now tho.
@@CS-rx2gxno , never got the tool or the car. Some guys tried to defraud me. Luckily they didn't.
Curious as to why you’d remove the Vin tag-
I don't like to work around anything. I remove them so I can do my sandblast. finish paint and body and put them back where they were.
