Banjo Tooie is such an important part of my childhood. Seeing it broken like this brings a smile to my face. I’m glad I still got to hear some iconic “Yee-haw”s in Glitter Gulch Mine too. Great run, great commentary, great vibes all around. Keep up the good work lads!
When I was younger and my parents had an N64, Banjo Kazooie was the game they played together as a couple. They never beat it, but it pleases me deeply to watch this run and see the thing that brought them no end of frustration absolutely torn to shreds. Top tier game choice, top tier game play.
They didn't really explain, but while they're doing the Witchyworld skip the reason they don't just kill all the nearby enemies so they don't interrupt the setup is because unlike Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie has a somewhat annoying mechanic where any enemies you kill will respawn a minute or two after you kill them. The idea is so you don't run out of honeycombs to heal with, but still more annoying than not.
I'm surprised the gameplay footage is intermittently hanging, since you're playing this at the event shouldn't there be a local recording of the gameplay instead of relying on the stream footage? Good work on the speedrun.
I love Banjo-Tooie, one of my favorite games, but that glitch they use feels like cheating. It's just my personal opinion, but skipping to the final boss by watching a cutscene you unlocked prior to the speedrun doesnt feel like a speedrun.

It was a lot of fun getting to commentate this run! Seeing these tricks done live was incredible - great job again Duck! 👏
Good job to you!
Awesome run all around, none of this could be possible without the support of the community.
Jaw-dropping run! I wish I could hear either James Earl Jones or Patrick Stewart uttering the line, "Behold, the power of the mighty Jiggywiggy!"
Grew up playing these games, absolutely love seeing them played like this!
Love to see Duck back in action! Great showing as always.
Ayo Banjo, will always be one of the best platformers ever.
Such an OG game, Brings Back Memories
19:58 ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
26:34 Wow!
28:50 Oof.
30:35 NICE!
Anyway, nice analysis & run video! Amazing how far this speedrun has come!
“Jiggies”? Where we’re going, we don’t need Jiggies.
Always nice seeing a Duck run
Immaculate vibes throughout this run, great shit Duck

That's what I figured, but a minute or two with no enemy right behind you still seems like it would be better than having them around.
Love this game I left my like for gdq keep up the great work
A 2000 game? Man these guys are legends. I was born on 1999
But what happens if you enter Hag1 without the breegul blaster move?
Now we just need someone to find a way to beat the game without that one last jiggy …

Good work on the speedrun.
ahhh so it's not just me
@shlongster7 in the couch. I see you!

Nice
Amazing run! I wonder if the game used the expansion pack it wouldn't have been so laggy?
That's not the game.
@@TecknoVicking wdym?
@@soriso717 the stream layout froze as well during the hitches, it's the recording or streaming software somewhere along the line
@@TecknoVicking I think he means how Tooie strains to get 12-20 fps out of the N64 and almost always falls short
How do they find these clips and stuff
A lot of ppl found the GGM entry glitch in the early 2000's.
"""delayed cutscene skip"""
Well, T.J. ““““Henry”””” Yoshi…
🖐🖐🖐🖐🖐
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA AMONG US???
but to only have one jiggy should be low% not any% well well
But any% could be 0% or 5% etc. With 14 jiggies it was also any%
