Hi, I was one of the devs for the original Surface Hub in 2015 (for automation and hardware programming). Good to know that Microsoft is still working on this and didn't abandon it like I originally thought but I believe that these have more potential than Microsoft originally had planned and performed amazingly well with certain gaming technologies.
Don't forget rotation as well. And it only takes about 2 minutes to set up the device for work. :D Everything should work nearly instantly to make it a working tool. But Microsoft was never known for speed. So it fits the lineup perfectly :)
Congrats Microsoft, the Surface Hub 3 seems to be a great product and I would buy it however, given the target market and the price, it should be able to deliver fluid animations and transitions such as during screen rotation or while handwriting in Whiteboard etc. The Copilot integration and the evolution of Windows is impressive, and you can be proud of that.
I loved trying out the Original Microsoft Surface at the Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas when I was just 16 years old! That was a neat product, and now, the Surface Hub 3 looks like a vast improvement! Why did they lose Panos Panay? I think he was doing a great job! I know the surface phone and laptops aren't appreciated much in the market but it seems like a lateral move. He was a great spokesman and under his tenure Microsoft's hardware has really improved.
Yup what an excellent opportunity missed for potential customers to learn about the Surface lineup. They must have paid so much to excellent industrial designers and software engineers etc. But no funds to introduce the product to market. What an oversight!
What does the "we can save the whiteboard" workflow look like? I get that it automatically shares w/ other meeting participants, but what about an ad hoc whiteboard session that is not a meeting?
No, firstly it uses another version of Windows 11, but you can install the normal version and it looks like a giant mobile screen, but it shouldn't be very practical. Second, it doesn't have as powerful a GPU, so it must be difficult to run games . And thirdly, it wasn't made for that, it was designed for companies so their employees can collaborate and share ideas.
uh... Studio 2+ released pretty recently. as for the duo, I bet the hub has sold 10x as many devices as the duo and it easily costs 10x what the duo did.
Its a pity a wonderful product like this is totally undersold because of a sub-par video production. Please Microsoft you can invest in top professionals for the job, don't let Apple be No.1 always.
I don't think if business will buy this only difference being that business have to connect their laptop/ system to a big tv without touch screen and surface have build in system and touch screen. Rather then targeting business you should have sold it has microsoft TV just like apple tv if business wanted even they can use it with touchscreen also every day individual and also remote is required.
Microsoft The User Interface and User Experience is just horrible. You need to hire someone like me to fix all the super annoying things that microsoft never got it right. Example: 1. Store audio settings and device so when upgrading things never breaks. 2. Like this video, as soon the rotation starts a smooth animation starting to rotate the canvas. Not something ugly and glitch on this video. Predict what the use is going to do and pre-render Ui motion. 3. Less is more! 4. One more thing, when using 4k and 8k monitors the UI needs to use the space and pixel count wisely. The text, icons will be SUPER hard to see when space has things too small to see. That's why I always tell people when using a 4k display to change the UI to 1080p so we can see things and not walk close to the monitor to check on things that are too small to see. There are so many things that I can share to make Windows the best OS. period!

Is there no one in this company who really understands the market's needs and directs the team to create something really necessary? Performance is too weak. Compare iPad how smooth with pen with this surface. I am very disappointed that Engineers don’t pay attention to performance and flow. I wouldn’t buy. Most Microsoft products are more marketing base rather quality.

Even after several years of one note's launch nobody uses it as their primary note taking app you guys don't even have your own mind mapping tool. No pop up dictionary. Heck even after so many years you guys have not been able to solve seamless integration between Android. Microsoft is a doomed company.
Garbage on wheels that is 20x overpriced. An entire operating system that runs one program - MS Teams room. It should be called Garbage MS Room and not Surface Hub. You cannot even use it as a share screen without starting a Teams Room app. MS tries to build an "ecosystem" therefore forget about the easy use of this with other operating systems or devices.The app is also a very limited in functionality when compared to the MS Teams classic. You could achieve better results with a smart screen/TV + a cast app for just 200-300 dollars.
