Stefan breaks up with Elena, but she has a hard time getting over him, so Damon tries to help her, but no matter what she can't stop thinking about Stefan, and ends up pushing Damon away even though she doesnt want to. Stefan comes back to Elena a few times out of jealousy once he realizes that she and Damon are getting closer. In the end Stefan realizes he was wrong to keep Elena from happiness, so he leaves his ring behind to remember him by, and leaves town. Elena realizes that she really wants to be with Damon.

I like stelena and Delena. The reason why I like Selena is because it an "epic love" they fel for each other and it was beautiful as deep. The reason why I like delena is because their love started as a friendship and then elena eventually fell for him. I would like elena to end up with Stefan because he was her first love and but in the other hand I would like delena to end up together because I think it's more realistic in a way that she does not end up with her first love but with the one that she started to love...
