Middle Eastern and North African countries emerged from COP 28 with key mitigation and adaptation goals and targets to meet. In the second installment of Carnegie Conversations: Climate Change in Middle East and North Africa, Amr Hamzawy and Lama Elhatow, a lecturer and program coordinator at Johns Hopkins University, to discuss the region's progress in these efforts.
Focusing on the fossil fuel transition, Lama examines vulnerable sectors, policy proposals, resource management and best practices in oil exporting versus oil importing states.
