From a Texas point of view, the Still Austin BiBs are gonna be gettable…at like Total Wine size stores (and better in Austin)…but basically only whichever quarterly release is current, about a month later than distillery release.
Rare breed wins most blinds I put it in. This is great. I put Rare Breed, OF 1920, Green River FP and Redwood Empire Cask Strength against each other in my latest video.
JD, MM, Woodford DO, Sagamore DO are solid. Hope to one day score an Unicorn.

I honestly been putting them off for no reason really and to anyone that's iffy on jack really in all seriousness get yourself atleast the jd single barrel select but I'd say the sbbp are a must have by JD.

Hey I'm fairly new to the bourbon/rye scene, but an idea I'd like to see into a video maybe is a list/tier list of those very unicorn bottles. I know most allocated things but don't know very many "unicorn" worthy ones. Didn't know bookers had a 30/15th anniversary and I absolutely love beam products. I notice alot of ppl like to rag on beam until they're in a giveaway or being shared with others.

Don’t let Dave tell u old Bardstown BinB is trash! I really like it for a value pour (mixed or neat!). I think the purple tops are way overpriced but the real winners from Willett are Old Btown BiB and Pure Ky for the price.
Also, I paused and thinking Zach will choose OFPC and Dave will choose HH17. But I could see both of u agreeing on WHH.

I can find that Still Austin BiB Rye every day of the week. It definitely is not allocated but less distributed outside of Texas.

I prefer the Green River over the 1920, also. I Grab the black box Jack over the Hazmat Jack. Wish it were readily available, but I Love the Huber BiB, but its a trip to the distillery to get it.
As a potential follow up, what would the mythical distillery facilities be like? Modern like Bardstown? Classic country club like Woodford? Located in the country or near a major road? Restaurant included?
How does one even get a King of Kentucky?
It is mostly a end of the year bottle to the best customers at store. Or something that would be in a lottery. The only store that puts it out as a public release really is Liquor Barn in our area.
