While I have to agree it's not the best stand and has been in this stae for some years. The stand is in a better state than the 2nd string team that Southampton put out that night
Shame about the result. Your fans deserved better after travelling all that way on a Tuesday night hopefully it won’t affect your league form. Lived in Southampton for a while and had a season ticket for a few years and went to away games as well so always look out for their result and hope they do well
3 stands of it are a great ground. At our level, not enough clubs bring enough fans for it to be open so it’s not high on the list of things for the new owners to sort.
Believe me, us Gillingham fans are embarrassed by the scaffold stand. Especially as it’s named after Brian Moore. Hopefully it will get taken down & a proper stand built now we have a new owner.
Haha yeah don’t get me wrong I know money Dosent grow on trees at your level so I get why it’s there but would be nice one day to have a proper stand in
That shitty stand is the result of ITV Digital going bust all those years ago after we (and loads of small clubs) had already spent the money. Saying that, at least the stand is angled so that you can see the game, even if you get snowed/pissed on. I think it was supposed to be like the Rainham End opposite. Don’t think it’s the worst stand as one of the Barnet areas was below pitch level so your head was just poking above the players angles. Also Luton’s away end where they just stuck seats on an old standing area so you can only see the back of the bloke in front of you’s head.
Yeah that is true at least it was fairly steep and close to the pitch so the view was pretty good. Just had the feeling of it wobbling all the time when people walked past 🤣
Embarrassing fans singing ‘we scored a goal’ - same lot singing how sh*t must you be were winning away and we never win at home never win away against wednesday Support the team, if you want to sing about our own team being sh*t go support someone else, players aren’t gonna be up for it if their own support is mocking them.
Hilarious mush. Or at least it seems to be to our stone island wearing, soccer AM / Green Street watching fans. The ones who have actually grown up see it's embarassing.@@OAFC98
Really enjoyed that! Nice approach to a football video. All about the action and experience. Nice one!
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed :)
Went there in 2010 got pissed on by the rain. Loved it
Proper Footy

Good video from a gillingham fan😂
Haha thanks mate 😂🤝🏼
Oxford United need something similar
Aren’t Oxford gonna build a new ground soon?
Don't comeback to gills then😂.... i don't mean to sound rude but thats the obvious answer unless ur sitting in the home end....
What was the score? 😂
Can’t remember… 👀
Fair play to Saints fans, 3-0 down and for the most part still singing.
Why are Saints fans singing a Spurs song? LoL
Oi It’s our song 😡😂
Nope, worse stand was the away end corner at Barrow
Oh really 😂 what’s bad about that one? Never been before
@@jasonsfootballpage it is getting upgraded but it is like a building site
Similar structure to what maud flanders died on
😂😂😂
Ez win😂
Gills gills beating a recently relegated pl team ahaha over £70mil team on the pitch vs a league 2 side
What is a “gillingham” ?
@@FlyingAstro similar to a Southampton but score more goals
@@ssashby1 everyone knows who we are, not gillingham however
you do now 🤣🤣
Oh dear sad ground lol😂😂
Haha got character mate 😂

@@jasonsfootballpage I’m old enough to remember when other PL teams hated “The Dell” 😂👍
There will only be a new one if we get promoted and consistently have it full otherwise no point spending money on something that won’t be used

I remember it well. If you drop your programme (or anything else for that matter) it's lost forever.
Yep literally 😂 was worried I’d drop my phone
Gillingham wtf....😂cant you afford concrete....I guess its prefab...?good win gills....😉👍hey sod the ground 😂drfc fan ...🔴⚪🔴🥳🍻
Have it 😂
As a gills fan we are embarrassed by this, it could have been worse it weren’t p***ing down 😂, hope this get sorted in the near future
Yeah was praying to the weather gods it would stay dry for us and it did so really was a W for us haha
Try visiting Gateshead- their similar stand is much worse- at least you have a good view at The Gills.
Oh really? I have see Gateshead has some massive ground with an athletics track 😂
Cheers for the easy win laters
No problem 🤝🏼
I would not feel safe sitting there
Ah mate it didn’t not feel safe, you could feel it love when people walked past or jumped 😂😂
Safe enough for it to have been there for 20 odd years…🤷🏻♂️
what’s the sound effects on the passing about?
Thought it’d be cooler 😂 do you prefer it without?

They weren’t up for it when we were supporting them 😂 end of the day just a bit of banter
Called banter and having a laugh which is what an away day is all about especially when you’re playing badly. Bet you’re a right laugh at the footy😂
