It is proven that the mask used in H1 is the same mask used in H2, The mask on the dummy was not used in any films, the one he shows is the original from 1 and 2.
The Halloween 2 mask was my favorite. I read its actually the Halloween 1 mask after it had been under Debora Hill's bed in a box since the first movie and had warped out of shape. I like the leaner average height Michael in Halloween 2, the every-man build added to the contrast of the supernatural strength and resilience.
I agree, I prefer Castle and Warlock as The Shape in 1 and 2 simply because they are normal-sized guys (Castle is about 5'10", Warlock about 5'9") which makes the character more terrifying since his superhuman strength is even more puzzling and unexplainable. Making Michael taller than 6'0" or some muscle-bound giant completely defeats the point of the character and makes it less mysterious or creepy. Of course a 6'8", 275 lb. dude is going to always whoop ass no matter who they meet. But you see a guy that's 5'9" destroying people way bigger than him...way more scary.

ClayMation This was the original mask used in H1 and H2, Which means it’s more than 40 years old. Originally, Halloween was just a b-roll movie, and was never intended to be a big success in movie history. Which means, they didn’t really care too much about the props and stuff. Debra Hill, the script supervisor and producer of Halloween, had kept it under her bed in a shoe box, but then took it out for H2. By then, the mask was 3 years old, and it looked older because of how heavy a smoker Debra was. Dick Warlock, the man who played the shape in H2, had kept it for a long time until he sold it at an auction, and has since been held at the man’s house.
ClayMation funny enough since this interview was shot in 2001 and a photo of the mask today In 2018 has surfaced and from that time gap it has not gotten much worst due to them preserving it as much as they can, from the 3 year period between 1978-1981 it aged pretty badly and noticeably too, so seeing it now, it’s not that bad and consider it was a cheap $2 mask in 1978 made out of latex, an organic material, it’s actually held up quite well
Oh, damn it, the puncture wound rotted off! I KNEW that would happen! In the movie, you can see this coffee stain-sized ring going around the spot exactly where it's rotted off, and even then I felt like I was looking at a future problem.
John Carpenter has confirmed they used the same mask...Its a proven fact and dont try to argue it. The mask was under Debra Hill's bed inbetween the films. although I do think H1 and H2 mask is the same, you can see behind the scenes from the first movie of 2 mask, and also photos of Carpenter playing for his band during 1978 shortly after making the film and the band members all have the masks on.

Alright to confirm 2 things 1) warlock is holding one of the two originals and the one on the mannequin is a replica. 2) there are two original masks as there is a confirmed photo of John carpenter and nick castle on the set of H1 both wearing converted Kirk masks so in the vid is one of two originals, also there are some photos at a wrap party with John carpenter and a few others playing guitars wearing the masks so just to put that to rest, which actually makes the count 3 masks in total as tommy lee Wallace was wearing one as well
There were 3. 2 were stunt masks, the one in the video, not on the mannequin as that’s a limited edition ken hertlein mask, with the decay and rotted mouth and neck is the original H1 and H2 hero mask. There aren’t 2 hero masks, only, the other 2 (possibly 3, making it 4 total) were stunt masks that were lost after filming so for H2 they used the original H1 hero, it only looks different because of nick castle having a smaller head and dick Warlock having a huge head; hence the ‘warlock stretch’ look in H2

If this is the original movie wardrobe and mask . They should be in some sort of aired contained glass container to avoid further deterioration ..Who is the man in this video showing it off.. If this is real then it is movie history and should be taken better care of.....
The mask is to fragile these days to be under such lighting and around people. If it was on display it would be low lighting and sealed away, while no flash photography would be allowed.
The original mask worn by Nick Castle was lost . They used the second mask that was worn by the stuntmen and stand ins in Halloween in Halloween 2 for Dick Warlock because the mask that was worn by Nick Castle was lost .
something isnt making sense here...thats Dick Warlock who sold the screen worn mask to a Haunted House in Ohio long before this film was made!!! so what mask is that bcuz it doesnt look like the one in H2

The one that looks good and nice is a replica by ken hertlein the one that’s fallen apart is the screen used hero mask
You really must know nothing. The mask IS the same. The producers even confirmed it.
How can I find replicas of these masks that are not awful looking..?
eBay.
video depresses me.. makes me think of much H4 and up got further and further away from that real Halloween/Carpenter feel. I think 2 is the last one with that feel (also 3, but not including that one because it is another story).
Was this filmed in 81?
Is this the HERO MASK ????
I'm just repeating what Nick Castle said.
Yeah but the original Halloween mask is gone. This movie was made 3 years later. so it has to be gone to right?
Latex if stored properly and cleaned properly can last for awhile that’s why there are some original 75 Kirk mask or just original don post masks in general that are still around I own a 1970 something gillas mask from don post and it’s not even hard not rotted still very flexible and wearable all depends on how you handle the masks
If this is the original movie wardrobe and mask . They should be in some sort of aired contained glass container to avoid further deterioration ..Who is the man in this video showing it off.. If this is real then it is movie history and should be taken better care of.....
Bumble
people who both films*
2004*
Dick Warlock As Michael Myers
Jamie Lee Curtis As Laurie Storde
Current Halloween 2 (1981)
The mask is to fragile these days to be under such lighting and around people. If it was on display it would be low lighting and sealed away, while no flash photography would be allowed.
You do realize the mask is over 30 years old, right?
What is the color of the coveralls???
Ronquillo Egay Navy Blue for Halloween, and spruce green for Halloween II
@@alexdelarge8450 They're green in both movies
The original mask worn by Nick Castle was lost . They used the second mask that was worn by the stuntmen and stand ins in Halloween in Halloween 2 for Dick Warlock because the mask that was worn by Nick Castle was lost .
H1+H2=SAME MASK! The main mask that was used for H1 was used for H2.
something isnt making sense here...thats Dick Warlock who sold the screen worn mask to a Haunted House in Ohio long before this film was made!!! so what mask is that bcuz it doesnt look like the one in H2
Which one are you talking about? The white one on a manicane is another mask the one torn up was sold to the guy in 2002 and this was made in 2001

Yeah they used the same hero mask for part 1 and 2
no 1:19 that hurt
Go watch******
That's my dream to buy that mask but it's too late
No, no it isn't. You can purchase it from the carnival owner in Ohio who currently owns it. But be prepared to be in debt.
The tramer was burned
Shape not same.....lol
Isn't that Dick Warlock
lol
That is not the real mask😂
That is not the actual mask used in movie
Fack
can you give me that
Its a FAKE. Look at H2. Michael's eyebrows r brown in the movie. This masks eyebrows r NOT brown.
I love Dick Warlock
