There is nothing wrong with having money. Money is just a tool to be used in the right direction. When money becomes a god to you, that's when it turns into the love of money is the root of all evil. People take verses of scripture out of context Alot.
I used to listen to Joyce Meyer, Joel Olsteen, Creflo Dollar, etc. But when they started asking for donations cause they need Jets and I see that their homes, yachts, etc could be featured on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" I started reviewing my priorities in my Faith! Yes, their speaches did uplift me and helped me in a lot of issues. But, really, where is all the donations going to? I'm sure its not the needy. When Joel Olsteen closed down his HUGE church during a hurricane and people were in danger of dying. I knew exactly what these people are about!!!

I'm a house painter. I've given money to this ministry. Most of the time you trust God in what it's being used for. I hired a fresh outta prison convict to work for me. He told me about a woman evangelist on TV that sent him tooth paste,books and other things that prisons don't give to inmates. It was Joyce Meyer ministries. So say what you want about her. It made me cry when I found out that some of the money went to those people in prison, I never knew.

Yes, I was.one of those people..Joyce Meyer sent free books , bibles and this ministry helped me get thru 13 years locked up. I actually thought this video was about her testimony of what get father did to her growing up. God bless her.

I met Joyce Meyers many yrs ago in person and I will never forget her compassion for me during our conversation. She was so down to earth and didn't see my skin color just my heart. Well now, I ain't up there on tv preaching gimme gimme and ya' know I didn't murder anybody and neither has any family member of mine murdered anybody so You will pardon me if I readily judge Joyce and Joel. During that hurricane I was volunteering for the red cross sorting clothes in the CenturyLink center for distribution to the victims and my parents, who were in their seventies, were handing out debit cards and water bottles and blankets while securing hotel rooms for the victims via the Red Cross disaster van they drove. My father helped build churches and schools with the money he made at his small construction company. My mother fed homeless men at Thanksgiving and Chtistmas with the money she made from her business. Sooooo.......yeah, I feel like they aren't doing what they should be doing with all that money they BEG for. I wouldn't feel this way at all if they EARNED that money but they literally took it off the backs of poor people. Sooooo......yeah, I feel inclined and qualified to speak about this.

Joyce came to my city about 10 years ago when I started getting to know Jesus. I didn't have much money and she didn't ask for any money for people to see her , give what we could for the offering that was it. God is good always always God is good.

To be fair, I don’t think you watched her facial expressions for the duration of this clip. Her tells are plain to see. The questioning was rehearsed, and brilliantly executed by these lawyers who painted a clear picture of her unwillingness to be truthful on the important questions.

I listen to Joyce from time to time and I have never heard her teach anything heretical. I actually understand and have read and studied the scriptures for 40 years and I recognize heresy when I hear it.I have not heard everything she has written or said, but what I have read and heard is consistent with scripture.
I am very impressed by the peace and self assurance Joyce had during her time in court. It is very apparent, to me that the Lord was with her. Thank You God, for Joyce Meyer
I am not a fan of organized religion in general or in mega-churches or TV preachers in general, but I have always kinda liked Joyce Meyer. She says some very good and helpful things, and I am grateful that I have been able to listen to her and learn from her by taking what is helpful and ignoring the rest.
I have always enjoyed Joyce Meyer’s ministry for many years. She has had many health issues and she is a cancer survivor, so if she wanted to have any surgery on her face to make herself feel better, that is her business! She is almost 70 years old and I personally hope I look as young as she does when I am her age! 😀

Yes, she runs a company, so why don't they pay taxes. Church is a business. You shouldn't have to pay to hear the word. Yes, the lights need to be paid but how is she and other ministers who say God called them able to live these lavished lifestyles. Jesus didn't preach living a lavished style. Help me understand.

I find it wrong that pastors have to pay the government to be ordained so that you can pay the government to get a marriage license. This was originally designed by the government to avoid interracial marriage and now it gives the government control over your children and assets in the event of a divorce. If you think that a ministry is using money incorrectly then do not give your money to that ministry. The Bible calls us to help the poor and those who cannot help themselves. This means that you should pray about where to give your money. The Bible says nothing in the new covenant about tithing but Jesus said to feed His sheep and that when you cast your bread on the water it will return to you tenfold. It doesn’t say that it will return to you from the place you put it so don’t expect that to happen. No where does the Bible say to put money in a felt lined dish and hope it goes where He wants it to go. Pray about who God wants you to bless and go bless those people. It’s not my business what kind of house a preacher lives in but it is my business to pray about whether or not to give to a particular church. It’s also my business (our business) to avoid staying in a ministry that doesn’t teach God’s Word. Joyce Meyer teaches the truth. There are many other who preach prosperity with Hallmark nicey nice words and they are the only ones prospering. Stay away from those places. I can listen to Joyce Meyer and never send a single penny to her and still get great teaching that I can apply to my life. If God leads me I’ll send her money but that’s not usually how God works with me. I’m more apt to find hungry people and feed them but that’s my call on my life, we don’t all have the same calling. I’ve been homeless and have owned nice houses. God takes care of me wherever I am. Blessings to you!
Seems to me she is being very blessed for all the hard work she does. We need more transparent bible teachers like Joyce in this world. Joyce ministries (financial records are an open book), she has the company's CPA's post everything on her website. As long as your doing the right things in life GOD will bless you in many ways! Joyce has a hard job, not many people could do this type of job. Being on the road traveling all the time; keeping track of all the building schools, medical facilities her ministries does. And employing 900 people -- wow!
@@emward6858 Christians believe that Jesus died & was resurrected. Sometimes people use the word "reborn" when they're referring to the resurrection. As for the part about Jesus going to hell... I've heard different preachers share theories on where they think Jesus was during the time between death & Resurrection. Some actually believe (I'm not among them) that He went into hell & fought some kind of spiritual battle. Does it really matter where we think Jesus was during that time? The point is is we believe He was crucified & resurrected. Most churches & denominations require their members to believe in the Crucifixion & Resurrection (why else ascribe to the faith if you don't?). But I have never heard of any of them excommunicating people for simply having a theory on what Jesus experienced between that time.

I've just seen this today. She seems pretty cool under pressure. The questioning was clear, direct and to the point. In any case, no one is responsible for someone else's behaviour or decisions. Some people need to grow up and behave as mature, responsible adults and not children by always blame shifting with excuses such as everybody does it etc.
So you got HER version of the Bible? How about you just read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John for yourself? Everything you need to operate as a christian is in there plain as day. You do not need to pay somebody to explain it to you.

I went to volunteer in Katrina for two weeks one year after the hurricane. And Joyce Meyers ministries supplied brand new and I mean spanking brand new pick up trucks and trailers and backhoes to clear debris

She was the first group to arrive to help with katsina I remember also government disaster relief gave funding plus her. Misson and i am not into these organisations but I remember when she got in there with her workers and volunteers and did a great job

Probably them just surprised that a killer being so heinous and being the security guard, well paid, secure job, for a huge ministry, perhaps they were curious if the killer had said anything that would add all this up for them to better understand. You know for example if the killer had ever went to Joyce to talk out his issues or even make small talk or a wise crack as to what he ended up doing and who exposed he really was before the murders, on the inside psychologically.
When i used to work nights alone as a security guard on a building site years ago i used to listen her on my radio every night and i never knew who she was and it was at that time i can say that she really led me on the right path to the Lord...all the way over here in Ireland from America where she lives i really felt like it was meant to be, God bless you Joyce in Jesus name Amen!

Well technically, there is a difference....if you are having an extra marriage affair against a valid wife (first marriage) then that would be adultery "while you are still married." But if you are divorced and remarried while your first spouse still lives, then this "marriage" wouldn't be valid, and you would be guilty of an adulterous affair while you were not still married.

People keep talking about how Joel didn't let people in his church during a crisis and while Joel has always gave me the creeps I totally understand why he couldn't do that. By letting all of those people into your building you are now legally obligated for every person there. Anyone gets hurt, you go bankrupt. Anyone decides to wreck the place, the church is the one who pays. They had no security in place, no food, no water, no bedding. If they had agreed to allow a rush of tens of thousands of people to just come in, they become legally and financially responsible for all of them. It would be the end of that church for years if not for good. It was a tough decision, but it was the right decision. It's not their job or obligation to house people, that is the job of our government. That's what we pay our government for.

I'm watching this 10 years later. I just started listening and reading Joyce's teachings. I've been helped so much and am so grateful to God,Jesus and Holy Spirit for her. Thank You God for not allowing any weapon to prosper against your believers. All praise and glory to You Lord. Thank you Joyce for being a woman of integrity who continues to give all glory to God. She could easily retire and stand on her body of work. She is in her 80s now I think and STILL passionately serving the Lord for OUR good. She is determined to help as many people as she can during her time on earth.

Money itself is a tool, neither good nor evil in itself. God doesn't tell us that we can only have so much money or only a little amount of money. It's not about the amount, it's about what we do with that money that counts. And only God can really judge whether or not He thinks we were good stewards of it for Him in the end.
We've all heard plenty of accounts of really poor people committing crimes (robbery, theft, etc) in order to get money or goods. So that's why I say it's not about the amount of money a person has or doesn't have. It's about what we do with it...whether or not what we do with it pleases God is what's important.

I used to listen to Joyce Meyer, Joel Olsteen, Creflo Dollar, etc. But when they started asking for donations cause they need Jets and I see that their homes, yachts, etc could be featured on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" I started reviewing my priorities in my Faith! Yes, their speaches did uplift me and helped me in a lot of issues. But, really, where is all the donations going to? I'm sure its not the needy. When Joel Olsteen closed down his HUGE church during a hurricane and people were in danger of dying. I knew exactly what these people are about!!!

During that hurricane I was volunteering for the red cross sorting clothes in the CenturyLink center for distribution to the victims and my parents, who were in their seventies, were handing out debit cards and water bottles and blankets while securing hotel rooms for the victims via the Red Cross disaster van they drove. My father helped build churches and schools with the money he made at his small construction company. My mother fed homeless men at Thanksgiving and Chtistmas with the money she made from her business. Sooooo.......yeah, I feel like they aren't doing what they should be doing with all that money they BEG for. I wouldn't feel this way at all if they EARNED that money but they literally took it off the backs of poor people. Sooooo......yeah, I feel inclined and qualified to speak about this.

She says some very good and helpful things, and I am grateful that I have been able to listen to her and learn from her by taking what is helpful and ignoring the rest.

She has had many health issues and she is a cancer survivor, so if she wanted to have any surgery on her face to make herself feel better, that is her business! It doesn’t say that it will return to you from the place you put it so don’t expect that to happen. It’s also my business (our business) to avoid staying in a ministry that doesn’t teach God’s Word. Joyce Meyer teaches the truth. There are many other who preach prosperity with Hallmark nicey nice words and they are the only ones prospering. Stay away from those places. I can listen to Joyce Meyer and never send a single penny to her and still get great teaching that I can apply to my life. If God leads me I’ll send her money but that’s not usually how God works with me. I’m more apt to find hungry people and feed them but that’s my call on my life, we don’t all have the same calling. I've heard different preachers share theories on where they think Jesus was during the time between death & Resurrection. Some actually believe (I'm not among them) that He went into hell & fought some kind of spiritual battle. Does it really matter where we think Jesus was during that time? The point is is we believe He was crucified & resurrected. Most churches & denominations require their members to believe in the Crucifixion & Resurrection (why else ascribe to the faith if you don't?). But I have never heard of any of them excommunicating people for simply having a theory on what Jesus experienced between that time.

People keep talking about how Joel didn't let people in his church during a crisis and while Joel has always gave me the creeps I totally understand why he couldn't do that. By letting all of those people into your building you are now legally obligated for every person there. Anyone gets hurt, you go bankrupt. Anyone decides to wreck the place, the church is the one who pays. They had no security in place, no food, no water, no bedding.
If they had agreed to allow a rush of tens of thousands of people to just come in, they become legally and financially responsible for all of them. It would be the end of that church for years if not for good. It was a tough decision, but it was the right decision. It's not their job or obligation to house people, that is the job of our government. That's what we pay our government for.

Money itself is a tool, neither good nor evil in itself. God doesn't tell us that we can only have so much money or only a little amount of money. It's not about the amount, it's about what we do with that money that counts. And only God can really judge whether or not He thinks we were good stewards of it for Him in the end.
We've all heard plenty of accounts of really poor people committing crimes (robbery, theft, etc) in order to get money or goods. So that's why I say it's not about the amount of money a person has or doesn't have. It's about what we do with it...whether or not what we do with it pleases God is what's important.
