Was playing with ring and kontrolfreek combo for months now. Kontrolfreek gives precision on pin point shots and ring gives resistance to prevent unwanted movements on your analog. These two mods fill each other's weaknesses. I can't play without them now.
Man, I'm a m/k gamer but I saw this video last year and I ordered the Inferno's with the rings and started playing claw. I came back to say thank you for this video. Because of this mods I can now proudly say that I'm both a m/k and a controller gamer. I also bought the PS4 back button attachment (Yes, I'm playing claw + paddles). Now I'm playing 19/19 sensitivity and I'm addicted to controller gaming now. Thank you again.

I just got the rings two days ago. At first it takes some time to get used to the resistance and you absolutely need to sky rocket your sensitivity. Likewise didn’t like them initially but needed something to combat the looseness of the elite series 2 joysticks beyond what you can tighten them. Now I’m absolutely all team precision rings. What a difference.
What helped me improve the most was being deliberate with smoothly looking around corners instead of jerking, and then slowly speeding it up. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
Force yourself to not smash the right stick left and right. Feels unnatural at first but everything feels better when you get timing and pressure right

If anyone is thinking of buying these precision rings, I got mine yesterday aswell as unlocking the blue dot and I promise my accuracy has improved already, I put it on 20/20 sensitivity like JGOD did, I only used 1 ring for the R3 stick but holy cow it's mental how well they work.
Just got mine as well. Got the galaxy kontrolfreeks the week before. I went from 8-8 to 14-14 with the galaxies and within 2 games was very comfortable with it. Rings came in 15 minutes ago and bumped it to 20-20. Its nuts how much those rings help. Give it a go if your on the fence.

I've never understood how people play on such a low sensitivity, I've played on max since cod 4. But I found for Warzone 17, 17 and .8 ads works best for me
I just found out about these when I was looking to replace my kontrolfreeks with new ones[been using them since like 2014 and can't live without them] and immediately ordered them and happened to run into this. I'm glad someone I watch likes them and gave a good review of them. Makes me more excited to try them out.

Back in the black ops days i would put the sensitivity as high as it would go, and then just spin around in circles. lol yeah it sounds crazy but spin about 20 times both ways and just stare at the screen, then afterwards you will be able to lower it down a few and it will seem like its as low as possible.
Saw this video Friday then ordered on Prime. Said it would be here Sunday but they came the next day. As someone who kind of jumps out of excitement and shock, I tend to over throw my aim during shootouts in WZ, there's will definitely help.
The way I learned to play on a higher sense is just raising it up 2-3 points, waiting until I get comfortable with it, and then raising it 2-3 more points. I usually play anywhere between 16-20. If I go a long time without playing I may have to lower it down sometimes.
I've also noticed for myself if I put a little pressure on the right stick it helps a ton with recoil. Don't click it in but push it to where anymore pressure would make the click.
fps freeks are amazing. i took a 5 year break from cod and just started again this year so i lost all my controller skills now but i remember control freeks were game changing. i would play 10 (same as 20/20 now) sensitivity and the extra leverage was perfect for high sens. there's some mediocre clips on my youtube channel but i was so good at pubstomping in mw3 ffa that i literally would win 50 games in a row easily.

Not what I expected but this will help a lot of people. I already play on a 16-16 with a 0.80 multiplier on the low zoom and 1.20 on the high zoom for multiplayer, only thing is I switch to 0.60 for Warzone on the high zoom for the long shot snipes, I thought you meant it's a way to practice your aim on higher sensitivity that you can put it at 20-20 and not need KFs at all haha! Great information anyway tho, we have a guy in our squad that plays on a 3-3 and he just doesn't have the reactions time because of it at close range. Hope this helps him
If you play on a low sensativity play on a 0 deadzone on dynamic not LINEAR. You get more drift on linear than dynamic because of how the graph works. If you get a lot of drift on dynamic imput curve play on a .5 default deadzone. If you play on a high sensativity you could play at a .5 or .10 deadzone it doesn’t matter. One kontrol freak I recommend is the galaxy. Those are overated apparently but it comes with a mid rise and high rise stick. If you want to play linear with a higher deadzone it’s your choice over personal preference.

Turn off motion blur and film grain if you haven’t. Lower the blue light settings on either your tv/monitor. Lower the in game brightness and higher your tv/monitor’s brightness. Higher the sharpness. Turn on the last colorblind setting in game(the one that starts with a T) These have all helped with me.

Probably worth mentioning that the foam rings reduce the range of motion of your joystick(higher density foam = less range of motion). I tried them and wasn't a fan personally. I think if you wanna know the optimal setup/equipment just look at what most of the pros use: A controller with back paddles(or play claw) with thumbstick extentions 24 inch(i think) gaming monitor with low response time Good 7.1 surround sound headset Usually a decent third party router but it's not really necessary
Bro i got them yesterday and thats exactly the first thing that came to my mind. And i think people compensate for that by increasing sensitivity. And even then, you still wont be able to access the outer zone of the joystick motion range for quick 180 turns. I dont think i'll be using them again lol. Maybe for practice to just get my thumb muscles stronger

Used these foam rings for a while, they definitely help. Personally found 10mm Kontrol Freek too high, I know the Alpha's are only 4mm so might give them a try

@JGOD What do you use settings wise for ads multiplier? I took your advice and started using pretty much the exact same setup. Bumped my BR avg kd up by about 25% which is pretty good. But am having a hard time perfecting the recoil control and ads sens.
one thing you forgot to mention or test on this video is the hipfire.. on very high sens you lose control when hip firing because unlike ADS there isn't a hipfire sens multiplier. so what I would recommend is increase the sens to 20 then test your hipfire accuracy then lower it down until you feel comfortable enough and then set your ADS sens accordingly. I play at around 16-18 and ADS sens .80, .70 or even less based on your aim practice. Tho remember 2 things.. the aim assist will lower down the sens and the response curve will lower the sens too so keep that in mind and make sure to practice with bots to tune your sens on them. Also there is a small gap or dead-zone where the precision rings don't resist back so you may find yourself overcorrecting especially when the target is kind of far from you... I hope Jgod uploads another follow up on these rings...

I have tall domed stick on my right stick. But I have a black and purple ring on my right stick and I tried without it the other day and my aim was everywhere for a couple games. I wont ever play without the precision rings on my controller again. I love them

Ive started playing 16-16 sensitivity a week after the game came out. I didnt start up-ing my sensitivity till like the 5th day tho. What id recommend to increase your sensitivity is to just run maybe shoot house or shoot the ship and increase your sensitivity by 1 every game. I went from 8 to 16 my first day
Kontroll freaks are nice. I just use the long sticks on the scuf though. I have to try those control rings. I have been playing 20/20 for awhile now though. The rings may be helpful in warzone with 20/20 at range?
Great video as always JGod, I've seen a lot of suggestions recently where people have their sensitivity set high and their ADS sensitivity multiplier (low zoom) set lower so they can still make fine adjustments easier but still turn quickly. I'm just wonder what your thought on this theory is?
JGod, So I have an elite 2 Xbox controller. They do have stick tension adjustments available. I have adjusted it to the max tension. Playing on 20/20 sens, would you still recommend the tension rings?

Those control rings literally just make your sense lower so it’s not really playing on 20/20 you can still show that you’re playing on 20/20 but it’s not really the same.
Forces you to uso more strength to get to the edges, so u get a better control in the middle which is the hard part of using high sensivities, with then now u can control that middle range and still can get to the edges for a fast spin
It is 20/20 when using full force. However, when only pushing to the edge of the loop and not applying any extra force its about 6/6 -7/7. It's almost like you can switch sensitivity depending on the situation.
modern warfare is my fisrt cod since world at war, and you help me a lot, I went 12/12 the day you review mutex gameplay and his videos says he is in 20/20 0.80ads and I was shocked of his aim, but going from a 6/6 to 12/12 was not that hard and practice with bots really consistent, maybe one day I trie kontrolfreek
btw... I'm not sure this is true but I'm pretty confident you get more frames at higher sensitivity so you have more time to get your shots off. I don't have the technical ability to check it out but I've been playing on 18 horizontal 12 vert - to lock the horizontal pan - and just a kontrol freek analog extender. At low sens I seem to get corner hopped ALL THE TIME and way less at high sens. Gotta give the rings a try

For the eye strain maybe some blue light glasses? FOV on console can’t be helped unfortunately, maybe invest in a PC? Only solution really :(

Medium, concave kontrol freek on the right stick (the shorter one from the "galaxy" set seems to be the best), nothing on the left stick.

Also there is a small gap or dead-zone where the precision rings don't resist back so you may find yourself overcorrecting especially when the target is kind of far from you... I hope Jgod uploads another follow up on these rings...

I have tall domed stick on my right stick. But I have a black and purple ring on my right stick and I tried without it the other day and my aim was everywhere for a couple games. I wont ever play without the precision rings on my controller again. I love them
And then do we eventually put back on normal sensitivity? Or are you suggesting that 20/20 is the best setting for accuracy?

This why I like my Xbox elite 2 controller. It has 3 tenses you can use (soft, medium, and tight) in the sticks and the tall thumbstick.
Hey Jgod- what are you thoughts on the aim response curve type? What are the differences and best to use?
Ive started playing 16-16 sensitivity a week after the game came out. I didnt start up-ing my sensitivity till like the 5th day tho. What id recommend to increase your sensitivity is to just run maybe shoot house or shoot the ship and increase your sensitivity by 1 every game. I went from 8 to 16 my first day
should i use them for both thumbsticks or just the left one?
What controller are using? Do you have a back button? For jump ?
Kontroll freaks are nice. I just use the long sticks on the scuf though. I have to try those control rings. I have been playing 20/20 for awhile now though. The rings may be helpful in warzone with 20/20 at range?

Great video as always JGod, I've seen a lot of suggestions recently where people have their sensitivity set high and their ADS sensitivity multiplier (low zoom) set lower so they can still make fine adjustments easier but still turn quickly. I'm just wonder what your thought on this theory is?

JGod, So I have an elite 2 Xbox controller. They do have stick tension adjustments available. I have adjusted it to the max tension. Playing on 20/20 sens, would you still recommend the tension rings?

So I'm guessing you're sticking with the 20 20 using the ring or are you still more accurate with the usual 6 - 6 ?
Would increasing your deadzone really high have a similar effect to the resistance ring?

No. Deadzone is at what point your stick will register movement. Useful when there is an unintentional movement when your thumb is off the stick
Those control rings literally just make your sense lower so it’s not really playing on 20/20 you can still show that you’re playing on 20/20 but it’s not really the same.
It makes the range of motion much bigger so you can make finer movements
Forces you to uso more strength to get to the edges, so u get a better control in the middle which is the hard part of using high sensivities, with then now u can control that middle range and still can get to the edges for a fast spin
It is 20/20 when using full force. However, when only pushing to the edge of the loop and not applying any extra force its about 6/6 -7/7. It's almost like you can switch sensitivity depending on the situation.

Elite controller 2 has all these options built on to the controller, tentionable analog sticks, analogue spares to shorten or lengthen etc
I find it much better to play in low sensitivity in Warzone, it helps improve your accuracy in gunfights. a 4-4 is perfect for me.

btw... I'm not sure this is true but I'm pretty confident you get more frames at higher sensitivity so you have more time to get your shots off. I don't have the technical ability to check it out but I've been playing on 18 horizontal 12 vert - to lock the horizontal pan - and just a kontrol freek analog extender. At low sens I seem to get corner hopped ALL THE TIME and way less at high sens. Gotta give the rings a try
After watching this I moved my sens up to 8 before I was a 5 I love it now I feel more agile i play with a ps controller without anything on it
