I always enjoy visiting sandsend, I've had some great finds there this year including a lovely bone block and a full harpo so I'm always keen to return! Great video as always.
Great video mate, learnt even more! Just trying to get my eye in trying to figure out grey shale from jet rock. It's all just shades of gray to me which doesn't help!
You can tell by the nodules and the ammonite species. To just look at the shales is quite hard to distinguish although they are different and jet rock often has an oily petroleum smell

So typical of UK north sea shore line, I thought it was north Northumberland or Berwickshire.
