Lagunitas Brewing Company Tiki Fusion Zombie Cocktail Inspired IPA Review

Good if you want to get tore up real quick, but not if you want to enjoy the taste of what you're drinking. At least I didn't spit take this one.

The success of New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger line has caused all the major craft brewers to start producing sixers and stovepipes of ridiculously overproof "hazy" and flavored IPAs because they sell very well, particularly in markets like gas stations and corner stores where craft beer traditionally has trouble turning product.
Thing is, the vast majority of the stuff ranges from mediocre at best to absolute swill. It serves one purpose, to get you drunk quick and easy and it performs that task admirably well.
It's basically the craft equivalent of malt liquor or fortified wines.
I pray to God and all the Kami and Buddhas that this trend does not jump the Pacific to Japan, for it is truly awful.
