I think it is so sweet that Tahir is concerned over the weather in America, just as we were when the rains hit Pakistan . It just goes to prove that this has become much more than just a food tasting channel. Another dish that I've never managed to try , so nice to see Rana and Tahir back again.
Mr Tahir, it seems, has always been a kind and caring man. When he worried about us, my heart went out. When he offers his food, it's not a joke, it's an act of love.
Tahir was so worried about 2 foot of snow. As a kid near Chicago in 1967, I remember my dad DIGGING A TUNNEL in the snow to our elderly neighbors house just to make sure they were o.k.. The snow was OVER the roof of our house!! In 1978, I was shoveling snow off the roof of our building at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center because there was so much snow on top (nearly 6 ft) they feared the weight would collapse the building. 2 feet is NOTHING!! 🙂 Now in my 60's and in Tennessee, everything closes if they see a single snowflake in the air!!
Jamaican food is sooooo good... like literally everything I've ever tried lol! I'm originally from Jersey and this makes me miss home. We had some really good Jamaican restaurants. 😊

@@willmitchell2553 I don't believe it was actually ketchup, only somewhat resembled it as it was likely more of the jerk sauce, at least that was my read... they saw red sauce & figured it was ketchup.
@@ktkacer1039 Doesn't look like jerk seasoning paste at all. Could have been ketchup, or chili garlic sauce, which they seem to use frequently as well. Either way, an unnecessary condiment for an already deliciously perfect food.
I'm so happy that you guys did this dish. It's truly a fantastic blend of spices. Much like India and Pakistan, the spice routes of the Caribbean inspired such dishes as this. I bet a Jamaican food shop would do well in Pakistan!!

Nice to see them experiencing something from our region. Jamaica is close to America and is part of what is known as the Caribbean chain of Islands. We in Trinidad & Tobago are the last in the chain and close to Venezuela. Love how Tahir relates what's happening in America, Canada and upstate New York with the heavy snow fall. Very nice video as usual.

finally you have gotten to one of my favourite chicken dishes..Jamaican jerk chicken.I have been making this legendary Jamaican dish for over 15 years and I never get bored making it for family and friends...and I'm so pleased they are enjoying it.
Dr.Tahir is so kind to express his concern for the people of Canada and the US during that huge snowfall a few weeks ago... We're getting another big one right now... Maybe 40cm of snow. He can rest assured, however that the people of Jamaica will never deal with conditions like that, Jamaica is a tropical island.
It's so nice of Tahir to be concerned about the weather over here. I'min Québec, Canada and the December 23rd winter storm was scary. The St-Lawrence River came up into my yard, which it had never done in 100 years or more. It went down quickly, but the areas near the river were flooded and it was scary. 💜
@@Belle-ho5ng That's generally true everywhere, but the advantage of being in the 'States is that it's flooooded with "original" immigrants and Jamaica is no exception so we have access to the Same type of cuisine and ingredients as they do! 😉
@@nikkirockznikkirockz8551 I get you, I do, and could say the same as I live in the UK and there are loads of real Jamaicans here and in the US (including my relatives) but doesn’t compare to the real thing back home. It’s similar but not the same authentic flavour. There’s just something about the way it’s cooked in the barrel and seasoned with fresh ingredients, grown there that makes it like no other. You can import all the stuff and still doesn’t have the same flavours

I live in Detroit Michigan, and was part of the snowfall that was talked about (although we didn't see as much as Buffalo NY). Should of at least explained that Jamaica is a country. Also, it's a former British colony as is Pakistan & many south & eastern Indian's migrated there & took their spices with them. Which is why you'll find many familiar dishes there.

Honestly it's kinda refreshing and nice to see someone from a foreign country expressing concern for the US i only ever see/hear people talk bad about the US and the only time people are concerned is if it affects them like the economy and even then they still talk bad so it was really nice hearing him express genuine concern over the severe snow event happening so thank you for that I hope everything is going well over there 😊 Also I wonder with all this food they try and let's be honest some of this food they're trying is insanely delicious (assuming it was prepared well and fresh) if they go back home and remake any of these recipes lol

Hello from Buffalo! So nice that you are thinking of us. The blizzard snowed us in for a week but warm weather right afterwards melted all of it. Luckily my family and all my friends were safe. Now we just have normal snow - a few inches which is okay for us.
Surprised that Tahir mention Buffalo and the snow, I don't live there, but an hour away and we get all the snow as well we live on a snow ridge with Chautauqua Lake 2 miles north of us and Lake Erie 8 miles west of us and generally we get between 250-300 inches every winter. Jerk Chicken yum and whoever does the cooking nice job on most of your recipes. Someday it will be nice to see some of their food prepared. Blessings to all the production crew and cook as well as the 4 gentlemen and your families. 😊🇺🇲
Mr Tahir Mawab is tuned into world news on internet and social media very well as he knew of the major snow storms and blizzards we recently suffered in Canada. We have storms sometimes where the snow can be right up to the top of lamp poles with the blowing snow off the lake here in Ontario, Canada. I have been through snow storms that left 8 feet of snow in Montreal, Quebec. Could you mention that to Tahir.

One of my all time favourites! That's it I'm making jerk chicken tomorrow and having it with sweet potatoes. I actually love how they are being very analytical about this dish and seem to be able to relate to it more than some other stuff they've been offered. Totally love Tahir's advice that if the weather is rubbish don't go out 🤣, I'm with you there Mr Tahir!
If you add rice and plantains it is a meal that will fill you up. Im glad you guys liked it. Jerk chicken can be made with medium spice. But sometimes it can be really spicy.
I love the different personalities. The one guy always comments on the health effects of food, he other analyses the spices and flavours and the third just straight feasts and enjoys himself. Amazing stuff. 😂😂
Enjoyed the video but, jerk is not served with ketchup. To truly have jerk, one must have it cooked over green pimento/allspice wood, Ideally, served with hard dough bread or festival(sweet fried corn bread). Its nice to see other cultures enjoying our food. Bless.

Actually Jamaican jerk chicken has a lot of influence from the Indian Sub Continent. Many of the spices used to make the dish are spices that originally came from the Indian Sub Continent. These spices were then taken by the British to the Caribbean and adopted by the Afro Caribbean populations they brought to the Caribbean. Furthermore, there was a huge Indian Sub Continent diaspora that was also taken by the British to the Caribbean and their cuisine greatly also influenced Caribbean culinary.

Shaivite Hindus introduced ganja to Jamaica also but the flavor profiles are similar.

Surprised that Tahir mention Buffalo and the snow, I don't live there, but an hour away and we get all the snow as well we live on a snow ridge with Chautauqua Lake 2 miles north of us and Lake Erie 8 miles west of us and generally we get between 250-300 inches every winter. Jerk Chicken yum and whoever does the cooking nice job on most of your recipes. Someday it will be nice to see some of their food prepared. Mr Tahir Mawab is tuned into world news on internet and social media very well as he knew of the major snow storms and blizzards we recently suffered in Canada. We have storms sometimes where the snow can be right up to the top of lamp poles with the blowing snow off the lake here in Ontario, Canada. I have been through snow storms that left 8 feet of snow in Montreal, Quebec. Could you mention that to Tahir.

One of my all time favourites! That's it I'm making jerk chicken tomorrow and having it with sweet potatoes. I actually love how they are being very analytical about this dish and seem to be able to relate to it more than some other stuff they've been offered. If you add rice and plantains it is a meal that will fill you up. Im glad you guys liked it. Jerk chicken can be made with medium spice. But sometimes it can be really spicy.

Enjoyed the video but, jerk is not served with ketchup. To truly have jerk, one must have it cooked over green pimento/allspice wood, Ideally, served with hard dough bread or festival(sweet fried corn bread). Its nice to see other cultures enjoying our food. Bless.

Odd he should say that about tomatoes, they were considered toxic in Europe for centuries because of their similarity to Deadly Nightshade.
Actually Jamaican jerk chicken has a lot of influence from the Indian Sub Continent. Many of the spices used to make the dish are spices that originally came from the Indian Sub Continent.
These spices were then taken by the British to the Caribbean and adopted by the Afro Caribbean populations they brought to the Caribbean.
Furthermore, there was a huge Indian Sub Continent diaspora that was also taken by the British to the Caribbean and their cuisine greatly also influenced Caribbean culinary.
