Yes it was. Please how did you pay CNO to send your documents to CGFNS. I just started the process and I have mailed the form from CFGNS to CNO and my school
Already sent this video to all my aspiring travel nursing friends 🙏🏾🙏🏾 you’re AMAZING! I hope you’re having a blast down there. I would love to see a vlog of your experience 🎉🎉🎉❤️
WOOW thank you so much Esther ! Girl I was doing the most in the beginning now I’m really just curating my routine, resting and going to work 😅 in the works of filming a day in the life though ! Thanks again ❤️
Righttt! Made this video cause when I was looking for information nothing was making sense or clear. If there’s any other questions you have around travel nurse let me know, I’m in the process of making more video ! Thank you for watchingggg❤️❤️
Yes! We love a queen who’s clear, concise and to the point! I’m relieved to hear you spent only $980 CAD because I was mentally preparing to drop thousands. Like $2500-$4000😂😭
At the time I thought that was a lot ! No way you’re spending 2K ! I feel like you spend the most money when you actually start an assignment cause you need to move and find housing and what not
Great question because I got confused looking at there website and actually paid $500 for the CES report only to find out I didn’t need it! So girl no look at what’s pending on your Texas nurse portal and only complete those things
You can atomically become a travel nurse depending on where you go! But most people just required 1-2 years of nursing experience in the area you want to travel in
Thank you so much for providing us with this information! I want to know...is there any way you can apply to the state of California without having to apply for another state license to get your SSN? Is there another way to get your SSN I hear that in order to apply for a job in California you need your SSN?
@@allthingsdami Thanks! I'm heading to Reno, NV in a couple of weeks and this was a question that no one seemed to be able to answer for me. I do know that the TN Visa is only good for one company. If I get a job with another agency, then I need a new visa. I understand there is no limit to the number of TN Visas you can hold.
@@FuzzMa1 exactly you’ll get a new one regardless for different agencies but just incase I come back to this agency next year I won’t need another one ! Happy to help ! All the best in Reno 🙌🏾✨
Hey! I’m having a lot of issues with the Texas Nursing Portal where you actually start the application process for the license. Whenever I click on Licensure through Endorsement, nothing is prompting me to start the application. Did you have any issues with this or the portal in general?
Sorry your going through that Shannon! Will it allow you to create an account first and then open and application for the licensure through endorsement ?
Hello Thanks for info … But i asked CNO for filling the form they said they can only send verification of registration but not the forms .They said we are not filling any forms .. How can i ask them to do that ?
Hey I’m so sorry that happened too you. I just applied for my NY License and had to send CNO forms to fill out and had no problem. I send an email to cno@cnomail.org with my name, cno registration number and state my request.
Any word on how to apply for a California license? I'm asked to make a account with BreEZe account in order to apply for a lisence and am asked for a SSN number before I can even submit the application
Exactally that ! You apply through BreEZe and you need a SSN and you’ll do your background check and verify your licenses and schooling. BUT I have learned it can be kinda confusing I’m still in the process and making sure the BON has everything myself so when I get it right I’ll share for sure 😭
Honestly girl, I'm worried about the racism and dealing with that among staff. I work in a large teaching hospital in Peel region and I'm used to my staff being super diverse. I don't wanna go somewhere and I'm the only black nurse 😭
A very valid fear ! I thought the same thing even though my former hospital wasn’t as diverse and I was clearly a minority in the staffing population. Honestly I would advise you to get comfortable standing out and being different. You’ll need that anywhere you go!
One thing I did to ensure I wasn’t going to experience crazy racism was to pick hospitals in bigger cities and research the town, hospital and surrounding population
@@allthingsdami that's so true, definitely looking into working in larger cities for sure. would love a video on how you chose housing, transportation, etc while being a Canadian in the US. oh, and what's your speciality area?
@@nythebest1 hey I just posted a video about travel nursing apartment tour and shared where I went to find it ! And I work in the NICU ! What’s yours ?
I opened an American account at my current bank and thy had the option for cross boarder banking so I actually have an American debit and credit card on top of that. Also you can 100% drive to any of you’re contracts!
Hey Alyson, I have a Canadian RBC account. They have a US affiliate (US RBC). I also got a US visa credit card and debit card. They link the 2 accounts in one online account.
Was this helpful? If you're Canadian what agency did you use to find your first contract in the states ?

Is there a special course for a travel nurse or a registered nurse can automatically become one after your application at the board of nurses??

Thanks, lady, am a Ghanaian-trained nurse, does this process apply to us Ghanaians or this is only for you Canadians?

Yes you can depending on the agency ! I had to be with my agency for 2 assignments to get it reimbursed but it happened !
Please do you know anyone who did a diploma in nursing from a Canadian College and now works as a travel nurse in the states?

Great video. Did your employer's letter request a 3 yr TN Visa, or is this just what Immigration gave you?
Good question ! It’s what the immigration agent gave to me but I was also asked so I went with the max
