Bio: Wajahat S. Khan is an Emmy-nominated journalist and author reporting on Indo-Pacific security and focusing on the Af-Pak conflict. An Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center of Global Affairs and non-resident Senior Fellow at Washington’s Atlantic Council, Khan is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism and the University of Michigan, as well as Pakistan’s only Shorenstein Fellow for Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has reported from 16 countries covering conflict, diplomacy, and media for digital, cable and network news. During the final years of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, Khan was bureau chief in Kabul and Islamabad for NBC News, and embedded with over a hundred NATO, Afghan, Indian and Pakistani military and paramilitary units as he covered South Asia for leading US, British, Indian, Japanese and Pakistani networks and publications since the beginning of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. You can't restore something that never existed, Pakistan needs it military to head back to the barracks and the judiciary to be cleaned up only then can a democracy function in Pakistan.

I am imran Khan supporter, even though I am 65 lived in uk for 45 years, it really shouldn't affect me, but our families and the coming generations will be in Pakistan, what kind of freedom will they have,

Message for Dr Asif . Thank you for all that you have done and are doing for Pakistan. In all this we must not forget Arshad Sharif, Maqsood chaprasi, Dr Rizwan and mysterious ,untimely deaths of many people investigating the cases of the Sharif / Zardari family . So i take exception to his saying all politicians are equally good on their own. Establishment colludes where it can to facilitate these happenings and no one is held accountable ever. People of Pakistan are the voice of our national conscience and we are clamouring to be heard. Like Hamlet's father's ghost we want justice.

Thanks Wajahat. Being from Srinagar hv always wondered who was the man behind 2019 congressional hearing in the US for Kashmir. Unfortunately Pakistani media has never introduced such great people to us . For your information India at that time even snapped TV connections and put on a blanket ban on people who were selling satellites. I somehow managed to get one for me to watch prisoner number 865s speech at the UN...thanks much for introducing Dr Asif to me.
