The video felt a bit rushed, like he didn't spend enough time on the script or editing. I've got the same Rachio and was wondering if Jason ever went back to using his Rachio or stayed with this? I assume he went back but if he did.... Why?
Also, why no look at the app's interface? Is it Home Assistant-friendly?

In the video, near the beginning, I said, "that single feature alone made me go back to my old system". I just realized that what I said before that, which included a comment on it not working with home assistant, did not get clipped in. I went on a rant about it and wanted to tone it down in editing and apparently just ended up completely screwing it up lol. The taping part was because I knew it didnt work with HA so it wasnt going to stay hooked up and thus did not deserve drilling holes.
Also, you're right about it being rushed. The company constantly emailed me about updates on when the video will be done so I finally just said screw it, I'll throw something together to shut them up and move on. Then I gave the system away to a neighbor because my Rachio worked with Home Assistant lol
It sucks, but for me, when a company is up my ass every other day my production mentality drops to crap. But companies like the Ecotric ebike video I made, they were super chill about letting me take my time and make a proper video. So I was able to feel more creative and enjoyed making it.

100% the Rachio. I gave this unit away to my neighbor because it doesn't connect to home assistant lol
