Ditto, I’ve been interested in content creation and was hoping to get these over the Insta 360 Go 3. The audio and video quality seem more than sufficient for the field recording that I’m interested in. Hopefully it’s just a software restriction and not a hardware limitation. There was rumor to be overheating (or at least running hot) when users recorded for longer periods of time (multiple 60 second videos in succession). If they lift the limitation and allow landscape recording, I plan on purchasing a pair of these glasses.
I thought the same thing until I got them.. now if it recorded landscape I would agree but since it records vertically one minute has been perfect.. plus it makes download from glasses to phone way smoother
ok so who cares about tehe record limit, you can add these clips together in piost so easy. Or is there a big delay during ending an starting the new clip?@@scizzahands

Meta can really shine with this, when - they enable landscape mode, - recording time up to 10min maybe - and why not some little features, like iso and shutterspeed ,.. this will be perfect for so many yt creator 🙈
@@astaelastael5912Landscape makes sense if you can record longer than 1 minute. Also to stream live to youtube but they are only developing these to work on Meta platforms unfortunately.
I think I'd be interested in the glasses for the audio capabilities, but the video actually looks quite impressive (at least compared to my expectations).
The video duration is painful and the lack of landscape recording makes me cry. All things said I started a youtube channel because I have these glasses. Desperately hoping for improvements to fix this or some good quality comparable product.
Just got my Metas today. Sadly trying to connect them to the Meta View app and updating for the first time the update fails and I can’t get into the app to use them for video. Right now they are just a pair of sunglasses with speakers in them. I’m guessing it’s trying to update straight to V2, and maybe the version from the factory isn’t compatible.

Agreed. I am willing to bet that it is more of a technical limitation. Maybe the hardware heats up too much when it records for long periods. Not sure if that's true or not. Hopefully, they can figure this out.

So you can record like 5 minutes but the only problem is thst you get 5x 60 sec clips? Is this true?

I bought for the video function and now I can't live without them at work for calls. So much better than buds.

if they enable horizontal shooting ill buy it. if not i wont.

To be honest not yet. There is at least a 1 second start delay but that’s all I’ve experienced
I had to return mine because i later discovered that they only work with select Apple, Google and Samsung phones.

They only work with select phones. Do you have a compatable phone?

They should not limit, or control the user. It is very lame. Such as the short recording duration, definitely need to increase it.
