Or maybe he was joking about it and not being defensive
I don’t consider it defensive. It’s light hearted and he is taking up for his players rather than being defensive. Nothing wrong with that. He did the same type of thing with Jordan Thompson last season. I really regret so many still hold some sort of dislike towards Jay Johnson. I think he is a wonderful coach.
