Hi I have some not so great news. There will be no second an third video for this Beelink U59, because I ran into an issue where the bios is not letting me install Android X86. And when I install FydeOS the Android subsystem won't activate. It was later confirmed by Beelink that Android is not allowed on this model. What's the reason? I did not get one. What do you guys make of this?
Well folks another big step for Beelink !!! This model has 4K HDR / Dolby Atmos / DTS-X / Dolby TrueHD / HDCP 2.2 for Netflix on HD/4K / 3-Way display and much more. Look forward to part 2, let's see what happens under Android.

Yes I have, but Beelink said that the BIOS does not allow booting to Linux distros or ChromOS distros and that a bummer. I searched for a Bious update but nothing. If you find anything let me know becaus I don't have time.
Hello friend, I have the Beelink U59 and Im gonna pick up the same reciever as you have in this video, it seems a good bang for the buck. How are your Beelink connected to the Reciever and then forward to the Tv? Do you use HDMI ARC on TV? I have older TV so no "e-Arc" on this. Thanks
PC HDMI out to receiver HDMI in. HDMI out from receiver to TV HDMI in. Set receiver to play audio only through its speakers and bypass audio to TV at the same time or else you will not get surround sound formats. Also set receiver's speaker configuration to 5.1 or 7.1 depending on what speakers you have.
very useful information, i enjoyed viewing your detailed video. do all beelink mini pc's with amd ryzen have surround sound through their hdmi? i am searching one that offer windows 11, ddr4 ram, ssd BUT i find the details i search online is conflicting!!! HELP?

Do you know which of the Beelink mini computers offer support for Dolby Atmos and the other audio configurations? Also, how did you have to reconfigure the "speaker configuration" in your Sony receiver as you mention in another video, to obtain the appropriate processing? Thanks!
In the AV settings which can be a bit challenging to navigate, you have to go under HDMI settings and change the configuration from outputting to both TV and AV simultaneously, and change it to output through the AV only. I make it sound easy but the menu can be a pain to navigate. On the remote press AMP Menu. Scroll up or down until you see HDMI press enter. Scroll up or down until you see AUDIO.OUT and hit enter. Scroll up or down to change the menu from either AMP which is the amplifier alone, or TV+AMP which is TV and AMP simultaneously. Select AMP and press the back button until you exit the settings area. This way it only sees the receiver. Then under Windows type in advanced sound settings and select the receiver and choose configuration and change from stereo to 7.1. In the speaker configuration set it to 7.1. Don't select Dolby Atmos or it will stay in Dolby Atmos. 7.1 or 5.1 depending on your speaker configuration. When you play Dolby or DTS it will be displayed on your AV receiver. Selecting the Dolby will strictly output Dolby. On this receiver while playing a video, using the remote switch between Multi-Speaker and Front Surround to get TrueHD and DD+ process and display on the receiver's LCD screen.
@@tvboxstop Thanks! I’ve spent hours trying to configure my Yamaha Receiver to get an Atmos setup and agree it can be challenging. Do you know if most newer Beelink computers with onboard Realtek will output Atmos with the Dolby Access on the Microsoft Store? Thanks again!
It you are looking for a mini-PC whether Beelink or other model. To get surround sound audio formats you should look at the Intel Iris models or the Ryzen series models. Models running Intel Celeron will not give you this
For that price? Yes. I don't know if it will outperform your Intel i5 3740 desktop as this mini-PC runs on an Intel Celeron CPU. The high-end models running Intel core i5 or Ryzen 5 are three times the amount

Yes, I have tested and it plays a 4K videos from my 4 TB hard drive. So your good to go the default movie player has issues so I recommend that you use the VLC player to play 4K videos.
Hi I can get 5.1 surround sound from hdmi only using local files, not using streamnig apps such as Disney or Amazon Prime. I tried updating audio driver but without success. Any idea? thank you
In the streaming app change the default media player to one that supports surround sound audio. For example, the VLC player. And in the settings area of the VLC photo audio settings and enable audio passthrough. There are other media players way you can do the same such as the MX player, Nova 7 player, and you can even see if there is the option to use the box's movie player as it to can play surround sound formats.
first let me say thank you for the great reviews. i would like to ask you if you do indeed connect these devices by ethernet to confirm they do indeed have gigabit ethernet ports. i have bought 2 boxes recently that claimed 1000m lan and they were not. i know this because i do have an old h96 max that does have 1000m lan and when i connect to the same cable i cannot get close to the same speed. i want to get a new "budget " box just for streaming from youtube and apps, but i dont want to waste money on another box that can only stream at less than 100mbs. buffering sucks my friend...lol..i am trying to use your ranking chart as a guide to find such a box that fits my budget. you have a column for lan mbs but im not sure how to follow it. some say max while others have a percentage and others just a number. so far i have identified the x96 x4 as a contender
First of all this is a Windows Mini PC not a TV box, and I do perform LAN test on them to confirm weather they a GB or not. My Internet network is currently 250Mbps before it was 150Mbps. So once the test crosses 100Mbps and achieves 100% of my network speed in is safe to say it's GB LAN port. If the LAN port is not GB then it will not cross 100Mbps and it will be around 90Mbps. So that what the TV box chart means by the lower percentage.
@@tvboxstop thank you for the reply. is "max" and 100% not the same thing ? the ugoos am6 plus just says "110" , does that mean you only got 110 mbs ? the xmax tv box says "31%" does that mean you got 31% of 250 mbs ? sorry i am still confused. please excuse my ignorance.
@@masterofpuppets2004 Yes I started using percentages to give accurate values. At the time of making this video my speed was 150Mbps so the percentages are based on that.
Yes great under windows, but I ran into a brick wall with the Android X86 and FydeOS. The bios is not letting me install them. I am waiting for tech support from Beelink.
There is a way to do it that is difficult to explain in the comments. I need to make a video demonstrating how to import EFi keys into the safe boot and then saving and exporting to the Android X86 installation disk to bypass the bios restriction.
@@tvboxstop from what looking I did it seems to me 2.1 does offer a higher bandwidth 18 GB's for 2.0 vs 48 GB's for 2.1 From TechRadar eARC ups the bandwidth significantly,” says Park. “Previously you were limited to two-channel PCM or legacy Dolby Digital or DTS audio, but with eARC that reverse channel can now support much higher bandwidth audio including Dolby True HD, DTS HD, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and other object-based audio at much higher bandwidths."
