you said it perfectly. went through a bad break up once and acted like everything was fine it started to give me horrible anxiety when I finally broke down and cried like a baby and just let it all out it and accepted it I felt like I removed a dump truck off of me the next day , it nothing wrong with it being a guy its hard to show emotions alot of times but it is really good for your soul I think when you have a moment like that ......

You have no idea how this affected me. I recently had a break up with a guy i was with for almost half a year. Its horrible but being with him made me realize he was the first person i ever loved. I couldn't deal with it and it tore me apart to the point i returned to a habit he helped me break. He saved me from myself and i almost destroyed myself again. A couple of nights ago i had a dream that i was crying myself to sleep again and he walked into my room and held me until i felt ok. Waking up crying has suddenly saved me from crying myself to sleep. The irony. He saved me again and he didnt have to do a thing.
I know a lot of people are writing personal things and no one cares, but this song reminds me of a guy I really loved... he sank deeper and deeper into depression and spent months in and out of psych wards for repeated suicide attempts. I tried to help him... let him know someone was there for him. He stopped talking to me after I started drinking... I just hope he's okay. I miss him.

Among other things...I think maybe she left partially because our marriage was improving. And it scared her. You may have strong feelings for that person...but no matter what you do or say, if they don't want that intimacy...it just won't happen. It really hurts to walk away...I'm still pretty down about it myself. But I've come to believe that the potential you see with this person...the things you love...may not be this person at all. But someone entirely different. Someone out there who is looking for the same thing. And maybe if you're open to it...but feel comfortable with yourself...you might stumble upon them.

@@nicoler3499 Yeah, the first few months were all about being sad, constantly thinking about it and trying to not think about it at the same time. But then I tried to focus on my studies, work out and mostly go out with my friends. I pushed myself to get out and have fun even on days when I was not feeling like it... and I slowly stopped thinking about him everyday. A part of him will always be with me. Always. But it does not hurt anymore. I turned the love I had for him into love that I now have for myself

I’m not the biggest Lumineers fan, but it’s not hard to tell that this song is special.
So this song, means a lot. I may be young but I still have feelings, and I hate it that some people think i wouldnt. This reminds me of someone.... and I dont know rather to love or dislike this song at times because this brings back so much happiness and memories,but it let's me feel that hope again. That hope that he will change, love, and come back. I dont want to hang on longer because it's already been a year... but I just miss old times. Everything went downhill. He was my light,and now I'm sitting in darkness. Please tell me I'm not alone.

The catch of the story, I'm in the military thousands of miles away, and she lives with another man now. But we still write each other, and she acts like she's not with him. Premise of the story love makes you do crazy shit, just keep your head up and do what makes you happy. One day everything will straighten out and you'll be alright. Atleast I'll surprise her with flowers when I come home and maybe she'll think twice.

Hard to find a Lumineers song that can’t make me cry, nor is a walk in the park to find one that can’t sound fire sped slightly up making it sound like a killer ass banjo solo half the song.
This song just hits me every time when I listen to it. To be honest I think if you ever did listen to that song then you have someone in mind that you think of... well same here. That song just reminds me of my situation :( , I did hurt her and I didn't want to but when I wanted to change the situation it was too late , I spent long nights up by lying in my bed , with tears in my eyes... she means so much to me and if I would ever have a chance to talk to her again I would be the happiest person , I would apologize and I would thank for God to give me a chance to talk to her again. I don't know if she cares or not but I can promise I will never hurt her again , never ever again. When I was talking to her the time went very fast it was peace in my soul and around me... I was an idiot when I did hurt her. If I would can turn back time everything would be the same... I am very sorry.
