- In April of 2022, this bike will complete 17 years with me. Though not in daily service for a few years now, it still rides nicely.
All parts still stock, including the clutch. At the time of making this video, this has a lowly 25,700 KMs on the odometer. The stock electric start still works. Even the kick start is nice and effortless.

You are right. Somehow the newer gen/newer shapes being sold under the Pulsar brand don't evoke the same reaction. Wish they bring back the classic looks with their 250 engine.

Even now I have same ug2 driven about 4.5 lakhs km, happy to drive now also, but spares are not previous quality,,
Are you even able to find spares ? I am having trouble finding stuff here in Pune, or my nearby mechanics are plain lazy and unwilling to take the effort. After idling for over 2.5 years my attempts to bring it back to life are halted by lack of mechanic and their willpower :-(.

I have same UG1 Pulsar
Yours is a UG2 not UG1 bike.
UG1 is dts-i Pulsar with spoke wheels which is the first Pulsar to sport a DTS-I engine.

Currently I put in about half a can of LiquiMoly 4T shooter every few months, which seems to solve the fueling hesitancy due to long periods of disuse on my bike.
@@sajo21 abro oil treatment mixing with synthetic oil makes engine oil even more smoother no overheating issues .. and no rattling and knocking sound use it once with 150 ml where it's available for 334 rupees 300 ml tin you will know it for sure 😊

After 17.5 years of owning it, I run out of confidence and road ~90kmph. When it was new, and I was younger, it used to hit 105+ before the windblast used to make it unrideable.

@@sajo21 yes regular use it's running perfect i gave a ride of my bike to a guy who has same model bike he was shocked to ride my bike bcz he said that my bike is performing when it was like a new bike my bike engine has not opened even once 1 lakh + clocked but the guy who rode my bike said he isn't happy with his bike his bike engine is opened for 5 times but it's not good like mine
@@sajo21 i really love to ride my bike bcz many people watch my bike as if it's antique piece and keep on praising me the way I maintained even traffic police praised me for my maintenance of my bike
I found out that pulsar engine requires 1.2 litre engine oil (1 litre synthetic and 200ml semi synthetic oil) especially my bike i add abro oil treatment 150 ml no rattling sound or overheating issues infact my bike performs even more smoothly if it's in optimum temperature
@@rambo_2697 Excellent! In my area, its difficult to find mechanics who are trusted and do not rip you off..! They start salivating the moment they see an old bike, and dream about multitude of ways in which they can milk the owner. Might have start doing basic servicing myself.
