- Autoglym New Advanced Wheel Cleaner Tested - Better Then Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel? In this video i will be testing out Autoglym new wheel cleaner for 2024! I have been lucky enough to be involved with the research team looking into new products. Part of there research was done at my home, where they watched my clean process and talked about products i used. Now they have two new products, which have come from this research and as a thank you i received them to try for myself.
Here a link to the products here - www.autoglym.c...

I'd be interested in seeing how this product performs on the vehicle bodywork in place of the Magma Iron remover. Clearly it has Iron remover in it, so in theory it should do the job.
Thanks for watching! I wouldn't recommend this product on the paint work of the car, it has wheel cleaning ingredients in this product which should only be used on the wheels. Definitely just keep too magma iron remover which is designed for both 👍
You showed different technics on same car, this is great for beginers to get ideas, great video! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for watching and glad you found it useful 👍
Looked great, the level of clean for no agitation at all caught me out too, it is a great product. It looks like some of the beneficial cling and resulting contact time that was achieved by applying it to the dry wheel was lost a little by applying the Auto Foam over the top - that seemed to wet the surface more and drag the wheel cleaner off more quickly, reducing the contact time with the wheel. Application to a dry wheel and agitation results in it foaming up nicely as you saw in your third application method - I have also found it a great tyre cleaner too.
Thanks for watching Mark. It definitely did surprise me, such good cleaning power. I agree, it did lose some of the clinging power when topped with a snow foam and I used it again the next day with the same process as the bottle as I feel it definitely works the best when applied to a dry wheel. Ok good to know for the tyres, I will try next time. Thanks again for the comment 💪
Turn the nozzle 180’ and it should change from a jet to a spray pattern.
@@MySkyranger on autoglym bottles it doesn't work. I tried it, turning it 180° and it did nothing. Thanks for watching 👍
Brilliant, getting some. Cool video 👌
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it 👍
I think you'll find the nozzle has a 'spray' position and a 'stream' position with 'off' in between.
Thanks for watching! Not on this bottle, it just has a on and off position, I believe all the autoglym triggers are like this but as this product is thicker it comes out like this 👍
....boy.. with we had this stuff in Canada.. they pulled out of our market this year... stocking up all I can on stuff on clearance.
Thanks for watching! That's a shame, it's such a great product, definitely get as much as you can in 💪💪
Great vid. May have to give it a go. Got a set of filthy wheels that need a clean.👍
Definitely give it ago! Thanks for watching 👍
Great video I do like a bleeding wheel cleaner, I'm a huge fan of magic from koch and also gyeon wheel cleaner iron, theses products should be applied dry or its a waste
Thanks mate. Yes I do like them too, I haven't tried magic from Koch yet but heard good things. I agree as when I applied it to the dry wheel it worked so much better and was definitely wasted when put on with the snow foam. Thanks for watching 👍
How about Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus or Beast?
Thanks for watching! I've tried wheel cleaner plus before but not Beast. Wheel cleaner plus is up there with them, was a very good product and has also strong cleaning power but just prefer either auto wheel or this new product from Autoglym. Can't comment on the beast wheel cleaner but I might try in the future for sure 👍
Leave the Autoglym product to do its thing - no need to put all the other products on there!
Thanks for watching! Yes I agreed, I showed this in the first test but wanted to see if it worked as well with the way I normally clean the wheels. But this product works on a dry wheel a lot better and other products actually diluted it down. But that's what the video is about, testing to see how it works and in different scenarios 👍
What brush are you using?
Vikan wheel brush, it's really good and super soft so can be used on alloys as well. Thanks for watching 👍
??? Is it a vikam
@@gdougie2080 it's spelt vikan here a link www.amazon.co.uk/Vikan-525252-Cleaner-Length-Height/dp/B004JUGF7E/ref=asc_df_B004JUGF7E/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310493449173&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1510847041516165503&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006764&hvtargid=pla-332550757589&psc=1&mcid=19af50c4528a32ac8ee93ddc045b48fc&th=1&psc=1
Thanks pal, been after one that’s not too clunky
@@gdougie2080 no worries, it's a really good brush 👍
My Qashqai wheels are absolutely filthy and covered in brake dust which is almost glued on to the alloy, would this remove it?
Thanks for watching! It would remove alot of it but you will need to agitate the products with brushes to remove the heavy baked on brake dust 👍
Cheers, I’ll definitely try some..
Soooo what's the verdict, let it dwell on there then agitate with a brush once all the dirt is soft for the best result? As you said earlier in the video you don't like to agitate it before rinsing it.
Thanks for watching! So for this product it works best that way when you let it dwell on the wheel and then agitate it. But tbh the product is so good you can just rinse off anyways. I normally like to pre wash & rinse my wheel as i don't want to risk marking my style wheels but if they are just your normal sliver alloys then it would normally be fine to just agitate. I guess it just comes down to personal preference what works best for yourself 👍
@@the_jnlt_channel to be honest I'm not super OCD about this stuff and I know it's gonna get dirty as soon as it's driven anyway, so this is probably a good product for me without agitating to save me time.
@@scott-88 it's a great product and definitely will do the job. There is another great wheel cleaner which will also do the same sort of job and you might want to check it out. I did a test for this one as well, here is a link to it as it might be of interest to you 👍 ua-cam.com/video/q1IqzHPuENs/v-deo.htmlsi=1-285jOi20qJnipF
I love Bilt Hamber, but it absolutely stinks like ass 🤢. If this is a good, I'd use it over BH purely for the lack of stench .
Thanks for watching! I agree Bilt Hamber does smell strong, this one definitely smells less potent for my experience. That's why I probably would go for this also as my go to wheel cleaner from now on 👍
Really good content, Jason, very thorough indeed. Ive never reslly had a wheel cleaner in this format, i usually simply use a prewash and a wheel shampoo, but then my wheels are never that filthy. This is definitely a product to have onnthe shelf for the odd occasion I get a car with minging wheels. Re the triggers, i think it's fair to stay thst AG always use pants triggers 😅
Thanks Lee. Yeah for cleaner wheels you can use the method you say about, this product is for them really bad wheels and is definitely a good product to have available. Yeah sometimes the triggers work ok but on this thick product not so much. Their interior shampoo trigger works well, may swap it over and see how it works with a mist like trigger haha. Thanks for watching Lee and your support as always 💪
Great showcase of the product mate, very informative!
Thanks for watching mate 💪
Really dirty wheels... dude thats nothing, try it on my M4 wheels after a track day. Thats the test!
Thanks for watching! These were pretty bad, but obviously could be worse wheels out there. More then welcome to bring it over to me to clean 🤣
BH Surfex HD can be used as a wheel/tyre wall cleaner. It's highly effective at 10%.
Yes I've used it before, just got to be careful with Surfex as it is a very strong product! Thanks for watching 👍
@@the_jnlt_channelI seen someone use it undiluted somewhere before on the interior 😂
@@CL4SSiCS 🤦🏻😂 must be crazy haha!
Brush really makes a difference, I'm not a fan of contactless washing
Thanks for watching! Yeah it really does 💪
Cool review👍👍👍 Wonder if you can dilute it down for the exterior?
Thanks for watching! It says it can't be diluted and also has wheel cleaning ingredients in the product, so I wouldn't recommend it for the paintwork but could be a question for autoglym but I would guess it's not suitable 👍
Looks really good! 😊 excellent demo of the product
Thanks for watching 💪
Can't argue with that. Very potent product for sure.
Thanks for watching mate 💪
Works really well, im going to get it, thanks for the video review 👍🏻
Definitely recommend it, thanks for watching 👍
Nice work. Excellent demo there for us. I'd love it if AG actually wrote on their website description 'its on a par with BH Autowheel.' 😅
I mean, its a huge compliment.
Thanks again
No worries at all, glad you enjoyed it! Ahh imagine haha, but to be fair to the product it is very good better than I thought it would be! Thanks for watching 👍
Great test. Looks like a great product!
Thanks for watching mate 👍
Great vid looks good mate 💪💪
Thanks for watching mate 💪
@@the_jnlt_channel no problem mate
Great results
