Sometimes things happen and we think it’s the end of the world and really it’s a blessing in disguise we just haven’t seen it yet. People are afraid of change and sometimes we will never ever make that change unless it’s forced upon us like now and now it gives you the opportunity like he said to reset and start something new something that maybe you wouldn’t have done before and you will realize down the road that it was a blessing in disguise and wish that maybe you would’ve changed years ago. Prior to COVID I was having a tough time in life but slowly overcoming. When this happened I immediately said there is opportunity here and I am going to embrace it. Prior to COVID I said, man if I could just have 30 days off from work with pay, I would be a new person. Hi Derrick, This video comes to me in a time of alot uncertainty for me. I've been working for a Coffee Company for 19 yrs and 14 of those years managing a store in midtown Manhattan. My store was recently temporarily closed and I'm unemployed. My job is secured and I will be called back. Not knowing when is nerve wrecking. My purpose is alot alike yours. I would live and breathe for my employees (partners) and customers. The connections we build with them are genuine. I've decided to stop regretting my mistakes and start writing again. I've now grown a following on Mirakee (a writing platform) from under 40 followers to now over 160 followers in just 2 weeks, just from posting my write-ups and poetry every moment inspiration hits. I am so proud to be writing again and connecting with a writing community like I never have before.
