Those were wonderful moments when you shared your personal wishes and aspirations to own certain models. When I was about your age I had almost zero net worth, drove a 20 year-old, constantly overheating Honda, and so on. Now I drive an AMG S63 and it comprises a tiny fraction of my net worth. Hard work, charisma, sincerity, and a bit of guile at times... it got me there and I would say it could easily get you there. You have what it takes. Just keep going forward. You won't know where it is taking you, but doors will open along the way and they will welcome you because of who you are as a person. All the best!

I looked at both a 2024 SLE350 W4 AMG Mercedes-Benz and an AMG. The AMG was more expensive and I decided to purchase The Mercedes AMG, and save the money to repave my drivway!!!
Hi Nick We are in the UK and have just bought a 2020 GLE premium plus and have learned SO much from your fabulous videos, thank you We have the dash cam enabled Is it possible to play music via a memory stick and also record dash cam footage as well (either on separately or on one stick?) Love the channel. I want to know the difference in suspension. My AMG-line GLB has active dampers. Some others have air shocks. What does all that mean? What's the difference?
Think it just depends on the model Mercedes offer a variety of Premium models and then ultra luxury models. You’ll usually find on the higher end there might be air suspension etc but then that’s more for “floating” across the road. The fact that it’s adjustable is pretty cool! Not many cars have that! 🤓
Airmatic is only available in larger Mercedes, usually the E Class and above.GLB is A class based with transverse engine, these were never offered with airmatic. The higher S class have ABC, which is electro hydraulic suspension, more advanced/ complicated than airmatic, used to help prevent body roll and not just be active but pre - emotive, using cameras to read up coming bumps and adjust the dampers accordingly.
normally the higher the number the bigger the engine, for example the 55 was 5.4L V8, then came the 63 a 6.2L V8 with later also the 5.5L V8 and then both got replaced by the 4L V8 and at the top the 65 with the 6L V12
So damn sad the sound regs have ruined what automakers are allowed to do. My 2013 CLS 63 sounds MILES better than even the V12's of today since it was made back when there where really no restrictions on noise levels!
Thanks Nick. Is there any difference between regular model and AMG line suspension? I am wondering if 2023 GLC AMG line has same suspension as base trim, or is stiffer.
If there is a difference it’s barely noticeable, all non Mercedes AMG cars (so other trims are alway set up to be as comfortable as possible) In the UK you can only order AMG Line I believe unless it’s changed
I have A35 2021 model and I see yours is facelift and you have augumented reality. I saw that pre-facelift models also have it. But mine car doesn’t have it or it is because of country restriction i don’t know. How do I find out if I have it?
It’s not really worth it. Have it in my GLC 43. It’s a neat trick, but honestly…you will use it a couple times and then go back to using google maps or something.
It just depends on what was specified at factory / if it was available at the time of order. They’ll be a camera at the top of the windscreen if you do and the Sat Nav will show a camera feed with arrows as you navigate.
Don’t worry I’ve heard this many times before but rest assured the entry level engines in the compact car range are not just "Renault engines", Mercedes and Renault have combined their efforts together to produce a very highly economical, low emission and powerful engine. It’s common for some manufacturers to share designs with each other. Others include Mini Peugeot sharing their engines, Volvo and Noble, Mercedes S-Class & Pagani Zonda and many others too. For the engine you’re talking about, Mercedes also put their own tech and spin into it and designed Formula One technology such as Nanoslide and even cylinder shut-off called CAMTRONIC allowing the cylinders to go down to 2! None of this is found in the Renault’s engines so no, they are definitely not the same at all. Even the new variants feature mild hybrid technology which also is not found on Renault models. Hope that answers your question!
I bought one myself recently, and it’s great! It’s got Mild Hybrid technology built in (not a plug-in hybrid). Renault don’t have that so defo not the same! 🤓

Have owned both the 2023 W206 C300 and now the 2023 W206 C43 AMG. They are like totally different cars. The AMG is much rougher ride and louder tire noise (on 20 inch wheels vs 19s on the C300). Also the multi-plate wet clutch is unpredictable and clunky at low speeds. However, the power, handling, steering and sound are at another level above the C300. With its one-man, one-engine and rear-wheel steering, it has transitioned well into the true AMG experience. Tradeoffs to be sure.
A35 is not a true AMG but an AMG enhanced car. What’s bro talking about. The fundamental of Mercedes and what makes it an AMG is engine. I wish Mercedes would drop the AMG Line moniker and just call the version of the car "Sports" or "Avantgarde". Naming the variation "AMG Line" belittles the AMG ethos and it makes me (as an AMG Line owner) feel very awkward/wankerish. I hate having AMG badges on my carpets because I know my car I don't own an AMG. I feel it makes me look like a tosser when all I wanted was the sportier look without the AMG price tag. BTW real AMG owners are not tossers - they're fortunate to own amazing cars. The people who modify their standard cars with AMG grilles etc are the tossers. As always Nick - you've done an excellent job. A thousand thanks and please keep doing what you're doing.
Hey man, don’t feel like that I promise you no one ever thinks that of AMG Line in that way. If the select few do, then that’s on them. Primarily it just shows you people are fans of AMG 🤓 It’s no different to trims in other brands: BMW - M Sport Audi - RS / S Line VW - R Line Some people will always aspire to having high end performance cars and manufacturers make models that have some selected styling parts of those performance models. I have AMG Line on my car and I love it 👍🏼 I’m sure whatever car you have also looks great too!
No A180 here in North America. Currently have an A250 hatch, very fun to drive in sport mode. Sadly used cars here cost more than the new cars due to inflated market and price cap on new cars. A35 is very fun to rip around in compared to the A250, more emotion in the car with all that power (especially in the 45). No A45 here so just CLA45.
I have the the BMW M package on a non M car and I think it’s still adds sportiness and simply looks better. That include brembo calipers and two piece rotors, barkes air intake ducts, aero (just looks), very goof lateral support seats, M suspension stiffness/ geometry , sport wheel (just looks and maybe lighter),much lighter car compared to the M model. engine power is a lot of fun but it’s not necessarily required to make the car capable or fun. however many of the listed features were not standard but available after selecting M trim package. a read lsd would be nice but there are plenty of aftermarket options from torsen to clutch plates type.
Well then a brilliant collection of AMG'S i never new what AMG stood for now i do, its a pity you didn't stretch it out to buying your more powerful FULL POWER AMG, and left the LINE AMG with Mercedias
HI NICK 😊 Good Day , your fans from Los Angeles USA. A while ago you said there will be a JOIN BUTTON to join your group but somehow as of this current video 8/4/23 on my end I not see the JOIN button on mobile app ? It it geo restriction US ppl cant join that’s why I not see it ? Thank you so much
You can buy older AMG’s for cheap money. I have owned the SL 55 and the CLS 55 both with the supercharged 5.5 litre giving 500 bhp. All of these cars were purchased for less than 20k and were immaculate and importantly had fsh. Very impressive cars and I don’t impress easily having owned Ferraris, Astons, Lamborghinis and De Tomaso’s. Value for money it’s the AMG every time!
Brilliant and informative video. I should think that single handed your videos have sold more Mercedes than any salesperson at a dealership - certainly influenced me and my choice - and absolutely Mercedes should let you have your dream car!! Best Neil
@@npoleary Never get tired of your videos and I keep watching as they are far more informative on the Mercedes function than the handbook or anything else on line!!
Great viddys! Question hopefully you can help me with? I have a 2020 C43. Is there a way to start my car with my settings ready to go? Sports exhaust, sport mode, etc.? Thank you. Keep up the great work!
Glad you’re enjoying the videos! No sadly not, all cars no matter the model always start in their default mode. In Mercedes it’s Comfort. I wish you could though!
Interesting comparison. I had a BMW M4 last year, so I know what a quick car feels like. I now have a late Mercedes C350e sport plus premium. I have to say on just 17" rims its a great drive and quick in sport plus. Yes not 3.9 to 62 quick but quick enough. The ride between then is incomparable. The M4 is a rickety go cart of the car slipping out at the back in a really punishing way if you press the quick pedal even slightly. The 350e gives you a jag like ride but with a really nice interior. Anyway, I am still on for a c43 AMG V6 at some point, maybe next year before going fully electric.
Just FYI the A35, C53, E53 and so on are not considered to be "proper" AMG cars. They are above AMG line and below "true" AMG. Proper AMG is 63 and 65. Although the new C63 is laughable at best and doesn't deserve the badge. Also you're sitting way too far away from the steering wheel as you have to straighten your arm almost completely to reach the top.
AMG used to be something special but seems a very diluted name now only the 45, 55, 63 and 65 are proper AMG’s the rest used to be higher level trim Mercedes cars. So as an example, the C43 AMG used to be called the C450 AMG Line, exact same car same engine just different badges, the engine is not hand built in alfaterbach you don’t get the Plaque. It’s just Mercedes decided to do it as a marketing exercise to bring lower class cars with the AMG badge as they know it sells.
I had an AMG A45, kept smoking from new, mercedes refused to replace the engine, but instead they put a new piston in it, and guess what, it still kept smoking and AMG customer service refused to an anything else. Their response is the engine was too expensive to replace. Always judge a company by it's after service.
I am thinking of getting an AMG EQE 43 as my daily driver. The G400d Professional line is a real off roader and it is fast enough to give a little boy racer a run for his money!
Model 2020 E300 e with self steering and blind spot. It shouldnt be lowering speed cause its about the car behind me is getting very close to my pumper. Lowering speed will make it crash quicker into the back of my car
Correct me if I’m wrong Nick but the A35 isn’t a “real” AMG. It’s not got the hand built engine as the AMG 45 models have. For me that’s what defined the AMG, mine has “Peter Schindler’s” name on the build plaque on top of the engine. So lovely though the A35 is, the “AMG” world starts at the “45” engine range and goes through the “63” etc.
Basically Mercedes introduced two levels of AMG a number of years ago. Technically they are AMG’s, the only difference is that they’re not built with the one man, one engine philosophy. They still get all of the AMG treatment, they still have a running in period, they still put a smile on your face and they do come equipped with everything you’d expect from adding more power from the engine. So, firmer suspension, unique AMG styling, sometimes louder exhaust and much more!
4 months on after purchasing my c300e (amg line) estate; stunning car so lovely to drive as long as you have a light foot it can be very economical . i feel a bit cheated with the scrimping on things like wireless charging , a bog standard hyundai even come with wireless charging!.. anyway i digress. Nick your videos are a joy to watch :-)
Hi nick. Great video. Do only the brand new A35 have the control knobs on the steering wheel? I seen some 2023 A35 that don’t have it. I thought it was only on overseas variants? Thanks
I hate that half the manufacturers now use their spots model naming for their mid range cars that just have some nicer trim on. It just de-values their special cars.
Cheers Nick .. I didn't know what AMG stood for but do now 👍. I thought you was going to go through some of the noises the electric AMG does but you never ? I think this would be the pic of the bunch for me. Cheers again mate.
No worries! Ah I did turn it on in the video when I launched it You can hear it in the background in the main part of the video (no sound effects added on that part!) Or I have covered it here: ua-cam.com/video/Ft318ejsnu0/v-deo.html No 9 in that video
Is there any way that you guys take customer feedback back to Mercedes? I'm very disappointed in their new cars build quality. The flexing and creaking of panels is unacceptable. I have a W212 E Class which feels more solid than even the EQS inside. Things have gone downhill badly. I was looking to trade mine in for the W213 E Class but build quality isn't good. I also looked at the GLE and it was even worse.
Really sorry you’ll have to contact Mercedes. They have retailers and dealerships all around the UK I only review them on my UA-cam channel among other brands (coming soon) as I don’t work for Mercedes UK directly. Your comment about, '...all manufacturers are going all-electric...', fails to recognise one tiny problem. If all manufacturers decided to make enough cars to replace the entire current UK car fleet they would use up all the Earth's resources to do so...
UK government among many others round the world have set dates in the future in years to come of when all new car manufacturers need to change by. They’re working toward it now.
Really sorry I wouldn’t know about individual specs, I know that on some models it’s available and some standard equipment, some you have to spec it. You’ll have to chat to your local Mercedes, they could check it out for you!
Yes! This video is amazing! I am astounded and filled with wonder! I find myself wishing for a world where people actually know what the word "amazing" means. Meanwhile... Driving an AMG is as sensible as using a stick of dynamite to open a can of peas. People actually spend money on these. I am astounded and filled with wonder!
Well it would depend on what model you have 🤓 There’s loads of models out there, some newer ones have blind spot assist and manoeuvring assistance which can help with lower speeds.
Hey kendrickwilliams, yes absolutely! It’s still in my list of potential future videos! I haven’t forgotten, I’ve been super busy behind the scenes with my channel but soon they’ll be even more content coming soon!

I promise you no one ever thinks that of AMG Line in that way. If the select few do, then that’s on them.
Primarily it just shows you people are fans of AMG 🤓
It’s no different to trims in other brands:
BMW - M Sport
Audi - RS / S Line
VW - R Line
Some people will always aspire to having high end performance cars and manufacturers make models that have some selected styling parts of those performance models.
I have AMG Line on my car and I love it 👍🏼
I’m sure whatever car you have also looks great too!
Nothing looks more wrong than a mercedes with a wheel on the right hand side
I wish for you to own your dream amg soon, thank you for great review.
Thank you! 🙏🤓
Hopefully some TV Execs are aatching and they can get Nick a gig in the TV.
Haha oh I don’t know about that 😂
That would be pretty cool though!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🤓
Proper performance set up! 👊🏼
Thank you so much
No it’ll be there soon! 👍🏼
Recording a few videos for the announcement video 👍🏼
Thanks for hanging in there 🤓
You can buy older AMG’s for cheap money.
Yeah this power seems more than overkill for a daily driving car. But the sound of that classic AMG 63 engine is just intoxicating
Brilliant and informative video. I should think that single handed your videos have sold more Mercedes than any salesperson at a dealership - certainly influenced me and my choice - and absolutely Mercedes should let you have your dream car!! Best Neil
Awh thank you! Well I’ve never really thought about that but maybe! Haha that would be cool!
But I’d only end up making more videos on it! 😂😂
@@npoleary Never get tired of your videos and I keep watching as they are far more informative on the Mercedes function than the handbook or anything else on line!!
Thank you!
That settles it... if I win the lotto Nick is going shopping for me! Until then, I may feel like a pauper!
Wow I thought my C300 Sport was nippy but that A45 well 🤷♂🤷♂👍👍
Wouldn’t we all like AMGs in our garage, never know
Great viddys!
That's technically an AMG but not really. And they are pretty slow tbh.
You gotta trade your non AMG for AMG A 35. I own a '21 CLA 35 in the states and I absolutely love it! Keep up the great videos!
I would love that 😍 haha 😅
Thank you, more coming soon!
AMG used to be performance competence. Now it is just marketing of overweight noise polluting overly badged profit maximized vehicles …
Short explanation
1. Amg line - shit
2. Amg version of any mercedes - Good but not Best
3. Pure AMG sold under mercedes brand - buy it
UA-cam car reviewers and influencers have absolutely battered the image of G63. You'd think every Tom, Dick and Harry has it.
So, firmer suspension, unique AMG styling, sometimes louder exhaust and much more!
the EQE 55 has the same 0-60 as the A45s
@nick you could get yours up to190 horse power and 300 npm :) 190 is good enough
Mercedes doesn't need help with performance; it needs help with styling. The best looking thing they still qualifies as ugly.
AMG the best or nothing! You don’t have to buy new to get the car you want 😊
That's strange because i also drive the c300e amg line and i do have wireless charging. isnt this standard?
Specs vary round the world, it depends on what was selected at factory when it was made
Same mine came with wireless charging t
Hi nick. Great video. Do only the brand new A35 have the control knobs on the steering wheel? I seen some 2023 A35 that don’t have it. I thought it was only on overseas variants? Thanks
Yeah I believe so, it’s part of the facelift 🤓
I hate that half the manufacturers now use their spots model naming for their mid range cars that just have some nicer trim on.
It just de-values their special cars.
Thankyou👍👍👍👍❤️
Jesus, if you like speed then just get a tesla. This mercedes is so slow. It drives like a KIA Stinger
I loved your flabbergasted moment on the EQE... you deserve one of these ;-)
Cheers Nick .. I didn't know what AMG stood for but do now 👍. I thought you was going to go through some of the noises the electric AMG does but you never ? I think this would be the pic of the bunch for me. Cheers again mate.
No worries!
Ah I did turn it on in the video when I launched it
You can hear it in the background in the main part of the video (no sound effects added on that part!)
Or I have covered it here: ua-cam.com/video/Ft318ejsnu0/v-deo.html
No 9 in that video
Always so well presented! I concur Mercedes Benz should present one !
Thank you! 🙏
How beautiful mercedes interior sleek. Unlike BMW interior nowadays, ugly.
These screens look so ugly and cheap in a so expensive car, especially with those "teletubbies" colors.
All accurate… sound….the real deal …👏👏ride excellent…❤️mine….
Not a fan of the EQE interior. Just isn’t the right balance, the wood looks out of place.
Great video Nick. More AMG content please! Love your EQE reaction 😅
Yeah it literally did leave me speechless 😜
The dash on the EQE looks like a sheet of Formica or plywood. Ugly.
They have retailers and dealerships all around the UK
I only review them on my UA-cam channel among other brands (coming soon) as I don’t work for Mercedes UK directly.
I’m sure if you speak with your local Mercedes they’ll be able to help and check the car out!
Love my a200 but that G wagon 😍 oh my heart
Looking to buy the A200 too but haven’t got a chance to test one yet but have head positive things about it
@@happyhero1093 lovely mate. Had mine 6 weeks now (2020) plate with 9k on the clock. First what I would call nice car I’ve even had. Never spent more than 3k on a car before now but saved up and fell in love with Mercedes and it’s been nothing but a pure pleasure to drive and valet. You won’t be disappointed if you get one
Good evening Mr Oleary hope you are well, question can you get hold of the new Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV question i keep getting some one has sent you a thumbs up however when i go to it there is NO thumbs up from ANYONE this has happened once on your channel ? im getting this on another channels also i think from now on good luck on me taking the time to put a comment up for any body
Sadly no I’ve not seen one since it’s launch
I’d love to check one out through!
Hyper screen makes the car, ridiculous of .mercedes not to give as standard.
Hello Nick. Thanks for this video. My GLA 220d Prem Plus Night Ed doesnt have wireless charging when it is supposed to. Do you know why?
Really sorry I wouldn’t know about individual specs, I know that on some models it’s available and some standard equipment, some you have to spec it. You’ll have to chat to your local Mercedes, they could check it out for you!
EQE ….. that slab of wood on the dash looks like a dinner table 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Nick I believe you will get one AMG yourself. I am waiting for the subscription. All the best to you.
Thank you! One day! 😜
Working on it! Coming soon 👀
Just recording the last few bits 👍🏼
Amazing video! Thanks Nick for introducing the world of Mercedes to us, your followers all around the world
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video again Nick. Now how do I afford an A35….
Hello Nick,
Would you kindly help? What happens when another car approaches mine Mercedes from back corner while driving?
Well it would depend on what model you have 🤓
There’s loads of models out there, some newer ones have blind spot assist and manoeuvring assistance which can help with lower speeds.
u didnt do anything. no launch no offroad, well, any car can get u from a to b so wtf.
You were going to do video on Sharing You Mercedes,, I think called Digital Key Handover? You haven't yet.
Hey kendrickwilliams, yes absolutely! It’s still in my list of potential future videos! I haven’t forgotten, I’ve been super busy behind the scenes with my channel but soon they’ll be even more content coming soon!
