I discovered WATF during pre covid..and have fallen in LOVE🖤! There’s a part of me wishes they would come out with a new album..but if they chosen to focus on family..that’s a great choice🙌🏾

They should have added it anyway... I mean, they named the band "we are the fallen" knowing that the best Evanescence album is called Fallen... This name thing is a huge polemic in my opinion, but since they went with this name, this song would be even close to how polemic the band name is... They should have tried to stay away from this type of dispute. The band ended because a lot of Evanescence fans spread hate towards this band.

And I think this band failed because they couldn't separate themselves from the sound of Fallen-era Evanescence. I think they might have a chance of revival if they head in a different direction.

Evanescence self titled album could never be as successful as Fallen was because it is much more niche, so if you calculate the average of acceptance and reach of each album, then you will see that the self titled is statistically a trash.

Fallen had a huge success because it happened to come out during the time when kids were into the "gothic/emo" era and it was a big hit because of "goth" Amy being the lead singer,and it was new and unique in pop radio. An album like Fallen coming out now would not be met with the same reception it did then, especially since there are now so many female fronted bands with arguably better albums than Fallen. Fallen just happened to come at the right time, at the right place and being the first of its kind. Take that away, and I'm sure it would not do as well today. But as far as creativity and lyrics, everything after Fallen is way, way better. And it makes sense, since the lyrics in Fallen come straight from their teenage years, and Amy has even said it's embarrassing, like reading her own diary when she was a teenager. As for Ben, he likes to reuse and rehash the same guitar rifts over and over. All his songs sound the same. Even in WAtF, there's a song that uses the same damn rift as Going Under. It's silly. But to be fair, he has admitted in interviews that Amy Lee has always been the more creative one of the two, whereas he just wants to make more commercial music.
