Stay strong, i know it is difficult and very sad. My dad was also an abusive alcoholic for most of my life. Surprisingly he did stop drinking, but he behavior stayed the same. I have now as an adult written him off 🥺 which breaks my heart but in the end my happiness needs to come first. I hope u are ok and things work out to bring u happiness and peace 🤍
these songs made me cry, theyre not just music or lyrics, theyre raw emotions being let out. I was born legally blind & a genetic disease that doesnt let my nerves detect pain so i get injured a lot. I was deprived of my parents love as a kid & had no friends due to people being afraid of my “looks” and being facially deformed. Lost all my teeth, lost a toe, lost sight, my body filled with burns & bruises... and all everyone does is run away. I’m only turning 17 now and severely touch starved.... it always feels like no one will ever care, I wish my mom would someday. My mother and my sister don't enjoy your music, but it speaks to me on such a level I won't let them stop me from listening to it. It's comforting, in a weird way, to hear that other people are struggling with some of the things that I am. Hearing what you turn your struggles into is such an inspiration to continue on, and to keep strong. You're story means so much to me, as it is very similar to the one that I've gone through (minus the musical genius part). I hope that you never stop, and I love your songs, old and new. In my 35 years of life this is the first time I've found myself liking an entire album, from the beginning till the end. Never stop bringing the world your beautiful music man!
This music was a delight and a surprise to end up on my auto play list, I love every one of them, and how shockingly relatable these subjects are not only to my own life, but to many others. In short, my life has always been a struggle, since the moment I was honestly born due to the fact my mother wanted to induce her own labor by her own means 3+ weeks early, and the fact it succeeded and probably wasn't a good idea and that I survived is a miracle onto it's self. my childhood was always filled with deception and abuse from my parents but sadly, I was put into immense fear about speaking up about it before I was 18, it was too late by the time I realized the stories and lies I was told weren't true about child services, and the damage was done and it effected my life immensely. It hasn't been until recently (and I'm 27 now) that I actually began living my own life, and am very happy with the love of my life now who I intend to marry, they rescued me as much as I have them, and she was a victim of domestic abuse prior. Good things can come after a long road of turmoil. Even if you feel like quitting early. :') Don't give up.

This soundtrack feels like the last year of my life. I still feel so much pain, and the love of my life still doesn't understand how much it hurts every day still and how hard it is to be friends, and still love him so deeply that it feels like a crushing weight I can't bear. I almost stopped listening to music altogether, because we loved doing that together. I literally cried every day for 6 months. I still do every time I think about it. For months I just prayed I would die. I will not lie and say those thoughts don't still cross my mind from time to time. I try and find meaning in little things, but the struggle is real. People say, you'll find someone else. But everyone else I wear a mask with. He was the only one I let all the way in. I miss our love. I miss the way we were together. We could be ourselves with each other. He was my best friend, my confidante, my lover, my favorite person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I miss his heart. Thanks for these songs. I'm new to your music at mo age 66 but my gosh the sincerity, raw emotion is truly mind-blowing, my daughter introduced me to u and it's the Hope song that started my journey, I suffer mental health and since retirement feel lost at times , it's a struggle daily but then just need one uplift and I feel and see hope , u are a brillient singer and to know u use your sings to help people as that'll is what u are doing. "Anxiety" was the first song I heard of yours and honestly I broke down crying that first time because it seemed to put into words what I was feeling at the time. It's amazing how the hurt and pain of the moment, the hard times we never think we will get through... It is amazing how when we look back at it all, suddenly we can see the beautiful plan of God, how he worked through the darkest parts of our lives to help us through and bring us to where we are.

Hi Nathan. All of your songs bring out so much emotion with me. I am SUVIVOR of sexual, verbal and emotional abuse. I became disabled at the age of 48. I have lower back injuries, and mental issues. I suffer from brain damage that was caused by a doctor putting me on the wrong medication and instead of being concerned about me going from 125 pounds to 90 pounds in three months he just kept increasing the dosage on the medication. It made me have a psychotic breakdown about 5 years ago. It was so bad my son almost put me in the lockdown stress unit of our local hospital. When I called the Dr. saying something was wrong I got a message back from his nurse telling me he couldn't help me. I didn't know what to do, so I had to go cold turkey off of pain medication, benzodiazepines, depression medication and the epilepsy medication he put me on for mood swings. It was the worst three months I think I've ever gone through. If it hadn't been for my beloved service dog Trixie and my son I would have died. My puppy would wake me up because I would stop breathing and my son worked full time and had very little sleep while I went through withdrawals. I am now completely off prescription meds and use OTC and herbal supplements. I feel so much better except for the memory loss and anger outbursts that I still suffer through. I just want people to know that there is help out there if you really want it. Sorry for being so long winded, I just wanted to let you know what I'm dealing with for the rest of my life and to tell you how grateful I am for your honesty and strength. Your music is fantastic and I'm so glad to be a faithful fan. THANK YOU NATHAN FOR EVERYTHING. LOVE YOU.

'Blood' has hit me really hard ever since i came across it a few months ago. I don't know why. It still makes me cry sometimes when i hear it. Gives me a way to release the emotions that my pride won't let me show or explain. It's been part of the reason why i can figure out what's bothering me. The connection and how much i can relate to the lyrics in my own way, have been the gateway for me to finally start to figure out myself. I spent years blocking myself out just because i thought i was doing myself a favor by not bearing the weight of knowing the reasons to my problems. I realized, a few weeks ago, that I was just making myself more confused and depressed. I doubt i could have figured that out if i hadn't found my way over to your music. It was a wake up call. This music was a delight and a surprise to end up on my auto play list, I love every one of them, and how shockingly relatable these subjects are not only to my own life, but to many others. In short, my life has always been a struggle, since the moment I was honestly born due to the fact my mother wanted to induce her own labor by her own means 3+ weeks early, and the fact it succeeded and probably wasn't a good idea and that I survived is a miracle onto it's self. my childhood was always filled with deception and abuse from my parents but sadly, I was put into immense fear about speaking up about it before I was 18, it was too late by the time I realized the stories and lies I was told weren't true about child services, and the damage was done and it effected my life immensely. It hasn't been until recently (and I'm 27 now) that I actually began living my own life, and am very happy with the love of my life now who I intend to marry, they rescued me as much as I have them, and she was a victim of domestic abuse prior. Good things can come after a long road of turmoil. Even if you feel like quitting early. :') Don't give up.

This soundtrack feels like the last year of my life. I still feel so much pain, and the love of my life still doesn't understand how much it hurts every day still and how hard it is to be friends, and still love him so deeply that it feels like a crushing weight I can't bear. I almost stopped listening to music altogether, because we loved doing that together. I literally cried every day for 6 months. I still do every time I think about it. For months I just prayed I would die. I will not lie and say those thoughts don't still cross my mind from time to time. I try and find meaning in little things, but the struggle is real. People say, you'll find someone else. But everyone else I wear a mask with. He was the only one I let all the way in. I miss our love. I miss the way we were together. We could be ourselves with each other. He was my best friend, my confidante, my lover, my favorite person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I miss his heart. Thanks for these songs. They are slowly helping me. The order is... exact. You aren't the only one, though it doesn't make it any easier.

Hi Nathan. All of your songs bring out so much emotion with me. I am SUVIVOR of sexual, verbal and emotional abuse. I became disabled at the age of 48. I have lower back injuries, and mental issues. I suffer from brain damage that was caused by a doctor putting me on the wrong medication and instead of being concerned about me going from 125 pounds to 90 pounds in three months he just kept increasing the dosage on the medication. It made me have a psychotic breakdown about 5 years ago. It was so bad my son almost put me in the lockdown stress unit of our local hospital. When I called the Dr. saying something was wrong I got a message back from his nurse telling me he couldn't help me. I didn't know what to do, so I had to go cold turkey off of pain medication, benzodiazepines, depression medication and the epilepsy medication he put me on for mood swings. It was the worst three months I think I've ever gone through. If it hadn't been for my beloved service dog Trixie and my son I would have died. My puppy would wake me up because I would stop breathing and my son worked full time and had very little sleep while I went through withdrawals. I am now completely off prescription meds and use OTC and herbal supplements. I feel so much better except for the memory loss and anger outbursts that I still suffer through. I just want people to know that there is help out there if you really want it. Sorry for being so long winded, I just wanted to let you know what I'm dealing with for the rest of my life and to tell you how grateful I am for your honesty and strength. Your music is fantastic and I'm so glad to be a faithful fan. THANK YOU NATHAN FOR EVERYTHING. LOVE YOU.

'Blood' has hit me really hard ever since i came across it a few months ago. I don't know why. It still makes me cry sometimes when i hear it. Gives me a way to release the emotions that my pride won't let me show or explain.
It's been part of the reason why i can figure out what's bothering me. The connection and how much i can relate to the lyrics in my own way, have been the gateway for me to finally start to figure out myself.
I spent years blocking myself out just because i thought i was doing myself a favor by not bearing the weight of knowing the reasons to my problems. I realized, a few weeks ago, that I was just making myself more confused and depressed. I doubt i could have figured that out if i hadn't found my way over to your music. It was a wake up call. I'm finally learning to open up again

Oh wow I’m emotional. I can’t believe that that one song I discovered two years ago (June 2019 wow!) now turned into an entire album! Like wow! Nathan I am beyond proud of you! Like really! It makes so, so happy to see you grow and people loving and listening to your music because you are the most genuine artist I know! Your music speaks to me on another level, always did. It just felt like someone was suddenly trying to put my feelings into words and I admire that greatly! I’m full of joy now. Your music will always be a part of me, I’m so grateful. Your words truly give me comfort, the feeling that I’m not alone in this world. Your music gives me hope, helps me through tough times. It’s a gift to this world, makes me believe that everything will work out somehow. It’s like that small spark of light at the end of a tunnel.
