I just read an article about a Chinese woman who went there alone. I got so sick reading about her wonderful time there. And how she wasn't forced to dress like the woman from there. Sometimes I feel like there is no hope for humanity. I see how some people just care more about mountains and a destroyed statue than women and children.
I read it too a month ago. And feel same way. Still feel this way but I know that the good people are prevail. We shouldn't allow them believe that they are the narrator or something. I hope you understand my point.
When I still lived in Germany (my home country) I knew this Afghani family. He left Afghanistan to protect his wife and 2 daughters from the religious regime. And that was over 15 years ago. But he was also educated (engineer) and not a religious freak goat shepherd
@@elainstill1671 I did and it meant nothing. We're so done for if enough people don't learn the second time around, but I will continue to stand against this tyranny.
Actually, the powers that be seem to be blaming and punishing women for men’s weird obsession with them. And keeping women cover up and out of sight means these men will never see women as just regular members of society.
I can't imagine anyone wanting to visit Afghanistan. Especially knowing how poorly women and girls are treated. It's wild there was an increase in tourism. 😮😮🤯🤯
I think if the rest of the world said 'If you're a woman, and you're from any of these areas, get to the first safe country and then we'll assign you a safe country based on refugee quotas shared between nations.' then Afganistan and Iran would literally have to chain them to walls to stop most of them. Though, they are only two clicks away from doing that anyway, so what they got to loose.
THANK YOU for discussing this!! I never even knew these women have been despairing to this degree to regular self-deletions, but it makes sense. This is 100% a Feminist issue!
Absolutely insane. Women are the only ones who can unite and stop this madness. This makes me so mad and sad at the same time. Thank you for reporting on this. Damn tho😑
Peace is never the option when this is what you're going up against. I understand trying it at first, but there's too much global history of how this almost always never works to sit in the notion of doing it peacefully...
@almamater9346 not sure if you're replying to me or others but I never said anything about women being peaceful. I just said women need to unite. Someone else also commented that the women there have tried that and were shot at. I'm not referring to the women over there ONLY uniting. Women ALL OVER THE WORLD must unite and strategize. I'm thinking MUCH differently than most people, I see so much possibility to stop this madness but most will say it's "not possible", when that in fact isn't true.
Burb, I’m not sure if you watch MTN (Meidas Touch Network) on UA-cam, but they did a segment on the Afghan women of the 1970s in comparison to now. This was around the time of the election season and it included images of women wearing skirts at their jobs, schools, or in the streets of Afghanistan; and it was a strong message on the intentions of these nationalists’ regimes for women. Quite scary!
A lack of self preservation. Some countries I will never visit are India, Afghanistan and Iran and that’s just a few. I’m not putting my life, my fiancé or my young daughters life on the line just to travel to a country that doesn’t recognize women and girls as human beings.
Apologies for the slightly long comment. The whole situation honestly makes me want to cry every time I read another article on these issues. I get so frustrated and angry about how women and girls are treated all around the world and am so grateful to live in Ireland. Not that we don't have our problems, (particularly historically - Magdalene laundries, mother and baby homes and the treatment of women in general) but compared to a lot of countries we have it good with very little prospect of returning to the Dark Ages. Yes there is a huge issue with domestic violence and violence against women but over the last couple of years there have been more laws passed and there is a lot more awareness of the problem. As an outside observer I wish the people of the US the very best dealing with the situation you now find yourself in. Thank you for the work you do on your channel.
First, they told them to dress modestly not to tempt the men. Then they told them to stop talking. Now women can't even be seen in their own homes, minding their own business potentially without "tempting" men. It's not us or our bodies that are the issue, it's their aversion to accountability. The don't want to have to practice self control or hold eachother accountable. So they over police women and blame women for their nad behavior.
Only if you allow it and follow along with it. You give your Power away and they will take everything. I'm good. I'm not following some idiotic rules a man made to subjugate girls/women. If anyone need to have an abortion in my family, they will get it. I care less what a man and HIS laws say. There are other Countries and States. Learn how to fight back collectively and not just accept what some sick pup write into Law because he's on a Power trip.
Without downplaying the South African apartheid, thus is worse. Natives of SA to my knowledge were not imprisoned in their homes. These are conditions worse than slavery. I would think that Afghan men would also find this horribly oppressive too & many would empathize with their wives & female relatives. Originally only upper class women in Arabia wore full veils & were segregated in private. Slave women were not, and similar customs were practiced in ancient Athens for example. I dont believe its traditional Afghan culture either. Like I said this is extrene even for conservative Islam but even with how patriarchal Christianity & Judaism can be I have never heard of misogyny this extreme in either of those religions.
Honestly, apartheid affected men as well, so it had to change due to the impact on males, obviously. We don't count- or there are enough people to feel we shouldn't.
The state of Afghanistan is solely on America tbh You did your whole war on terrorism thing, to defeat a enemy, introduced modern principles, and equality in society; then just up and left, in the knowledge you hadn't defeated the enemy, who just strolled back into control of the nation.
The USA did not create Islam. The USA did not create the Islamic invasions. The USA did not create the Sultanate. Women have been oppressed for thousands of years all around the world, but especially in the Middle East. The USA did not create that. Abusers are responsible for their own actions, regardless of whatever sad origin story they use to excuse their monstrosity. The USA tried to help Afghanistan, and was told, over and over, it was hopeless. A decade of trying did not destroy the hateful misogynists. We can blame Trump for deliberately (probably with his son in law's planning) sabotaging the Afghani govt, but it is still on Afghanis. They fought huge empires successfully, but let the Taliban be at home.
Bullshit detected Given he amount of Afghanistan people who have successfully sought asylum in America, due to incoming persecution and murderous intent from the taliban, for aiding America in its operations and forming its own independent government, would suggest plenty of locals did plenty for themselves and the US. It was probably propaganda
Some people lack empathy. It’s just totally missing.

The goat shepherd religious freak is basically the same as our backwater country yokel religious freak (white n black)
This horrifies me. Respect to the brave women of Afghanistan who are fighting this insane cruelty!
Could you imagine the mental health of these women?!
I've said this many times and I'm not stopping now: it can happen here.
This is absolutely what we are in for in the next four years. VOTE! YOUR FREEDOM COUNTS ON IT!!!!
It's already beginning, and these idiots who voted for Trump just made it so much easier for it to happen

It’s so depressing to see hard proof of how little the powers that be care about women.
How little those women care about themselves.
Actually, the powers that be seem to be blaming and punishing women for men’s weird obsession with them. And keeping women cover up and out of sight means these men will never see women as just regular members of society.

The worst kind of men might find it a turn-on
Because women and children don't matter as much as scenic mountains/ landscapes or broken statues.
Its probably men going over there because they know how it is for women there... Ew
Wasn't an increase in tourism probably passport Bros trying to find a wife that is very very desperate.
why are they so obsessed with smexuality??
Afghanistan’s men are going to have to become passport bros. The entire country is going to be one giant sausage party.
It already is. In places like this, the men actually start preying on young boys. They call the bachabazi
Look up Bacha bazi
I hope no foreign women settle for them
@@Rogueviewer1Omg 😢
Gay man that hate women for existing
Unbelievable. Those poor women. I can't imagine. Anyone with that stamp on their passport, shouldn't be allowed into America and other nations.
They used to have the same freedoms we had 3 years ago, we have less now and getting worse! Vote for womens freedoms .

It’s horrifying how the humanity of those (ultimately all) women doesn’t register with most of the world when it comes down to it.
Careful, if you don’t give people anything to live for…
Yep, I can definitely see the self-deletion rates rising amongst the women and girls there just like in some places in Africa
The most dangerous are the ones who have NOTHING to lose in this world
I think women in these situations should do what men start doing if they have to go through just 10% of what women do.
RIGHT!!!

They tried. They were shooting at them in the streets as they peacefully protested.
I wish that we could just find a way to get them out of Afghanistan and away from the abusive men 😢 They need asylum

There's a similar photo of Iran before and after the revolution.
Thank you for your post. I love the Meidas Touch Network and will definitely watch this video.
Why don’t they elaborate on these so-called obscene acts? And can they please specify who will be committing these “ obscene acts“
Men, of course.
Their own sons, brothers, fathers, and husband’s of course. Women, girls, nor poor males(men and boys) are of any value to them.
Keep reporting on this. I haven't heard about it anywhere else.
I can't believe anybody would "vacation" in Afghanistan, that's just stupid. Men ok maybe I get it, but women? What is that?

The US also played a role in most of these extremist regimes gaining power, because they opposed the Sicuetd.
Could Middle Eastern women shave their heads? Then they wouldn't have any hair to cover?
Shaving a women's head is done after accusations of adultery, so no they won't shave their heads.
I'm sure there's a rule against that as well.
